Ben’ relationship with Vivien – Tate – Hayden
Surface – Viv: Husband – Wife / Tate: Psychiatrist – Patient / Hayden: Teacher – Student
Common Ground – Viv: Marriage&Children / Tate: Tortured by personal mistakes they’d like to forget or pretend didn’t happen / Hayden: School
Conflict – Viv: Infidelity / Tate: Tate’s relationship with Ben’s daughter&Tate has violent thoughts and Ben tries to report him / Hayden: Still married to Vivien&Hayden’s pregnant&Ben helped to cover up her murder
History – Viv: Suffered through the loss of a child&Ben cheated on Viv / Tate: He and his mom lived in the house many years before the Harmon family / Hayden: Had an affair with Ben

Common Ground – Priest: Work to help others&Community service / Ms. Jay: Family / Sara: Married and had a daughter together
Conflict – Priest: Philosophical differences in dealing with conflict and threats / Ms. Jay: She never approved of his marriage / Sara: Relationship didn’t survive the loss of their daughter
History – Priest: Used to be with same church but Gregg left / Ms. Jay: Gregg’s sister died when he was young&Dad disappeared when Gregg was a teen / Sara: Fell in love too young

Relationship Arc: she worked for him, lovers to enemies who love each other / supporter and watch dog to protect him / she has her own life now that she is the President’s wife

Conflict: don’t agree on how many should be allocated / council has selfish ambitions, she has overall goals / amount of money given to developers for city changes and construction
History: new relationship, not sure if they can trust each other / councilman voted for her, expects loyalty, she is by the book / new relationship, she is suspicious because they are too friendly
Subtext: she thinks the mayor is too new and incompetent / she believes council is doing back door deals, suspicious / she wants to stop money from being given to a particular developer
