What I’ve learned doing this assignment is that when you get in a flow, try to stay out of your own way.
Alvoro’s Right Characters!
What makes these the right characters is the natural conflict that they bring to the situation. They naturally break into two camps, and they don’t trust each other, in a situation that is going to require trust. There’s a natural animosity between each camp, and issues in each camp, as well. They’re going to have to learn to work together if they want to survive.

Day 4: Denise’s Character Depth.
What I learned doing this assignment is tot look at the unique and complex relationship between the main characters such as who they are, what they want, and their purpose. They all want the same thing for different reasons.
Deborah’s Character Depth
Character: Deborah is a teen left to care for her younger siblings after parents leave home.
Secret: Rejects going to church but is secretly curious about God.
Wound: Left to raise her siblings.
Motivation: Doesn’t want siblings lost to the streets but she is all they have.
Dilemma: Caring for her siblings versus looking out only for herself.
Conspiracy: None
Secret Identity: Wants to attend college but life has halted her attempt.
Layers: Wants the American Dream.
Store Owner’s Character Depth
Character: Mr. Green is a middle-age sole proprietor struggling to keep his business afloat.
Secret: Financial problems that threatens closure.
Wound: Once a thriving business but difficulty managing business after community decline.
Motivation: Wants to retire but needs to work.
Dilemma: Turn over money to gunman versus having to recover from a financial loss.
Secret Identity: The store is all he has. It keeps him alive.
Conspiracy: None
Layers: Has the American Dream but struggling.
Gunman’s Character Depth
Character: Adrias is a 25-year-old male who has tried to live honestly but the odds are against him.
Secret: High school dropout.
Motivation: Wants a normal life but needs help to have one.
Wound: Had a rough life. Father in jail, mother abandoned him during teenage years.
Hidden Agenda: Robbing the store for cash.
Dilemma: Conduct a heist versus homelessness or jail.
Secret Identity: Down on his luck.
Layers: Angry at life due to being left alone. Payback. Lost hope of the American Dream.
Conspiracy: None

ASSIGNMENT 4 N Lucas Character Depth 10/27/2021
1. With each of your characters, go through all of these questions to see which might fit for your story.
Internal Character Depth Store Owner
Motivation: Sees the opportunity for retribution against the Mayor of the Town<div>
Secret: Hates the Mayor and how the town runs wants to see a revolution of sorts to change things

Wound: Is perpetually treated horribly at Board meetings or Social Functions by Mayor
Subtext: Wants to date a certain other Trustee
Layers: She is also a Trustee in the town. Elected as an ‘independent’ because of ‘out of the box’ thinking
Character to character
Conflict: Being involved in a plot against the Mayor could have conflicts in their professional jobHidden </div><div>
Agenda: Some one wants to date someone else (? ) this happens with multiple characters
Conspiracy:Intrigue: Could be several levels of romance intertwined
Character Situation
Dilemma: Is she bad for drawing so many people in on the plot. Who will be the untrustworthy one?</div><div>
Secret Identity: Is really a cool and fun person and not always so bitter to people or mean
I couldn’t get all of the characters done because i want to get caught up with other assignments …. :/

Rolando’s Character Depth
What I learned doing this assignment is that I may have discovered a couple of usable nuggets with my characters but am not entirely satisfied with what I have, yet.
SCOTT
Motivation: To pay back his school loans to prevent the bank from taking his parents’ restaurant.
Secret: He’s ashamed of letting anyone know what he’s doing to make money and pay the rent.
Wound: Ashamed of his body brought on by a conservative upbringing.
Subtext: Hides the stress of mounting financial pressures
Conflict: Preventing his relationship with his roomies from disintegrating.
Hidden Agenda: To put a stop to Daddy before things get out of hand.
Dilemma: Doing internet porn to pay back the loan or not doing it and destroying his parents’ credit and losing family business.
JAY
Motivation: To make enough money to get to Alaska to start his own wilderness online show.
Secret: Has always had a crush on Scott, which he has never acted on for the sake of the friendship.
Wound: Was neglected as a child, parents were never around.
Subtext: Performs outlandish stunts to get attention, which he later regrets.
Conflict: Being forced to perform sex acts with his friend.
Dilemma: Go for the money and betray his friends or let his friends get the money and have his brand ruined.
LULU
Motivation: To get money to finally film the passion project that will get her noticed.
Wound: Never living up to her parents’ standards and coming in 2nd to her younger sister.
Subtext: She conceals her true feelings by using humor but her pain comes out when she’s upset.
Conspiracy: Joins forces with one roomie to bring down the other.
Intrigue: Gets offered money to stab Scott and does so.
Dilemma: Betray a friend for a large sum of money or risk not getting any money and having
to go back to live with her family.
