    Hi everyone,

I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.

To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.

    Tell us the following:

    1. Name?

    2. How many scripts you’ve written?

    3. What you hope to get out of the class?

    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?

We look forward to working with you all!

    1. Anne Denise Weber (“AnDe”)

    2. One script completed, recognized as a finalist in competitions; several scripts still in draft.

    3. Each script reflects a part of my life experience and I commit to doing the hard work to make each one the best it can be.

    4. A life-long horror fan, the grit of that genre’s “final girl” trope inspired me to take risks. Using my life experience navigating those risks, I aim to refresh & rejuvenate the horror genre. My thriller/horror stories with universal feminist & social themes originate from my work as a geologist and attorney in a dangerous male-dominated field from the Arctic Circle to the tip of South America.

    1. Shelley Darling

    2. One script, a true story that begins with five dreams leading me back to a historical Gilded Age Resort, only to unfurl a prodigious legacy.

    3. As I have taken other courses with Hal and benefitted immensely, I will animate and elevate the script in ways I can’t imagine.

    4. I have not been in the film industry other than being compelled to complete this script. I have written one book (the second book just completed its first edit) and traveled internationally, teaching Evolutionary Dowsing and empowering people to live their full potential.

    1. Peter Harris

    2. About 14 variations of “Judge MoFo,” a comedy judicial/legal drama.

    3. Aspiration: one final rewrite that’s ready for prime time.

    4. As a former lawyer and recovering judge, I’ve written a screenplay about a judge who’s a composite of a number of zany and larger-than-life characters with whom I have crossed paths (and swords). Think of judge as hot-headed as Al Pacino in “And Justice for All.” I’m also interested in whether a script can gain industry traction if I don’t live in the centre of the universe, L.A. (I’m ensconced in an igloo in a polar region called Toronto, Canada). Cheryl & Hal, thanks for doing this. Best regards to all, Peter.
