Sharilyn Finished ACT 3

What I learned doing this assignment is…I really wanna get more into this story. Make it the best it can be.

My rating of the High Speed Writing Rules:

Rule 1: Use empowering self talk. Cheer yourself on. = A+

Rule 2: Understand writing in drafts. = A+

Rule 3: Choose speed over quality for EARLY drafts. = B

Rule 4: Allow yourself to start (or continue) without all the answers. = C+

Rule 5: Keep moving. = A+ Don’t allow yourself to ever stall out. = B+

Rule 6: Even if you can’t create it now, you will be able to at some point in the future! = B

Insights I had writing ACT 3

Checking myself came more natural as I could
feel the story building. I mean, as I’m
writing it, I was still like, “Oh snap,
what’s about to happen!?” Also the character
voices are becoming more clear.

Tom’s Finished Act 3

I’m not sure I really learned anything this assignment, but it was a reinforcement that I am getting better at the speed writing. I feel like the real test will be in act 4 though, as I am really uncertain of a major plot point that I haven’t put much detail into thus far yet is pivotal toward moving the pilot to conclusion.
