  Hi. I’m Marie Wilson. I’ve written two feature film screenplays and am almost finished my third. I hope to get out of this class a real sense of transformation in my lead characters because I know that’s what will make my work outstanding instead of just good basic writing. Harper Collins published my novel The Gorgeous Girls. And I’m a film noir aficionado. Looking forward to meeting you all and digging into the course!

  Hello everyone My name is Trosky Long. Technically I haven’t written any screenplays yet but I have around 3 that are unfinished LOL. What I hope to gain out of this class is more of a determined, strong, and super creative writing style. I want my writing to stand out amongst the greatest and I’m here to learn all I can. I’m a sport, music, and movie fanatic.

  Hi, I’m Maria Collis (she/her), and I have co-written 6 screenplays, one of which was produced; another we’re hoping to produce in the next year or so. I’ve written short stories and a couple plays, but I’ve never written a screenplay solo. I’m taking this course to give my self some structure in which to work (read: a kick in the ass), because otherwise everything–including laundry–takes precedence over my writing. I naturally gravitate towards profound stories, and I loved what Hal had to say. I thought this would be a great place to get to the next level in my work. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

  Hi, my name is Kathleen Gamble. I usually write Christian Plays here in the St. Louis area, but recently began writing screenplays with a message and thought this would be the right course for me. I am in the process of writing a screenplay that can deeply touch and change lives, but I want to go deeper and make it PROFOUND.

  Hi! My name is Mike Peed. I’ve written 5 screenplays, working on number 6. I’m taking this class because the last two that I’ve been working need to have that profound change, and don’t. Yet. 😁
