2. Put your scene in a .pdf and make sure it includes “Written by _____” at the top. Also give a quick one-paragraph “setup” at the top that has your feedback partner understand what led up to this scene.
3. Partner up in this topic below. Let us know who is exchanging with whom.Send your partner a Private Message and attach your scene.
4. Reply within 24 hours with your partner’s feedback.

I’m not quite sure how to proceed. I am also in the WIM course to work on my first script so I haven’t yet written a scene to share.

I have a very rough one-page that’s going through a rewrite. It has many holes as I continue to brainstorm. If anyone wants to give feedback – let me know. Also – I don’t know how to send a Private Message – so let me know how to do that and I will follow through.
Also – is it weird that the label on this particular forum is Week 4? Shouldn’t it be week 1?
I also notice that some class members are posting a week or two ahead in the forums. My class started last week, May 15. Did we all start at the same time?

Hello Deb, I don’t wish to add to your confusion, like the blanket of smoke now covering New York. But, I am reading your message on Wednesday 7th June, and your message appeared in the Forums for Week 4.
I also began on May 15th and am now in Week 4.
I cannot proceed because I keep getting a message that Week 4, Day 1 will not be available till 30th June. Are you having a similar problem?
I have informed Support Team but the problem continues.
Maybe this cloud of smoke will soon lift.

I was able to access the Week 4 Audio Recording on Character Moments today.
It says I will have access to Week 4, Days 1 & 2 tomorrow.
I also put in a request last week to see if they could change the forum headings for week 3 to reflect the correct scene analysis.
At any rate – I’ve been able to access everything else in a timely manner and am enjoying/learning/elevating my writing even with these small glitches! Hope you are too!

Yes, this is a very good class.
I just wish I didn’t keep getting the message: “Available on… June 30th… Available on July 2nd 1:30 am” when I try to access the lessons in Week 4. Anyway, I am sure it will be worth the wait!

hi, since we’ve started here, yes feedback exchange page for week one has appeared twice and disappeared. i too don’t know how to connect for messages, it definitely would help the interaction, reading the room so far. i also have a bit to go before I am ready to share a scene, although looking forward to it. i’ve already asked customer support, and they usually answer pretty much soon in office hours.

Paul, I had same problem with dates, for which I had to contact Customer Service and they fixed it right away. Msgs re should appear in your email within a day or maybe 2…not sure they work on weekends.
Also, some other weird things…like incorrectly naming the movie to watch and comment on. Hope you have it cleared up soon.

I’ve modified my outline and brainstormed three scripts for this course, but haven’t completed anything except scenes that I’ve rejected as taking each script in directions I didn’t want to go. I tried exchanging with one person back in the beginning, but never heard back. This course has definitely strengthened my understanding of character, because of the clips we watched. It was good review of what Hal presented in the Pro Series and MSC.

Yes, we have all had the same issues with unusual dates, wrongly placed sections, however I did get an answer and was able to access week 4. I was behind also due to family issues etc. that happened as the class issues happened. I believe that we all agree that the class is very informative as far as learning various techniques/breakthroughs. I know that I have – I can exchange with someone.
