    Karen Christine´s Action Track

What I learned doing this assignment is:
I learned that action isn’t just about movement and adrenaline—it’s about advancing the story, revealing character, and raising the stakes. Each action scene must serve a purpose, whether it’s pushing Charlie to grow, showing the villain’s ruthlessness, or creating a turning point in the mission. By escalating the action across the acts, the audience stays engaged while Charlie’s transformation becomes more meaningful.

    Action Questions

    A. Considering the concept from Lesson 1, what action could naturally show up in this movie?
Chases and escapes: Charlie is constantly on the run with the lie detector, using his dogs and wits to evade Sylvia’s mercenaries.
Fights and confrontations: Charlie must face mercenaries, but his unconventional style (using leashes, tennis balls, and dog tricks) adds humor and creativity.
Rescues: Sophie’s kidnapping forces Charlie to step up and take risks he’s never faced before.
Dangerous situations: The lie detector’s ability to expose lies creates tension in high-stakes environments, like a live broadcast or a political gala.

    B. Considering the Mission and Villain Tracks, what action could work for this track?
Sylvia’s escalating attacks (mercenaries, smear campaigns, kidnapping Sophie) drive the action.
Charlie’s attempts to protect the lie detector and expose Sylvia lead to creative, chaotic action scenes.
The climax revolves around a public confrontation where Charlie uses the lie detector to turn the tide against Sylvia.

    C. How can the action start well, build in the 2nd Act, and escalate to a climax in the 3rd Act?
Act 1: Action begins with a small-scale ambush, introducing Charlie’s resourcefulness and the stakes of protecting the lie detector.
Act 2: Action escalates with chases, fights, and dangerous situations as Sylvia’s attacks become more aggressive.
Act 3: The climax features a high-stakes rescue and public showdown, where Charlie must outsmart Sylvia and expose her crimes.

    Selected Action Types
Chase/Pursuit: Charlie evades mercenaries while protecting the lie detector.
Fight: Creative, comedic fights using everyday objects and dog tricks.
Rescue: Sophie’s kidnapping adds emotional stakes and forces Charlie to take bold action.
Escape/Evade: Charlie uses his wits and the dogs to escape dangerous situations.
Dangerous Situations: High-stakes environments like a gala or live broadcast.

    Public Confession (Dangerous Situation)

Purpose: The emotional and thematic payoff of the story.
