JP Serra’s TV Pitch Bible Investigation
What I learned doing this assignment is that even if we like our show as it is, it doesn’t mean it can’t get better.
The 3 places where I thought my show needed some work was:
– Urnek’s character
– Carmela’s character
– Season finale
For Urnek’s character, I asked myself “What’s beneath that” and I found an interesting new layer. Since Urnek is my simple-minded barbarian character, I kept thinking of him as being shallow. But he doesn’t need to be. So now, even though he is aware of his intellectual limitations, he secretly aspires to be Battle Chief. All of a sudden, Urnek becomes a much more complex character.
For Carmela’s character, I asked myself “What if Carmela had a sister who’s even more evil and powerful than she is?” So I created a new character: Noctura, the Night Witch.
For my season finale, I asked myself “What if this conspiracy is part of a bigger conspiracy?”. I found out that involving one more person in the conspiracy with Carmela will be the ultimate surprise during the season finale!

Marie’s TV Pitch Bible Investigation
What I learned doing this assignment was to follow Hal’s instruction by the book and it was a breakthrough for me as I found a total new depth in my story. I also learned that by formulating my question for AI was actually helping me to find the answer even before presenting it to AI.
I added layers to each of my characters and changed one of the connected characters into a main one. I added more cliffhangers and a twist.
The parts I changed:
I changed my main character Emily from refusing love to being a true romantic.
I changed her from being entangled unwillingly in a bank robbery to being the mastermind of the robbery.
I added two characters: Her aunt who is the leader of the reformer’s mouvement.
I added a new suitor before Charles, an informant for the police who courts her and I gave a pre-story to Charles being an informer as well.
I changed the way Charles’s brothers ransom is paid and created a new plot around the kidnappers who become accused of the robbery.
I believe I really elevated my story. Thanks Hall!

The plot outline you’ve provided seems to focus on the journey of Harry, a character with a liberal outlook on religion, as he encounters various conflicts and challenges related to religious beliefs and personal relationships. Here’s a breakdown of each element:
-
Introduction to characters: The introduction sets the stage by introducing Harry, who is initially in India for an arti ceremony but later travels to the USA where he meets John and is introduced to Aaron and Kim.
-
Establish relationship: Harry forms a close relationship with Asylum, who suffers from a psychological disorder but is highly intelligent. Despite their differences, Harry respects Asylum’s beliefs and enjoys learning about various religions.
-
Conflict emerges: The conflict arises when Asylum, who is a devout Hindu, discovers that Harry has converted to Islam during his travels and refuses to marry her. This creates tension between them due to their differing religious beliefs.
-
Personal growth: Harry’s journey to Iran and his attempts to distance himself from Asylum indicate a period of personal growth and self-discovery for him. He also learns more about Muslim laws and faces consequences for his past engagement.
-
Challenges and trials: The challenges Harry faces include conflicts over religion, particularly with Asylum and John. These conflicts escalate during lessons on Christianity, but ultimately Aaron remains neutral while expressing confidence in his own religion.
-
Climax: The climax occurs when Harry’s friendship with Asylum and his gratitude towards her drive a wedge between John and him. This sets the stage for the resolution.
Resolution: The resolution involves Harry attempting to reconcile with Asylum and mend his relationship with John by emphasizing the universal brotherhood of humanity and transcending religious differences.
Overall, the plot seems to explore themes of religious tolerance, personal growth, and the complexities of interpersonal relationships. It also touches upon the idea of finding common ground and understanding amidst diversity. However, there are some areas where the plot could be further developed or clarified, such as the motivations behind Harry’s conversion to Islam and the depth of his relationships with Asylum, John, and Aaron.
