Subject line: Dawn’s Unique Action!
“What I learned doing this assignment is be open to possibilities of changes.
1. Looking at your entire story, what is unique about each of these places:
· Environment: Unknown government agency working autonomously.
· Rules: Superiors are unknown to each other. Superiors are only known to their teams.
· Villain: Breaks rules and goes after a fellow superior.
· Mission: Uncover what happened to her family Her father was a superior in this unknown agency.
· Struggle: The need to find secrets that don’t technically exist.
· Unique Skillset: Ability to manipulate blood enzyme and produce superhuman strength/speed/hearing etc.
· Meaning: No secret stays a secret forever.
· Allies: AC and his superior, elderly couple
· Weapon: Hero’s own body, guns, night vision
2. Brainstorm ways to make one or more of those places unique:
What
if…? hero is trying to keep her family secret? enhancement spread among the
population enhancing some and harming others? her family’s demise had only
been secret to the hero but ordered by the agency? she can inject the
enzyme into AC giving him superhuman powers?
Take
to an extreme. agency in space; It is a family agency, and the hero must
take her place amongst her murderous family heritage; Hero’s own existence
is unknown to anyone.
Specific
to character or environment. Hero is alien placed on earth who refused to
go home so they’re coming for her. Blood enzyme affected by environment
and/or controlled by superior.
Shocking
or Surprising. Superiors are brothers. Her family was destroyed upon her
own father’s command. elderly couple betrays hero
Go
opposite. Superiors are childhood friends. the villain is really the hero.
Superior is outed in front of entire agency and immediately eliminated. Enzyme
designed to block hero’s naturally occurring superpowers.
What
haven’t we seen? The villain is really the long-lost father hero has been
searching for but neither realizes it until hero kills villain.5. Tell us about the improvements that you have made. Introduction of sci-fi element could work well.

This lesson poses an important challenge to me as a writer. While most of the uniqueness criteria are basically met, I feel I have work to do on the unique skillset and unique weapon for my protagonist. More to come, as I ponder this further!

Kay’s Unique Action!
What I learned doing this assignment is this is a series not just one film.”
What is unique about each of these places:
<div>
Environment:
senior home & city highrise
Rules: Money
is important. Human life expendable
Villain: Mac
Janssen, owner of fentanyl manufacturing corporation
</div><div>Mission: close
down fentanyl production
Struggle: frail
seniors against huge business</div><div>
Unique
Skillset: mental capacity!Meaning: Make
life worth livingAllies: Beauty
van, memories & past experiencesWeapon: magic
hair cut for physical ability, mental prowess</div>
2. Brainstorm ways to make one or more of those places unique:
<div>
A. What if
Mac poisons every visitor</div><div>B. Take to
an extreme the team of frail elders would temporarily be subdued by poison,
but because of their past experience in the 60s & 70s with drugs they
would quickly recover.C.
Specific to character or environment. Seniors are physically frail &
Mac & his corporation seem very very physically strongD.
Shocking or Surprising. Mental abilities are superior to physicalE. Go opposite.
Each person on team has special ability/power that others did not realize
in beginningF. What
haven’t we seen? More of backstories will come in future films</div>
