Mastering the Thriller Genre

This course showed you a way through the difficulties in managing a complex thriller. Beginning with the conventions and then how to confront each necessary piece of the puzzle. The real world examples from Basic Instinct gave a masters example of how they navigated these rough waters. I have tried for years to understand the demands of a high quality thriller and Hal and Company cracked the code.

I liked this class. I think like Delia it is my favorite and I intend to use the strategy to build my stories from now on with these steps in mind. My only regret is I think I didn't know how to engage with other students. I asked for exchanges and got no replies. I think I didn't know how to use the site.

I was doing 94% of this stuff already but in a more time-intensive path of crafting things over and over. This gave a framework to more quickly and clearly do what I was doing by a roundabout path on my own.
