hi Cheryl, don’t know if you’ll get this. it looks like they, zendesk?, has part of week 4 listed in week 3 and things are all confused. i sure miss Dimitri and when we had problems and questions we got them answered by a human who knew screenwriting.

(I’ll post my homework of Day 1 when the proper discussion will be open.)
Meantime, here’s what I learned/ insights/ breakthroughs:
It’s incredible how a trailer can be clear in terms of the characters’ journey different steps.
I realised that even if my lead character’s journey was super clear, the 2nd main character didn’t have such a precise journey. Will need to work on it.

Bob Kerr:
I share Mi Lock’s statement. When the correct discussion form is made available, I will post my feedback, insights and break throughs.
What I learned in the trailer presentation is the character and scene structure presents itself very well. As I look at my script, there are several key points that I have not developed enough.
The breakthrough is that it is small details that enhances drama, conflict and transformation. I’m eager to apply these to my script.
I have managed to get the next two video lessons viewed as well and just waiting for the discussion forums to open.

RE the Vinny clip and exercise:
I am thinking of rewriting my character to contrast with an opposite type, but her “weakness” actually becomes her strength, like Vinny’s girlfriend, in car repair, becomes an expert witness.
Great for humor in my RomCom.

Anyone get any joy from the Forum ? I had to take a break due to other committments, but now I’m back to complete the course and I see week 4 is completely disappeared.
Anyone here? Has everyone left?
I hope you’re all really well and look forward to hearing from someone…anyone…hello?
