Phyllis’ Character Descriptions
I learned from this assignment that all the work I had done in Module 1 could be laid out for character descriptions. The step-by-step technique really worked for me.
SASHA
Role: A by-the-book EPA investigator fired for political reasons will do whatever it takes to make a significant difference in fighting climate change.
Noteworthy Traits: Pragmatic. Skeptical. Manipulative.
Intriguing History: her relationship with her father, who has just turned up.
Intrigue? Willing to pretend to believe in Duncan’s delusions and track creatures until she secures the funding for a foundation he promised. Will she betray Duncan if he’s putting innocents at risk for his goal?
Mystery? Why is she estranged from her father?
Drive Conflict: At odds with Duncan over how they investigate the existence of these creatures. Wanting revenge against Delia for having her fired.
Irony: Her core investigative skills will lead her to find evidence that Duncan’s creatures are real.
Opposing Agendas: She wants to prolong the search for creatures because if Duncan realizes he’s delusional, she won’t get her foundation. She wants to protect Duncan from himself.
Unpredictable? Suspicious of others’ motives, she relies on herself and that can get her into trouble.
Intriguing relationships: Duncan, Delia, and her father.
START: A play-by-the-rules EPA investigator, fired for political reasons and thus unemployable in her field, will do whatever it takes to get back into the fight against climate change.
MIDDLE: Traits. Duncan recruits her. Willing to indulge him in his delusions until she gains funding for an environmental foundation. Will she be able to protect him from himself and from hurting innocent bystanders? And will she betray him if the welfare of others is involved?
ENDING: Her core investigative skills will lead her eventually to discover that Duncan’s creatures are real.
SASHA CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
A pragmatic, play-by-the-rules EPA investigator, is betrayed and then fired for political reasons. Now unemployable, she’ll do whatever it takes to get back into the fight against climate change. But that dream will require her to turn her skeptical nature inside out. Or at least pretend to. She’s not above manipulating others to achieve her goals.
When a billionaire environmental activist hires her, she’s thrilled. Until she finds out he’s delusional, and the job is tracking creatures spawned by today’s level of greenhouse gases. To entice her to stay, he offers to fund her own foundation, if she sticks around for three years. She’s willing to humor him, but at what cost, putting innocent bystanders at risk? She’ll enter a world she never imagined when her core investigative skills lead her to discover that Duncan’s creatures are real.
DUNCAN
Role: The black sheep member of a family that owns a major oil company wants to redeem himself by saving the planet, and for him, that means slaying the creatures spawned by climate change.
Noteworthy Traits: Impetuous. Idealistic. Irresponsible.
Intriguing history: he used to enjoy being a playboy and the sports liaison for the family company. He was hospitalized for a breakdown after the death of his daughter.
Intrigue? He feels responsible for the death of his daughter. Is he delusional or are his creatures real?
Mystery? What happened to his daughter?
Drive conflict: His insistence that the creatures are real, without proof, goes against Sasha’s worldview. He wants his sister Delia to reduce greenhouse gases at the family oil company, conflicting with Delia’s pursuit of profit.
Irony: Duncan wants to save the world but he can’t even save himself from his guilt.
Opposing Agendas: Duncan is headstrong about searching for these creatures his way, always optimistic he’ll find the right path. If Duncan can find some way to force his family company to become sustainable, he’ll do it.
Unpredictable? He’s headstrong, leaping before he looks, and that can threaten innocent bystanders.
Intriguing Relationships: Sasha, Delia and his climate change predicting entrepreneur friend.
START: The black sheep member of a family that owns a major oil company wants to redeem himself by saving the planet, and for him, that means slaying the creatures spawned by climate change.
MIDDLE: Traits. Has no practical skills and chooses Sasha to fill in those gaps. Found her because his sister, CEO of the family company, is the one who got her fired. He desperately wants to atone for the sins of his family, who have been pouring greenhouse gases into the atmosphere for over a hundred years. Believes he is irredeemable because he feels responsible for the death of his daughter.
ENDING: Sasha is the answer to making him feel worthy of being redeemed.
DUNCAN CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
The black sheep member of a family that owns a major oil company is desperate to atone for their pouring greenhouse gases into the atmosphere for over a century. For him, that means slaying the creatures spawned by the build-up of those gases. Idealistic and impetuous, without a practical bone in his body, he needs a polar opposite to make tracking creatures feasible.
He finds the perfect person in the EPA investigator that his sister, the CEO of the family company, arranged to have fired. He is willing to do anything to succeed, with all his contacts and tech toys, even risk collateral damage along the way. His deeper need for redemption stems from feeling responsible for the death of his teenaged daughter during an extreme hurricane. Because he feels irredeemable, he’ll push farther and harder to alleviate that wound. Surprisingly, Sasha will be the key to his internal struggle as much as his external one.
DELIA
Role: Duncan’s sister, the CEO of their family oil company, who pays lip service to sustainability when she’s all about profits.
Noteworthy Traits: Smooth. Ruthless. Competitive.
Intriguing history: She suppressed reports about greenhouse gases causing climate change thirty years ago.
Intrigue? Her power marriage (to a woman) is falling apart. She plans to have Duncan declared incompetent and take control of his trust fund.
Mystery? Was she groomed to take over the family company or did she have to fight for it?
Drive conflict: She wants to stop Duncan from funding climate science, scientists and politicians who oppose climate change. She is responsible for having Sasha fired from the EPA.
Irony: She presents herself as a proponent of sustainability, but she’s all about making profits.
Opposing Agendas: She wants her family oil company to continue conducting business as usual.
Unpredictable: She doesn’t get mad, she gets even. She’s willing to pivot quickly if a scheme isn’t working.
Intriguing Relationships: Duncan, Sasha, and Duncan’s ex-wife who is her sustainability chief at the family oil company.
START: Duncan’s sister, the CEO of the family oil company, presents herself as forward-thinking and in favor of sustainability, but she’s all about profits.
MIDDLE: Traits. Craves respect, because all her life her family and colleagues have underestimated her. Furious that Duncan is funding climate science and the politicians that support it, she wants to stop him by declaring him incompetent and seizing control of his trust fund.
ENDING: To maintain her company’s financial health, she will go to any extremes, including offering to fund Sasha’s foundation herself, if she betrays Duncan and testifies that he’s delusional. The surprising part is that she may have reason to believe his delusions.
DELIA CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Duncan’s sister, the CEO of the family oil company, presents herself as forward-thinking and in favor of sustainability, but she’s all about profits. Ruthless and competitive on the surface, deep down she craves respect because her family and colleagues underestimated her for years. Her brother in particular galls her because he funds climate science and like-minded politicians, which she views as a violation of family loyalty.
To maintain her company’s financial health, she will go to any extremes, including getting Duncan declared incompetent so she can seize control of his trust fund and shut him down. She will also offer to fund Sasha’s foundation to persuade her to betray Duncan and testify that he’s delusional. The surprising part is that she may already know his delusions are real.

Character: Verna Williams
Role: The “most” unlikely candidate getting a chance to compete for a lucrative job.
Noteworthy traits: Clever. Resourceful. Paranoid.
Intriguing History: Owes 50K to a loan shark.
Intrigue: Experience as a lock-smith will be a great temptation to open off-limits rooms.
Mystery: What is the disturbing reason she needs a liver transplant?
Drive Conflict: Confronting other candidates and breaking rules.
Irony: Lost her job as a “Safety Instructor” by leaving her car in neutral and it rolled into traffic.
Intriguing Relationships: Ira Rameriz
An unemployed, middle-aged woman facing foreclosure needs a liver transplant to survive. What she lacks in formal education is made-up in “street smarts”. Clever, resourceful but suffering from paranoia, she is one of thirteen candidates competing for a corporate job. If Verna doesn’t get the job, her family will be homeless and she can’t afford the operation. She is compelled to do anything and everything to win the job against a dozen other hungry candidates!

Bob’s Character Descriptions
What I learned doing this assignment is that each character needs to be the hero of his own story.
Daniel Shay
Role in Show: Main protagonist, Mossad agent
Noteworthy Traits: High IQ, graduate of elite IDF training program, Krav Maga expert
Intriguing History: Daniel was thirteen and celebrating his Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall in Jerusalem when his parents were murdered in a terrorist attack
Intrigue? Mystery? For all appearances, Daniel is a stellar agent. However, he has suppressed his anger and guilt over his parents’ murders while obtaining elite skills and positioning himself where he can ultimately avenge their deaths.
How do they support or drive the conflict with others: Daniel has direct and physical conflict with terrorists, his agenda and methods cause conflict with his superiors, his inability to love and form attachments after the murder of his parents causes conflicts with the women he encounters. His abandonment of a belief in God causes conflicts with his grandparents and rabbi/therapist.
Irony – Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: Daniel is outwardly working toward peace wherein his ultimate goal is violence against those who killed his parents. He is outwardly in control of himself but battles demons within himself.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally cause conflict with other characters: On the surface Daniel opposes terrorists who are trying to inflict physical harm. Daniel comes into conflict with his superiors over agendas/methods.
Unpredictable?: Daniel’s underlying anger, guilt, and PTSD can cause him to have violent outbursts or other episodic issues.
Intriguing relationship with one or more characters: Daniel first engages with Christina Wade when she appears as a sex worker to gain access to him. This relationship develops as she attempts to manipulate him to assist her with the Temple restoration agenda. There is sex, betrayal, mistrust, and perhaps ultimately a hint of love.
START: An orphaned American ex-patriot becomes an elite Mossad agent after his parents are murdered by terrorists. His hidden agenda – to avenge his parents’ murders.
MIDDLE: Thwarts terrorist plots. Willing to take risks with terrorists to learn more about his parents’ murderers. Learns plotters of his parents’ murders are now politically connected. Befriends woman who wishes to destroy the Dome of the Rock as part of an “End of Days” agenda. Becomes more unstable and takes more risks. Will he be shut down by his superiors?
END: Plots the destruction of the Dome of the Rock but will he go through with it?
An American boy is orphaned at thirteen when his parents are murdered by terrorists during his Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Racked with anger and guilt, he goes to live with his grandparents in Israel. Obsessed with the need to avenge his parents’ murders, he enters a select IDF training program and becomes an elite Mossad agent. He is brilliant, physically capable, and amongst the best in the agency. No one besides his rabbi/therapist knows, however, that his goal is vengeance.
When he learns that the leader of the terrorist attack that killed his parents is now a member of the Israeli Knesset, his agenda is stalled due to politics. Assuming the terrorist hasn’t changed his stripes, he takes risk to expose the former terrorist as a double agent and simultaneously plots with a group seeking to destroy the Dome of the Rock in order to avenge his parents’ murders by bringing down everything the terrorists hope to accomplish.
Alternate Draft
DANIEL
Brilliant, skilled in martial arts, trained in espionage, Daniel suffers from the trauma of having his parents murdered in front of him during a terrorist attack in Jerusalem when he was thirteen. Obsessed with discovering the planners of the attack that killed his parents, Daniel channels his anger into becoming the best intelligence agent in Israel and getting himself in a position to search for the perpetrators.
Now that he positioned himself, Daniel’s delayed anger, guilt, and PTSD have come to the surface. While he tries to hide these feelings and events, they make it harder for him to have healthy relationships and impact his day-to-day life. His isolation, even when with people, and abandonment of God and any good in people, make him receptive to plans that others may seem as extreme.
Christina Wade
Role in Show: Religious fanatic who tries to manipulate Daniel to assist with her agenda
Noteworthy Traits: Religious zealot, sensual, low self-esteem
Intriguing History: Abandoned by her husband when she “found religion.”
Intrigue? Mystery? Does she really believe in the fanaticism she professes or is she using it to make herself feel useful, needed, valulable?
How do they support or drive the conflict with others: Christina connects with Daniel sexually in an attempt to manipulate him to help her destroy the Dome of the Rock. She drives his actions and uses his trauma to influence his behavior.
Irony – Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: While a self-professed Christian, she will break any commandment to forward her agenda, including murder.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally cause conflict with other characters: Her relationship with Daniel causes conflicts with his superiors and other women in Daniel’s life.
Unpredictable?: Will her relationship with Daniel cause her to change her views.
Intriguing relationship with one or more characters: She comes to Daniel as a sex worker to gain access to him. This relationship develops as she attempts to manipulate him to assist her with the Temple restoration agenda. There is sex, betrayal, mistrust, and perhaps ultimately a hint of love.
START: A religious fanatic who was abandoned by her spouse and is bent on the destruction of the Dome of the Rock attempts to manipulate a Mossad agent to secure his assistance.
MIDDLE: Willing to use sex and other methods to manipulate Daniel. Will Daniel be swayed? Will this make her feel good about herself and alter the feelings she had when her husband abandoned her?
END: Believes she has Daniel convinced to destroy the Dome of the Rock but as her feelings for him develop, she is not sure this is the best thing for him?
An American woman with low self-esteem desperately wants to feel good about herself and be valued. When she embraces religion and joins a group that believes the Jewish Temple must be rebuilt on the site of the Dome of the Rock in order to fulfill Biblical prophesies, she is abandoned by her husband.
Tasked by her religious group to assist with the process of fulfillment of the prophesies, she goes to Israel and gets close to Daniel to move the group’s agenda along.
Alternate Draft
CHRISTINA
Christina comes from a home where women were not considered as important as men and her low self-esteem and need to see her worth through men are the result of this upbringing. Being married to an older-father figure didn’t alleviate these issues. For a reason that is initially mysterious, she is drawn to a cultish-type religious group advocating the restoration of the Jewish Temple on the site currently occupied by the Dome of the Rock. When she joins the group, she experiences further abandonment when her husband leaves her.
When the group asks Christina to take a more active role, she goes to Israel where she meets Daniel and begins a relationship with him. At first, the relationship is based on the need to use each other. Remarkably, Christina may be helping Daniel deal with his underlying problems and she may be falling in love with him.
Najeh Tamra
Role in Show: Main antagonist, terrorist responsible for Daniel’s parents’ murders, now a respected politician
Noteworthy Traits: Good at double speak, religious, discreet, charismatic
Intriguing History: Plotted the attack that killed Daniel’s parents, entered politics later as a way to secretly assist the terrorist movement
Intrigue? Mystery? Najeh went under a different name when planning terrorists’ attacks. His history is cloudy and, in part, recreated to support his political career.
How do they support or drive the conflict with others: He is a double agent providing information to the same terrorists groups he had been affiliated with. He will directly face off against Daniel once Daniel finds out he is a double agent.
Irony – Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: Najeh is a terrorist pretending to be a peace advocate.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally cause conflict with other characters: His politics conflict with other views.
Unpredictable?: When threatened he can react violently.
Intriguing relationship with one or more characters: He has a relationship with Daniel’s superiors through his political connections.
START: A former terrorist establishes himself as a respectable politician and wins a seat in the Israeli Knesset. His purpose though is to funnel information and money to further the terrorist agenda.
MIDDLE: Takes risks to provide information to terrorist. Is confronted by Daniel but his cover is not blown. Will he be discovered for what he is?
END: Is setup by Daniel to take the fall for the destruction of the Dome of the Rock?
Terrorist as a young man who plots an attack that kills Daniel’s parents. At an older age, his identity is changed and he becomes a political player in Israel. Still true to the cause, he uses his position to provide information and money to the terrorist camps.
He is suspected of covert activities by Daniel without sufficient evidence to support an accusation. He spars with Daniel and is eventually set up to be the fall guy of what looks to be a terrorist attack but is not.
Alternate Draft
NAJEH
Charismatic and hard-working, Najeh was raised to hate Israel and entered the world of terrorism. In his early late twenties, he planned the terrorist attack in Jerusalem that killed Daniel’s parents. Fifteen years later, he has reinvented himself, moved to Israel proper, and entered into Israeli politics. Well-funded by enemy nations, he wins a seat in the Knesset.
He is forced to act reasonably and control his hatred in order to effectively funnel information and money to terrorist groups and foreign governments. He is a bit paranoid about being discovered and can act out violently if threatened.

Kim’s Character Descriptions
What I learned doing this assignment is how to brainstorm my characters ahead of time. Again, I’m a total “pantser.” This was not easy. 🙂
• Who is the character? Role in the show? ERIC His wounded soul is based on past lives filled with people carrying out difficult duties for him, tending to his every whim, and not allowing him to fully mature and develop into a strong male figure capable of taking care of himself and a family.
• Noteworthy traits: He hides his other personalities. Self-medicates both with prescription drugs and alcohol. He is scared of the control his ex-wife has over him.
• Intriguing history: All through his past lives he has an overbearing woman telling him what to do and how to do it. He both fights this infringement on his boundaries and welcomes it. He resents not being trusted enough to have the skill and intelligence to solve his own problems, but he also lacks problem-solving skills, in part because he’s always being told what to do and second guesses his own instincts. He married a woman who was like his mother, condescending and making him feel less like a man. He married Danielle because she was “comfortable” to him, he was used to being told what to do and how to do it. But bitterness eventually crept in. When he met Natalie, there was a different type of “comfortableness.” A familiarity (based on their past lives) emerged, and he began an intense affair with her, even though she was his patient and under his care at the time. But she looked up to him, and saw him differently than his wife did. And that was alluring.
• Intrigue? Mystery? He suffers from the same issues Natalie does, but is better at hiding it from the world, including from the therapist they sometimes see together. Even Natalie doesn’t know his problem at the start of the show.
• How do they support or drive the conflict with others? He wants to make everything appear “normal,” even as Natalie is trying to explore why they are having so many issues in their lives and their relationship with one another. He also feels an unexplainable pull towards Krystal, even though she threatens the relationship he has with Natalie.
• Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: He is a psychiatrist, understands psychology, but can’t understand himself
• Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters: His indecision, his ability to put a problem on a back-burner and disengage with it
• Unpredictable? If Eric feels a personality coming through, he takes great pains to suddenly leave and find a quiet spot until it subsides. He also takes medication that quells the personalities.
• Intriguing relationship with one or more characters: Resentment and bitterness towards women in general, but especially with his mother and ex-wife. His need to bring up his daughter to respect men and not put them down, which she is a constant witness to seeing. His passion for Krystal. But deep love for his wife.
• Past lives: Henry (1865), Jeremiah (1905), Donald (1955)
Eric has a past. Actually, many pasts. From the small child trying to do the right thing to the young man unable to control his urges. Because he’s been reincarnated, and each life is trying to help him not make another mistake, dooming his soul to yet another short-lived fate. Except he isn’t the type to fix things. In fact, he’s used to the women in his life taking care of everything. But now, he has a wife and daughter to take care of. And unless he lives his life the way he’s supposed to live it, choosing the right people to be with him, his soul will remain restless, weary, and only suited for death.
• Who is the character? Role in the show? NATALIE Wife with past lives, yoga instructor
• Noteworthy traits: Her past lives are always trying to get her attention, she struggles with self-esteem and communication
• Intriguing history: She grew up poor, was considered “low class” in all her past lives, has to work to overcome this. Has a sister who is constantly asking for handouts to support her drug addiction.
• Intrigue? Mystery? Why do messages keep popping up for her? Who is writing them?
• How do they support or drive the conflict with others? She wants to know what her past selves are telling her…why they’re contacting her. But Eric doesn’t want to go further into this. And Krystal wants Natalie to doubt her own sanity.
• Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character Meditation is her specialty, and yet her anxiety makes it difficult
• Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters
• Unpredictable? Her personalities come out at inopportune times without warning
• Intriguing relationship with one or more characters LaDonna is her friend and confidant and the only one who knows about the son Nat gave up for adoption when she was 16.
• Beth (1865), Harriet (1905), Linda (1955)
Like her husband, Natalie is living a life in a series of lives, each one suffering from mistakes of the past. Desperate to figure out how to turn her life around, she listens to the people in her head. And enlists the help of a therapist trained in past life regression. Except her therapist leaves her feeling even more confused. Because while Natalie is trying to figure things out, her husband and therapist seem bent on putting her away. Natalie’s a fighter, she’s been that way since she was a kid living in poverty. But she has to differentiate the line between friend and foe.
• Who is the character? Role in the show? KRYSTAL Nat’s therapist, also deals with past life issues
• Noteworthy traits: Seductress, stemming from her past life selves. The only way she can capture a man’s attention is to be his fantasy.
• Intriguing history: Wheels of fate turned when in 1865 she lost her son to his desire to rescue a girl not worthy of him. She set the girl’s death into motion.
• Intrigue? Mystery? Although she is Nat’s therapist, she is also her rival
• How do they support or drive the conflict with others? She is the wedge between Eric and Natalie, learning their secrets and using them against one another
• Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character She wants to be a good person, tries to help others through therapy and care, but also wants to destroy Natalie.
• Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters When LaDonna sees what Krystal is trying to do, they get into an altercation leading to LaDonna’s death
• Unpredictable? She makes decisions based on emotion, not intellect; she’s impulsive.
• Intriguing relationship with one or more characters The desire she and Eric have with one another is intense, and Eric can’t hold out forever.
• Judith (1865), Annabella (1905), Marlene (1955)
Krystal is in a love triangle between Eric and Natalie. Like them, she, too, is living out a reincarnated life. But she also knows that while Eric and Natalie are married, she’s the one Eric should be with. And she’ll go to any lengths to seduce him. The artist in her paints depictions of her past lives, and they tell a story of failure and defeat. But in this life, she sees things she never could in her past lives. In this life, she’ll win Eric over and the world will be righted again.

Lesson 2
Subject: Marcus’s Character Descriptions
I learned the basics of creating the character descriptions which need to be in the pitch bible.
Cassandra
The retired head of a defunct witches’ coven, Cassandra can’t say goodbye to magic nor can she find a place in the modern world for it. She can barely contain her glee upon discovering that her arch-enemy, Trabeus, who she thought was out of the picture, has made a comeback – with evil intent.
Known for her expertise in strategy, Cassandra will need everything she’s got to reunite her coven. Cassandra is at her best when beset on all sides by doubters. And being alone is the worst thing that can happen.
She’s been making some unfortunate mistakes with her spells the last several years, but none will come back to bite her like the one she makes with Trabeus.
Trabeus aka Mr. Bellamondo
A kindly old man with time for everybody, the neighbors all love Mr. Bellamondo. He sees the world as an unnecessarily cruel, disastrously filthy and overcrowded place. He can help.
Trabeus is in witness protection, and he vows that this time will be different. Except that he has secretly gone to work for a mid-level crime boss as a loyal contractor. He needs to extinguish the local crime problem from the inside – no cops this time. His expertise in the dark arts will come into play.
He needs to stay a step ahead of Cassandra, who never understood him and is the only person he fears.
Stewart
A slacker, a risk taker, a failure at relationships, Stewart hates himself for having no good purpose in life, yet can’t seem to correct that. And he makes a helluva surf board with or without the one thing he’s great at: magic.
Winifred
The most ancient of the coven, Winifred has lost herself in very dark magic. She has conjured a creature from the Deep called Nightblue who provides her with temporary youth. Nightblue’s visits take a heavy toll, but Winifred is addicted. When Cassandra gives Winifred the call, Nightblue is eager to meet some new friends.
Astra
A formerly happy-go-lucky innocent, Astra has fallen in with some mysterious and evil company. One of her “associates” has landed her in prison. Where she starts her own coven. Her “associate” will answer for the betrayal soon enough.
Endor
Unable to accept the long-ago loss of her daughter and with time on her hands, an aging Endor needs to talk to her daughter one last time. Endor seduces a powerful Voodoo practitioner who she convinces to do something he is very reluctant to do and legitimately fearful of. He warns her. She doesn’t listen.
Beatrix
Always the most cerebral of the coven, Beatrix has taken up science in her old age. With a Ph.D. under her belt, she no longer needs magic to seek a cure for what ails her. It helps that she has a secret lover. But Cassandra would be furious if she knew who it was.
Nightblue
An inscrutable shadow creature from the Deep who plays his evil games with Winifred. But she’s no longer enough.
Deathsong
A resurrected dead person should never hear their original name. So, she’s called Deathsong. And Endor should not have compelled her boyfriend raise this one.
Marius
As morose as he is enormous, Marius doesn’t have much to say. His skills say it for him. He owes his life to Trabeus and isn’t happy about it. But he does as he’s told. For now.

• Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: Never wanted to be Head Priestess; has long had doubts about her abilities and this life that was chosen for her; now she is the face of the brand and must reestablish their value to the success of Rome.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters: She challenges Silvius’s authority and leadership within The House of Vesta; secretly investigates who impregnated Livia; She becomes one of the most powerful women in the Roman Empire

START: A reluctant Vestal Virgin is hastily appointed Head Priestess amidst a scandal. She must quickly restore the credibility of the Vestals and reestablish their value to the success of Rome.
MIDDLE: Doubts about mystic abilities; restless with this life that was chosen for her; Livia was her only salve; happy to be in her shadow; one person she trusted had been living a secret life; her gone, no allies; thrust into high stakes, life/death position;
END: She becomes one of the most powerful women in the Roman Empire.
ROUGH DRAFT:
She’s always been #3. Tucked behind Head Priestess extraordinaire Livia and Severa, the Beyonce of Vestals hungrily waiting in the wings, Nerilla was relieved to exist in their shadows. A slacker by nature with a string of botched blessings, she’s long questioned her magical abilities and this life that was chosen for her at the age of 10. A highly taboo secret relationship with Livia offers her an ally and confidante. Until scandal thrusts a shocked Nerilla into the role of Head Priestess. Ill prepared, untested and unpopular, she’s now the face of the Vestal brand and must prove she’s essential to the success of Rome. Key to her survival—the perception she courts the favor of the gods. Faced with life and death stakes and haunted by her past record, she starts to fake blessings. And predictions, with some well-placed assistance. To her surprise, with much success. How long can she keep this ruse going? Unexpectedly shrewd, gutsy and disarming, she navigates back channels of Rome’s volatile political system, where no other woman has access. Over time, her counsel and mystic powers are in demand. Nerilla becomes one of the most powerful figures in the Roman Empire.

START: Popular and beloved Head Priestess, unleashes chaos when her miscarriage is revealed.
MIDDLE: Secret relationships; High position; shattered trust; broken vows; worshipped by citizens and higher ups; untouchable.
END: Silvius just can’t let her off.
ROUGH DRAFT:
Popular and beloved by the masses, Livia relishes her coveted position as Head Priestess. Demure, charming and ethereal, publicly she is worshipped. She moves amongst the masses and the elite with ease and grace. The embodiment of an ideal Vestal. Behind the scenes, she has the support of the other five. Though she could be strong handed, rigid and impulsive. The rookie Silvius panders to her. She starts to believe her own hype, thinking she’s untouchable. She gets reckless. There’s a man, from her childhood, who she begins to secretly visit. A dangerous romantic relationship with Nerilla satisfies other urges. An unexpected pregnancy and miscarriage up ends the power structure of the House. A vow of secrecy amongst the six is shattered when one of them leaks the news. She broke the sacred vow of the covenant. Silvius calls for her swift death, without a trial. Even as she lowers herself down into the tomb to be buried alive, she comports herself with the impeccable dignity of a true Vestal.

Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: She’s great for the Vestal brand. But can never be Head Priestess. She will always be #2.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters: She’s aligned with Silvius; she is an ally of Gaius Plautianus, Head of Praetorian Guard.

END: She can never be Head Priestess and ultimately, it is good for her and the rest of the Vestals if Nerilla succeeds.
ROUGH DRAFT:
Severa, the beautiful, popular rock star of a Vestal, is second in line. The epitome of demure, sexy chastity with a knack for successful blessings, she’s the obvious next choice for Head Priestess. In awe of Livia, she, Nerilla and Livia were inseparable as young girls, arriving into the covenant around the same time. She’s outraged when Silvius passes her over and appoints Nerilla instead. Her fury can only go so far, as they both know why she can never be Head Priestess. She’s not a virgin. She secretly had an abortion several years ago after being raped by Silvius’s father, a powerful Senator, who still sits on the Senate. She’s determined to use her popularity and position with Praetorian Guard to upstage Nerilla and sows division within the House. Unbridled, self-absorbed and vain, she reluctantly knows that Nerilla’s success is good for her and the rest of the Vestals. Though it doesn’t mean she won’t fight for the spotlight and the love of the Roman people!

How do they support or drive the conflict with others? As adults, she favors Nerilla over Severa.
Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: Image of chastity /pregnant
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters:
Unpredictable? Rigid; impulsive; starts to believe in her own hype.
Intriguing relationship with one or more characters – Nerilla; the farmer
START: Popular and beloved by the masses, Livia relishes her coveted position as Head Priestess.
MIDDLE: Demure, charming, ethereal. She’s worshipped. Embodiment of ideal Vestal. Strong handed, rigid. Untouchable? Unexpected pregnancy and miscarriage. Put to death.
END: Impeccable dignity in the end.
ROUGH DRAFT:
Popular and beloved by the masses, Livia relishes her coveted position as Head Priestess. Demure, charming and ethereal, she is worshipped. She breaks the cardinal rule of Rome: She stops paying attention. She gets reckless and distracted. There’s a man, from her childhood, a farmer, who she begins to secretly visit. A dangerous romantic relationship with Nerilla satisfies other urges. An unexpected pregnancy and miscarriage up ends the power structure of the House and unleashes scandal. A broken vow of secrecy exposes her. Silvius calls for her swift death, without a trial. Even as she lowers herself down into the tomb to be buried alive, she comports herself with the impeccable dignity of a true Vestal.
SILVIUS
Who is the character? Role in the show? Pontifex Maximus in charge of The House of Vesta
Noteworthy traits: In over his head; completely wrong for this job; determined to get his father’s approval; overly confident; makes odd jokes; lonely and looking for love;
Intriguing history: Middling politician with family connections.
Intrigue? Mystery? Knows about Severa’s abortion; pressured by his father to keep it a secret; Knew about Nerilla and Livia. Deformity on his face.
How do they support or drive the conflict with others? Agrees to continue to protect Severa. Keeps her out of Head Priestess position. Shows strength by swiftly moving forward with death of Livia.
Irony — Opposites or paradoxes that exist with the character: Surrounded by women. Can’t have any of them.
Opposing agendas/etc. that naturally causes conflict with other characters: Doesn’t get along with Nerilla. Never has. More of a fan of Livia and Severa.
Unpredictable? Just not built for the intense, competitive world of Roman politics. But thinks he is!
Intriguing relationship with one or more characters – Severa; his father; Nerilla
START: Pontifex Maximus, a big title for a little guy. New to the job, he’s in charge of The House of Vesta.
MIDDLE: In over his head; not built for intense, competitive world of Roman politics; determined to protect his powerful father’s mistake with Severa; lonely; surrounded by women, can’t have any of them; knows about Livia and Nerilla; deformity on face; put in position because they knew he wouldn’t be tempting to the women; David Brent.
END: Severa loyalist but becomes ally of Nerilla
ROUGH DRAFT:
Pontifex Maximus, a big title for a little guy. New to the job, Silvius is in charge of The House of Vesta. A middling politician from a wealthy family. His two older brothers, successful soldiers both, were his father’s favorites. Both were killed in recent campaigns, leaving only Silvius for his father to exploit. But he’s never been built for the intense, competitive world of Roman politics. Now, he’s thrust into the eye of a horrendous scandal that has occurred on his watch. He’s completely the wrong guy for the job: short, pudgy, scarred, socially awkward, odd sense of humor and blunted political instincts. When conflicts arise, he shuts down and avoids, retreating to the Vestal gardens and bird aviary. Lonely and looking for love, he’s surrounded by women, none of which he can have. His crush on Livia makes his decision to have her put to death, at his father’s violent behest, all the more gutting. His salve is the fame and notoriety that comes with the job. Think David Brent in a toga.

Marie’s Character Descriptions
What I learned doing this assignment is that it helps build the character’s arc and brings new elements to the story.
CHARACTER 1: SKYLER
A Guardian angel with the ability to travel through space and time all at once, is either studying at the school of angels in heaven or on a mission on earth: watching over Rose, a teenage hacker. But one day, he loses the connection with Rose. It’s too bad he has already failed his previous mission. Failing again means he will be sent to guard the remparts for eternity and it would put an end to the rumor about the mystery of his origin, the way students think he is special and the particular attention he secretly receives from the school principal and the teachers, the archangels.
Without the ability to connect with Rose, he can only remove obstacles and dangers before they reach her. With his traditionnal guardian angel training and his dyslexia, Skyler is unprepared to deal with Rose’s genius ability to hack and to face the Cyber lords she’s involved with. He can make big mistakes and take risks, use forbidden magic to commit crimes. All of this make him wonder about his own identity. Is he actually bad? Is he a fallen angel?
Or is he the victim of a scheme too big for him? Is Charlie the fallen angel manipulated Rose and leading her to her own desctruction? When he learns that half of the students at school have been embodied by fallen angels who want to disconnect humans from celestial protection, he realizes that he has a special ability to resist fallen angel embodiement and can reverse the process for others. But to activate his power, he has to believe in himself and he has to solve the mystery of his origin and to understand why he has those traumatic memories of the boy of his previous mission (no other angels had memories). The more he becomes the leader of the students and destroy the fallen angels, the more he is loosing connection with them, focusing only on his friend Merrill. He suddenly wakes up in the boy’s human body, on a hospital bed, coming out of a long coma. His guardian angel Merrill will lead him to meet Rose and become an ethic hacker.
CHARACTER 2: ROSE
A moody, unpredictable teen girl who lives at home with her mum, pretends to do her homework for school but instead, she dedicates her time between hacking or creating different identities in search of her own. She doesn’t know that her guardian angel is still there, watching her. Until she was 6, she could see her guardian angel, but after, she could only feel the blessing of his presence and she got into the habit of talking to him. Even if she can’t feel his presence anymore, she keeps talking to him.
She’s a natural at hacking. She starts with little actions until she decides to go bold and hacks the water filtration system that will affect the whole country for a ransom. Her guardian angel is devastated and since he cannot connect with her anymore, he tries to anticipate or get ahead of her (he can manipulate the time) to prevent her from becoming a bad person.
Both the police and the Cyber lords are after her. Her guardian angel prevents her from being killed or arrested. But Charlie the fallen angel fights him.
Despite being the world famous younger hacker, Rose doesn’t manage to attract her birth father’s attention. He used to be the most famous bank robber. But she does attract the attention of another father figure, a Cyber Lord who hacks her, ransoms her, manipulates her and involves her into a bigger crime scene despite the gigantic efforts her guardian angel has been deploying to help her. What she doesn’t know is that Charlie the fallen angel possesses her and makes her do things she would never normally do.
Unaware of the war going on between the fallen angels and the guardian angel, only centered on the Cyber war, she becomes a Cyber lord, and her bad behavior affects many sectors of social and professional life. All along, she is unaware that her guardian angel is commiting crimes to save her on a daily base in this dangerous mental cyber world.
CHARACTER 3: CHARLIE
A guardian angel with the same abilities as Skyler to travel through space and time all at once, who studies at the school of angels and is neglecting his mission on earth: watching over Liam, a boy with chronic fatigue. One day, Charlie, who is an average boy with not much brain, is embodied by a fallen angel, the best in his category, a highly trained demon. The fallen angel’s mission is part of a big plan: to disconnect the guardian angels from the human they protect and to have free access to the human mind and lead him or her to destroy everything around them. But, the fallen angels have failed to embody Skyler. So the demons embodies Charlie, Skyler’s best friend, as a way to manipulate Skyler. That’s the closest the fallen angels can get to Skyler (a rumor at school calls Skyler « the chosen »)
So the fallen angel Charlie has to pretend to be silly but bursts of his cleverness trigger Skyler’s suspicion about Charlie’s real identity. Has Charlie something to do with his disconnection with Rose? The more Charlie the fallen angel will be pushing Rose into deadly situations, the more Skyler the guardian angel has to fight his influence over Rose to save her.
Charlie the fallen angel develops a fascination for Skyler and feels attracted to him until a day, in the midst of a furious battle between guardian angels and fallen angels, Charlie will sacrifice himself to save Skyler.

that might not sit well with the people she works -
· DAY 14 ASSIGNMENT 2-2: Compelling Character Descriptions
Subject line: Mary J. Andrews’ Character Descriptions
What I learned doing this assignment: that I can’t seem to follow instructions. It is first draft, though.RAEL POINT (mid 30’s) Universal Government Dark Ops Agent, Captain of the Nemesis is the only person to have ever escaped the Hive Penal Planet, rescued as a newborn, though not yet addicted to the drug which would have enslaved him for life, he was already implanted with the Hive temple plates allowing him to wirelessly interlink to anything with an electronic pulse as well as to link to and command the Universal Web.
He is more comfortable with technology than people due to his muted emotions; As a baby, he never cried; he mourns in moments; anger dissipates as it is born and he has never known elation.
Raised by the Universal Government agent who eventually became Head of Dark Ops, she had him trained to service in the force, but his compu-links disrupted, even scalded, Psi Agent’ minds, so she arranged for him to train aboard his own ship, Nemesis. Eventually, she allowed him to create his own team and he chose other Fireborn outcasts.
The first, IRA HAZE, a young man (barely in his 20’s) highly trained rogue talent (Finder)/ empath/Wall Master Rael rescued from the slavers of The Wall (a service used to rewrite citizens when needed by their employers, usually). It appealed to Rael that the boy was grateful, disciplined and gifted. His rogue talent allowed him to track residual imprints of a target’s essence through the Ethereal Plane and link with them, see, hear, feel through their senses and then report to Rael, who would compu-link and locate the target from such data. It was painful for the youngling, but he never complained and it took little effort for him to recover afterward. They became a very successful Seeker Team—mostly seek and retrieve, occasionally they would locate and dispatch a hit team, but with the addition of another member they became lethal as well.
LAYNALD LOCKHEIM (a smart 67) is the team’s Healer, Assassin, Strategist and Security Officer. Once a King’s Healer on a backward planet, he is dedicated to Rael for saving his life and giving him a new future. Being older, he tends to look out for Ira and sees him as the grandson he hopes not to have to kill.
He does not differentiate between healing or killing and is extremely good at both. He is hyper-aware and suspicious, always prepared, armed to the teeth and a little bit sadistic. He challenges the rest of the crew to become more aware of their surroundings at all times and is ready to do whatever needs to be done without qualms. The end justifies the means to him. He maintains a rough exterior to keep others distant. He is happily, NOT a nice man, but occasionally, he slips up and does something nice. He has a gruff exterior, an analytical mindset and a gauged hostility towards others. He sees Rael as his equal and Ira, despite his skill set and abilities as a trainee.
TRISTEN will become the last member of the Seeker Team, eventually. She is : female lead(early 20s), romantic interest for Ira, Powerful ally and destined to betray the team. She claims to be a Chosen One meant to save her world though she cannot remember it. She believes she will know what to do when the time arrives. Til then, she does whatever her masters order…and then, she falls in love with Ira…Though blind, she sees and hears telepathically, she can control and enslave minds from any distance after physical contact. She is a link to the Oracle Triad from her world (wherever it is) As a Chosen One, the Oracles told her she would know what to do when the time arrived. To fit in, Tristen appears overly compliant. Her slave training has taught her to expect no quarter when she does not obey. She easily defends herself but only under the direst attacks She is meant to do everything told until the time arrives, so she appears to have embraced Ira’s rewritten script to the extreme. In truth, Tristen waits to do what she is destined to do when the time comes. After learning how badly she has been used and abused Ira finds himself more and more attracted to her, though he does not believe he can safely have a physical relationship because of his nature/abilities.

Mark Lederkramer Binge Worthy TV Boot Camp Module 2 Lesson 2 Character Descriptions
I learned from this assignment that all the work I had done in Module 1 could be laid out for character descriptions. The step-by-step technique really worked for me. It’s making me rethink and make my characters even better

Intrigue? Will Matty ever find out that it was actually his partners, Stuey and Tony, who broke into his apartment and beat and ripped him off
Mystery? Will the Columbian trip be a success
Drive conflict: Matty is partying way too much with Cocaine, Qualudes, Weed, Booze, and hookers. Even worse is that he is doing most of this with Jonny Naps, the most dangerous murderer in the Mafia
Irony: Matty only took on partners for protection after he was robbed and beaten in a break in at his apartment. The irony is that it was his partners, Stuey and Tony, who staged the rip off to scare Matty into their partnership
Opposing Agendas: Matty is still partners with Stuey and Tony, but he is very unhappy with how Stuey talks to him. He feels he is treated like an employee and not the real reason that the Big 3 are so successful. He would like to break up the partnership but he’s scared of Stuey
Unpredictable? Because of all the partying he is doing, Matty is totally unpredictable. He could be flying on Cocaine or passing out on Qualudes
Intriguing Relationships: Matty has intriguing and different relationships with all the important characters
START: Matty as a kid is awkward in looks and actions. He doesn’t have friends but he tries to buy friends with weed and other drugs. Micky is one of Matty’s only real friends. He genuinely likes him and he tries to look out for Matty. Matty is an idiot savant when it comes to selling illegal goods. When he discovers weed, he immediately knows that his life will be changing. After dealing locally, he decided to fly to San Diego. He ended up bringing sixty kilos of Acapulco Gold across the border in two suitcases. This was the start of his transition from Marijuana dealer to Marijuana smuggler
MIDDLE: Matty is now a full- fledged successful drug smuggler and dealer. He’s big time in New York and the whole East Coast. It’s at this time that Stuey comes up with his plan to convince Matty to become partners with he and Tony. The plan was simple! Tony would start hanging out and partying with Matty almost every night. While they got high and fucked call girls at Matty’s apartment, Tony was planting the idea that Matty needed partners for protection. The final part of the plan was a staged break-in and rip off at Matty’s apartment. Stuey makes sure to make a strong impression by hitting Matty in the face with his rifle butt.
ENDING: Matty is a master smuggler and dealer. Now that he has Micky working with him, he is trying to figure out a safe way to split from Stuey and Tony. He has also spent a lot of time befriending Johnny Naps and the rest of the Torrio crew. His thinking is that if he wants to split from the Big 3 crew, he would still need physical protection. Nobody fucks with the Torrio’s!
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Matty
Matty is a master smuggler and drug dealer. To look at him you would believe that to be a total impossibility. He is six feet tall with a huge Jewfro and the thickest glasses that you could imagine. He is fluent in Spanish which is part of the reason for his success. He is like an idiot savant when it comes to smuggling and dealing weed. The truth is that Matty is so much smarter than people give him credit for. He is not happy with his current partnership, but he knows that he can’t make any changes until the Columbian trip is a success and he secures new source of protection.
Stuey Issacson
Role in the show: Stuey is the leader of the Big 3 crew
Noteworthy Traits: Decisive leader, tough guy, over confident, thinks that he is always the smartest guy in the room
Intriguing history: Stuey and Tony have been best friends since the 2nd grade. They met Matty and Micky in junior high school. Matty liked Tony and hung out and partied with him. He didn’t know Stuey that well and he didn’t want to. Stuey sees how successful Matty is as a dealer and smuggler and he is jealous. He makes a plan with Tony to stage the break-in at Matty’s apartment. Tony had made Stuey promise that there would be no violence and that Matty would not be hurt. Stuey agreed but knew for his plan to succeed he needed to bust Matty up.
Intrigue? Will Matty ever find out what Stuey and Tony did to him
Mystery? Will the Columbian trip be a success and if so what will it mean for the Big 3 crew and their relationship with the Torrio crew
Drive conflict: Being the final decision maker means that there is constant conflict in Stuey’s life. He is constantly upset with Matty because of all of his partying. Of course, the biggest conflict is the Columbian trip and all of its challenges
Irony: Stuey is Jewish but acts like and wishes he was Italian
Opposing Agendas: Stuey is only interested in making more and more money and becoming more involved with the Mafia. Matty wants to make money but still have fun and party while doing it. In the beginning Matty doesn’t like the fact that Stuey approached the Torrio’s without even telling him or discussing it with him
Unpredictable: Because he has a bad temper and thinks that he is the smartest guy in the universe, Stuey, will make rash and sometimes violent decisions that are huge mistakes
Intriguing Relationships: Stuey has intriguing relationships with his partners, Matty and Tony, as well as Micky and most notably Jackie Torrio and his crew
START: Stuey is a wannabe tough guy and small- time drug dealer who scams Matty into a very lucrative partnership with Tony and himself
MIDDLE: Traits Stuey is now the unquestioned leader of the Big 3 smuggling and dealing crew in Brooklyn, New York. He has become more violent and ruthless as the years pass. He has made a huge move by partnering with the Torrio crew. This is one of those decisions he makes that will lead to real trouble for the Big 3 crew
ENDING: Stuey has started to question why he approached the Torrio’s in the first place. He is now worried that Jackie Torrio will decide that he wants a bigger percentage on the business that the Big 3 bring in or even worse just look to cut him out altogether
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Stuey
Stuey is the leader of the Big 3 crew. He is built like a brick shit house. He is ruthless, conniving and very violent. He has little or no respect for Matty even though he is only a success because of scamming Matty into a partnership. His word is always the final word and his decisions are law. This is a problem because Stuey isn’t half as smart as he thinks he is and he makes a lot of bad decisions for the crew. The worst being partnering with the murderous Torrio crew. They are the newest version of Murder Incorporated for the Mafia
Tony Fortunado
Role: Tony is the third partner of the Big 3 crew
Noteworthy Traits: Likeability, calm, handsome, charismatic
Intriguing History: Tony has been best friends with Stuey since 2nd grade. They did small time crime and weed and coke dealing. Tony has been friends with Matty since junior high school.
Intrigue? Tony sets up Matty and stages the break-in and rip off at his apartment even though they were supposed to be friends. It may have been Stuey’s plan but it was Tony who betrayed Matty
Mystery? Will the Columbian trip be a success? Will Matty find out that Tony and Stuey scammed him into their partnership?
Drive Conflict: Tony is constantly having to deal with both Matty’s partying and flakiness as well as Stuey’s violent tendencies. He also is the only Italian in the partnership
Irony: Tony never really wanted to be involved with the Mafia and now because of Stuey, he is in a partnership with the most murderous Mafia crew in New York
Opposing Agendas: Tony doesn’t agree with how Stuey speaks down to both himself and Matty. He also is not as greedy as Stuey. He just wants to be able to enjoy his money and not end up in jail or dead
Unpredictable? Sometimes Tony disagrees with Stuey’s decisions for the crew. When he gets pissed-off, he ends up going missing for a day. Usually that means that he has either picked up a new girl or is with a high-end escort and is fucking their brains out and getting wacked out on coke
Intriguing relationships: Tony has intriguing relationships with Matty, Stuey, Micky, the Torrio crew and his wife
START: Tony starts out as a likeable guy from the neighborhood but he then becomes partners with Stuey and he starts becoming more like him as they do crimes and deal drugs together
MIDDLE: Traits. Tony is a real ladies’ man. Tony is the guy that every woman wants to fuck and every man wants to be friends with. He is also good at mediating between Stuey and Matty. He is now a partner in the most successful Marijuana smuggling and dealing crew in New York
ENDING: Tony is like both of his partners, stressed out because things with the Columbian trip have not been going smoothly. He is also fed up of having to play good cop to Stuey’s bad cop with Matty. He just wants to live to enjoy all the money that he and his partners have made
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Tony
Tony is the 3rd partner of the Big 3 crew. He is the most liked of the partners. He is a very handsome and charming man. Tony is the guy that every woman wants to fuck and every man wants to be friends with. He has the gift of gab and great charisma. Howie and Micky have been best friends since high school. They knew as soon as they met that they were going to be great friends. Howie has sold pot since he was thirteen, but he doesn’t smoke pot. He has been a vegetarian since he was fourteen
Intrigue? How will his dealing partnership with Micky work out and will Micky’s high position with the Big 3 crew lead to them both getting wealthy
Mystery? Will the Columbian trip succeed and will Micky be able to stay healthy while working for the crew
Drive conflict: The day-to-day work of buying and selling weed and hash. Howie worries about what Micky is doing from day to day for the crew
Irony: Micky met Howie when one of his friends, Ryan, asked him to wait in the car while he picked up weed from a friend. Ryan said that he didn’t think that Micky would like Howie because he was so different. Micky didn’t want to go in anyway. Then while he was sitting in the car, Howie knocked on the window and when I opened the window, he introduced himself. We immediately started talking about the Yankees and baseball and that was the start of a great friendship which turned into a great partnership
Opposing Agendas: Howie wants to make a lot of money but he is hoping that he and Micky make it ASAP so that Micky might be able to break away from the crew
Unpredictable? Howie is a hippy at heart so he isn’t as punctual or as careful as Micky would like him to be. He loves to eat and breakfast in China Town was normal for Howie and Micky
Intriguing Relationships: Howie’s relationship to Micky, Matty, Stuey, Tony, and his dealing clients

ENDING: Howie has put in a lot of work and money into the partnership with Micky. Although they split expenses, Howie has earned most of the money and is really getting antsy about when the Columbian trip will arrive so Micky can contribute to the partnership
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Howie
Howie is Micky’s best friend and dealing partner. He is a spiritual hippy and he and Micky are an odd couple. He is a follower of the Maharaji, a teenage Guru from India. Micky calls him, “The Greasy Fat Kid”. Howie has been selling weed since he was thirteen and is really good at it
