Jeffrey Alan Chase’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment is I didn’t like 90+% of my previous titles I came up with or the titles generated by AI. I felt like they were place holder quality. After some serious thought, I came up with all my episode titles based either on the major conflict in the episode or the new direction of the episode. Pretty cool exercise.
Old titles:
Episode 1: “Divine Encounter”
Episode 2: “Guiding Light”
Episode 3: “Healing Touch”
Episode 4: “Unholy Pursuit”
Episode 5: “Sins of the Past”
Episode 6: “Faith Tested”
Episode 7: “Divine Intervention”
Episode 8: “Final Revelation”
New titles:
Episode 1: “Just by Chance?”
Episode 2: “It’s Not My Bag”
Episode 3: “The Power of Words”
Episode 4: “Wholly Unholy Pursuit”
Episode 5: “Friend or Fiend?”
Episode 6: “Faith Matters”
Episode 7: “Test of Truth”
Episode 8: “Final Revelation”

Module 2 – Lesson 10: Riveting Episode Titles
Sylvia’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment is this was a fun exercise. I liked the original titles and this made them stronger. I need to go back to the episodes and clean more up. The titles gave new condensed insight.
1. Do a quick brainstorm session for each of your episodes and seasons. Use the Title Formats to do it.
2. Select the titles that stand out, but be open to even better ideas in the future.
3. Sequence the titles so you can see what story they tell. Replace any titles that create genre confusion.
**Episode 1: “Unveiling Secrets”**
**Episode 2: “Whispers in the Ward”**
**Episode 3: “Healing Hearts, Haunting Shadows”**
**Episode 4: “A Mother’s Dilemma”**
**Episode 5: “Blood Ties to the Rescue”**
**Episode 6: “Hearts Back in Distress”**
**Episode 7: “The Web Unravels Possibilities”**
**Episode 8: “Collateral Damage Finds it’s Savior”**

Speaking of titles, I registered the first complete pitch bible of my show with the copyright office under the working title. Future drafts will be under an improved title, so I will have a “working title” line on the title page to prevent confusion.

Barbe’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment is there’s always room for improvement!
I liked all of my episode titles – except one. All the other titles told a story and were quite intriguing. Episode 6 was originally titled STARBOUND HEIR. I liked both of those words – evocative on their own, but together they didn’t make much sense.
I took the title through the process and focused on the “discovery” that was the theme of the episode. I came up with a number of alternatives (COSTLY REVELATIONS / DEADLY REVELATIONS / THE COST OF THE TRUTH, etc.)
I got stuck after a while and turned it over to Chat. From the 10 titles generated I chose ARTIFACTS OF FATE which captures the spirit of the episode very well – tying in both the assembling and deciphering of the artifact and the piecing together of A’Lyx’s true identity and destiny.

Pat’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment is work through the uncertainty and tamp down the impulse to perfection. This course is kicking my butt. I had to go back to my notes time and again to keep the first season straight in my head as opposed to a 5 year arc. This is a lot of information to juggle. I only have the first year broken down into episodes.
Series Title – A Devil’s Bargain
Season 1 The Enemy Without
Episode 1 Murder by proxy
Episode 2 Uneasy Allies
Episode 3 Secrets and Lies
Episode 4 Layers of Deceit
Episode 5 Unholy Origins
Episode 6 New Treacheries
Episode 7 On the Edge of Bedlam
Episode 8 Bringing down the Architects of Corruption
Season 2 – The Enemy Within
Season 3 – The Enemy of my Enemy
Season 4 – Enemy of the State
Season 5 – Routing the Enemy

Jenn’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment: I want each title to do multiple things (which maybe a good or bad thing?) namely, play on some computer or online concept while also giving the flavor of the main conflict for the episode. I will run these by other people, but so far this is what I’ve got.
Episode 1: Down The Digital Rabbit Hole
Episode 2: The Antisocial Network
Episode 3: The Doxxer Rebellion
Episode 4: Frenemy Request
Episode 5: Don’t Deplatform The Messenger
Episode 6: Ghost in the MMO
Episode 7: The Phisher King
Episode 8 (Season Finale): Zero-Day Break
~ end

Gayla’s Episode Titles
What I learned doing this assignment is that it can be fun generating titles. I tried coming up with my own prompt for AI, and the titles were very repetitive.
