Posted by cheryl croasmun on July 5, 2021 at 10:16 pmHi everyone,
I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.
To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

1. Name? Rachel Morgan
2. How many scripts you’ve written? Two
3. What you hope to get out of the class? I hope to improve my writing, strengthen characters and improve the structure of my scripts.
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you? I’m Canadian but was born in Venezuela, which means about half the time I board a plane or cross the border into the U.S. I get the full security check. Just have to bite my tongue and not ask the security agent whether the full body pat-down was good for her, too.

Hi everyone!
My name is Jaye and I’m very happy to be part of this class.
I recently finished my 6th script and it feels good to keep the momentum going!
I look forward to rewriting my 3rd script that I am in LOVE with, but needs some TLC that I haven’t been able to master on my own! I am currently finishing up the ProSeries Class, and I can tell you that if you trust Hal and Cheryl, the process, and yourselves, breakthroughs will happen, and you will create something magical.
Something unique about myself, is that I like to make ASMR videos on YouTube.
I’m excited to be learning alongside all of you!

My name is David Kithcart
I’ve written two scripts. Because I work full time, I may not be able to do follow this course at the same pace as everyone. This may hinder my full participation in sharing my work with the class. However, my hope in taking this course is to gain the skills to do a well-directed rewrite of my scripts that will elevate them to the level of being presentable for submission to interested parties.
By the way, sorry for the multiple attempts at agreeing to the confidentiality agreement.
Grace and Peace to you all,
David

Hi all. I’m Pat Semler
I’ve written 16+ scripts, some not so good, some written in a variety of Hal’s classes. Writing is therapy so its an ongoing river.
I’m looking forward to enhancing my rewrites to make the process faster and elevate material to gain requests for reads.
Something unusual – I work at an Orlando theme park. For 12 of those years I was a pyrotechnic show technician, setting out the product we used in our show and lighting a performer on fire for the finale.

Hi everyone,
I’m Erica Miner and I’ve written 11 scripts in different genres. I’ve tried rewriting all of them and I feel that I’ve gotten really close in some of them, but I’m not ‘there’ yet. I hope the class will empower me to get at least some of my scripts to the next level.
Unusual? In my former life I was a violinist with the Metropolitan Opera, so music is my guide and my muse in everything I do. But I also was taught Creative Writing when I was a kid in grade school, so I love music and writing equally.

Hi, my name is Pamela Rice.
This is my first solo attempt at a screenplay.
I’ve collaborated on several Rom-Coms with my hubby, and I’m currently working on a Comedy/Thriller concept that was conceived in Hal’s Comedy class 2 years ago.
I’m hoping to improve the overall quality of my script as I go through the class, and make sure each scene is as entertaining as possible.
In addition to being a newbie screenwriter, I am a co-owner of a doggie daycare.
-
Name: Robert Onufer
I have written seven screenplays and about a dozen spec teleplays.
I am looking to have this course focus me on a non-linear rewrite.
I am a recently retired engineer who took a shot a screenwriting what seems like a lifetime ago. During that attempt I entered and placed in several contests winning two of them, including one sponsored by the American Film Institute.
