Oliver returns to Germany for his father’s funeral and discovers his mother’s sudden passing, fueling his suspicion of foul play. He seeks answers and meets Petra, a dismissive homicide detective. During his investigation, Oliver visits the notary and uncovers a recently signed power of attorney, raising doubts about his mother’s intentions. As he grapples with PTSD and sleeping disorders, Oliver finds solace in Marie, leading to a spontaneous night together. While searching his parents’ house, he stumbles upon his mother’s diary in a hidden compartment, raising questions about her seemingly peaceful death.

What I learned doing this assignment is… that every time I articulate the bones of the story, I zero in on what will make the show more binge-worthy.

What I learned doing this assignment is outlining helps organize my thoughts and just jotting down something will help me later expand. Especially since I just changed some facts about my main character that I feel will fit better.

Main Mystery:How and Why the forest is dying from a magical disease that could spread to the human world.

Main Conflict: a human has magic and not everyone is happy about it.

Pilot Conflict: Wilma the Tree is not happy a human has magical abilities now and more of nature agrees with her.
Characters Introduced: Susan, Wilma the Tree, Mystery Forest Ranger
Inciting Incident of Season 1: Susan gets shot, falls and bleeds out, to the next moment she wakes up, sits up and see the bullet is sitting next to her. A figure steps out of the tree and becomes a shape of the man of her dreams dressed in a forest ranger outfit and the trees start talking to her! What! Susan is introduced to another world.

What I learned doing this assignment is that everything is starting to fall in place for the pilot. We have put together the foundation of the pilot with these parts that we listed.
