First 10 Pages

I was boxed in and couldn't see how to fix my opening. It wasn't working, but I was afraid to let go. Even if you want to cling to what you got, just do the assignments--they are real eye-openers. I'm happy to say I have a much better opener and a better chance at getting producers/studio readers/agents/etc to read past page 1, 3, 10 and beyond.

WOW! This course exceeded my expectations. What could be complex concepts were made easy to understand and the examples provided illustrated the lessons so well. I know my next script will be much stronger with an attention-grabbing first ten pages thanks to this class. Thank you, Hal and Cheryl!

All Hal's classes are great! Every novelist would produce better fiction if it included Hal's screenwriting techniques.

The First Ten Pages Class helped me out of several structural and writing situations. The class helped me push the limits of my character introduction while adding page turning intrigue. I will look back to these learnings for every script to ensure I start my script with a bang. Thank you for this course.
