What I learned from doing this process…..is the Pitch Bible must go through many, many drafts and each time it does, it gets incrementally better. I still need to work more on Characters, Episodes and Seasons but Concept, Unique World and Summary are all very polished. When creating the best sentence or paragraph you can, it gives a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.
The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter – ’tis the difference between the lightning-bug and the lightning.

What I learned from this assignment is less is more. I learned to eliminate unneeded words and sentences can create clarity and a quick read. I put myself into a producer role reading it for the first time to see if I get the concept in one page. Using Lesson 11 techniques on consistency and compiling content can form a more polished sales tool for my series. While editing the pitch bible I’ve realized certain aspects should be amplified to create more Intrigue while editing parts that are repetitive or fluff that is not needed. It is still a work in progress.

Phyllis’ Edited Pitch Bible
I learned from this assignment that the editing process makes the pitch bible stronger with every pass. Removing the repetition of ideas, making the summary and episodes clear, and making the concise sentences flow were all helpful in getting me to this stage.

Bob’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned doing this assignment was to tighten the pitch bible and to modify it and the BW framework as needed throughout the process. The TV pitch bible will continue to undergo changes as it moves forward.

Marcus’ Edited TV Pitch Bible
This lesson gave me a structured, step-by-step way to edit without missing anything. Instead of going through the text and doing general editing, it makes sense to focus on one aspect of editing, get that completed, then move on.

Kim’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned from the assignment is that I struggle with pinpointing the essential parts of each episode and want to squeeze in every detail, so this has been a lesson in frugality for me.

Diana’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned: This made
my TV pitch bible so much better. I cleaned up the formatting. Removed fluff
and cliches. Found holes and contradictions and fixed them. And added some
additional layers and open loops. I’d love to exchange with someone to get some
feedback soon. -
Marie’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned doing this assignment is to elevate and improve my TV Pitch Bible by following the steps recomended steps, one after the other, methodically, steadily…simplify, trim, recentre and keep the BW frame up to date as well.
