The Beauty Industry is a powerful business with significant influence and resources causing widespread ecological harm in pursuit of profit. The Rebellion is against the Beauty Industry’s detrimental environmental practices.

  Second Mystery: Impact of Beauty Industry’s synthetic compounds on wildlife. What is the true extent and nature of the Beauty Industry’s influence and plans regarding environmental destruction?

  Season 1 Arc: From SKYY LAR’S injury, discovered by EMMA who constructs a prosthetic leg, to the sparking birds and human alliance against the Beauty Industry’s environmental destruction.

Marie’s big picture Components

What I learned doing this assignment is first to watch the 5 passes of the opening of a TV series (I picked 3 body problem) and it was very good to only focus on something per pass. I enjoyed the process because it made my objectives very clear for my own opening.

For this assignment, I learned to clarify the essence of the pilot.

World: A world (from 1819 on) where women are fighting for men’s rights and for themselves (before even the birth of feminism).

Main Mystery: Who robbed the bank?

Impossible goal: To stop her husband entreprises while pretending to help him.

Main conflict: Protecting the identity of the robbers and the loot of the robbery.

Second mystery: how Charles and Emily will be able to live together after betraying each other and how Emily will prevent him to reach New Zealand?

Season 1 arc: from being a Jane Austen type of daughter to be married, to become the brain organizing a future colony.

Season 1 protagonist internal journey: from hiding her true nature to showing her true potential.

Pilot info:

Pilot conflict: A bank robbery in London remains unsolved. Detectives, informants, smugglers are on the hunt.

Character introduced: Emily, her aunt (reform leader), Margaret, her former governess/robber, Charles, her music teacher/police informant, Joseph, her suitor/smuggler, and a detective.

Inciting incident of season 1: Emily and Joseph are getting married when right on the altar steps, Joseph vanishes.

What I learned doing this assignment was how doing these steps makes the series become clearer and more focused in my head. I am beginning to see the entire series.

Series Information:

World: The challenging world of news reporting forces Lily to travel into the 4th Dimension to solve the mystery of where the people disappeared.

Main Mystery: Where did the light bodies go and what made them turn into light?

Impossible Goal: Discover the truth about the disappearances without turning into light herself.

Main Conflict: Madam Rosa and her coven trick Rivina and Lily into traveling into the 4th Dimension where they must destroy the Soul Eater.

Second Mystery: Can Lily and Rivina escape from the 4th Dimension and get home in the 3rd.

Season 1 Arc: Watching people turn into light and disappear, to discovering how and why but getting trapped in the light themselves and ending up in the 4th Dimension too.

Season 1 Protagonist Internal Journey: From a Skeptic Reporter to a Believing Explorer who is determined to get to the bottom of the disappearances.

Pilot Information:

Pilot Conflict: Lily and Rivina witness people turning into light and research the mystery until they turn into light too.

Main Characters Introduced: Lily, Rivina, Madam Rosa, Janet, Phil, Eric and Raymond

Inciting Incident of Season 1: Lily and Rivina must discover what and who is causing the light transformations.
