Megan’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned doing this assignment is…that detailed doesn’t have to mean verbose. Ultimately, my TV Pitch Bible should be clear, quick, and compelling.
After the last lesson on titles, however, I ended up creating brief episode descriptions with each title for all 5 seasons, not just Season 1, giving me a much better idea of the overall story arc but adding another few pages in length.
For this lesson, I went back over my TV Pitch Bible and noticed my main problem is length. With each pass, I found myself asking, What else can I cut? Several passes later, I’m still at 14 pages.
If anyone would like to swap pitch bibles and provide feedback, I’d be happy to participate!

What we learned doing this assignment is to make this so clear and concise but also looking through the lens of making each line intriguing made us really edit most lines and we were able to cut many lines that weren’t interesting or just fluff. This elevated the entire bible.

Sharilyn’s Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I learned from doing this is assignment is…I can’t keep re-reading my sh*% thinking I’ll “see” something different. I need a break!
I don’t have all of these concepts down and I’m feeling overwhelmed; like even if there is more to mine from my framework and past lessons, I can’t dig it out because my toolkit is running low. I need to relax to replenish, then review.

Toms’ Edited TV Pitch Bible
What I took away from this lesson is to carefully consider the audience that hope will read this story bible. What might they get hung up on? What makes sense to only me because I intimately know these characters, but might not be obvious to someone else? How can I make this easy and fun to read? I also made future notes, and have intention of coming back and doing another pass on the story bible after the pilot is written when I have a more firm grasp on the tone and pacing of the series.
