Lesson 14. Kay’s Great Action Set Piece!
What I learned doing this assignment is there is always new research & news to add to story line”
1. Build in the meaning.
Pre-Action: Senior center on 18<sup>th</sup> St., SF. A couple blocks from Mission High & Dolores Park. A few short blocks to Castro district. In community room, seniors pursue individual hobbies or play chess. Lots of topical discussions. Background music: Tupac
Action: Sad news about Juan, a popular volunteer, accidental overdose.
Post-Action: Each senior begins personal & group research (phones, laptop, newspapers, library websites, census websites) on fentanyl epidemic, discussions & developing an action board in their community room.

Seniors after haircuts able to perform active, strong ju jit su.
Seniors use voice, storytelling , hypnotism to create hallucinations
Create through the 9 Action Emotions.
1. Shock, sadness over Juan’s sudden death
2. Eager to share research
3. Excited with extreme research skills & sharing information
4. Surprise at ability to perform active, strong ju jit su.
5. Shocking memories of various events & hallucinations (Vietnam, sit ins, riots, assassinations, Emmett Till, gun violence)
6. Eager to fight with ju jit su
7. Overwhelmed by depth of fentanyl crisis and challenges
8. Depressed by narcissism of business leaders
9. Mentally active despite physical frailty
