Diana’s Character Journeys!
What I learned: I really like mapping out the character journey. I’ve never thought to do that before, and I think it will really help me create more engaging/in-depth characters, not just for contained scripts, but any script, be it for TV or film.
Best Friend
Beginning: Happy. Out with friends. Teases best friend about meeting someone.
Turning Point: Discovers her best friend is sleeping with her boyfriend.
Midpoint: Instead of getting mad, she gets even and creates a fake Tinder profile and finds the creepiest guy she can and sets her friend up with him to punish her.
Turning Point 2: Confronts boyfriend about affair. He denies it.
Dilemma: Forgive friend or leave boyfriend
3rd Act Climax: Surprised that date went well and accepts dinner invitation out of curiosity more than anything.
Ending: Is eaten by friend and her date.
Woman on Tinder Date
Beginning: Meaningless relationships. One-night stands.
Turning Point: Agrees to go on blind date.
Midpoint: Learns she is for dinner.
Turning Point 2: Tricks date and claims the upper hand somehow.
Dilemma: Eat or be eaten
3rd Act Climax: Mexican Standoff. They realize they can only win if they work together.
Ending: Realizes her date is her equal and joins forces with him to trick and eat her best friend to get back at her for trying to kill her.
Man on Tinder Date
Beginning: Cannibal, eating latest victim on his boat. Tosses remains aside in the ocean water.
Turning Point: Finds next victim on Tinder.
Midpoint: Reveals that his date is dinner.
Turning Point 2: Gets tied up by date.
Dilemma: Eat or be eaten
3rd Act Climax: Realizing they are both beaten at their own game, invites date to join him to get back at her friend by “thanking” her with a dinner invitation.
Ending: He and his new partner eat her friend. And drive away on boat after tossing remains overboard. Think Casablanca, “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership…”

Wow, Diana, I didn’t see that coming. The poor best friend 🙂

Auguste’s Character Journeys!
What I learned. I think if I put the viewpoints of these four characters together, and fleshed it out a bit, I would have the middle of my screenplay completed.
3 ACT JOURNY FOR IVY
Beginning – Ivy finds herself frightened, alone, and standing in Dr. Baines’ office with no memory of why she is there.
Turning point – Dr. Baines tells her she was found screaming madly on the sidewalk in front of her mother’s burning house. That was the reason she was put in the mental hospital.
Midpoint – After talking to the girl, Dr. Baines finds that the she is normal and releases her to the custody of her aunt until they can find out what happened at the fire, and find out a little more about what is causing her amnesia.
Turning point – Her twin sister climbs in her bedroom window at her aunt’s house and tells her she must not let anyone know she is there, and she must continue to talk to the psychiatrist and pretend to be her.
Dilemma – Ivy doesn’t know what to say to the doctor. She has no memory, but is afraid of her sister, and complies.
3rd climax – Ivy decides not to continue to lie for her sister.
Ending – Ivy’s sister comes to kill her.
Beginning – Iris is found screaming madly on the sidewalk in front of the burning house with her mother inside. She is brought to a security ward in a mental hospital for observation.
Midpoint – She realizes that if she sees a psychiatrist, he will know that she is insane and she will never get out.
Turning point – She switches places with her twin sister who has amnesia, and tells her to pretend to be her when she sees the doctor.
Dilemma – Her sister does not want to lie for her.
3rd climax – Her sister is going to tell the doctor the truth.
Ending – She decides to kill her sister.
3 ACT JOURNEY FOR THE SOCIAL WORKER
Beginning – Ms. Henderson, the prim social worker, thought the girl she saw at the fire was insane.
Midpoint – Ms. Henderson commits the girl to a psychiatric ward.
Turning point – Ms. Henderson checks on the girl a few days later. The girl has completely calmed down. It doesn’t even seem like the same girl.
Dilemma – The girl has changed so much that she thinks she made a mistake, and takes her to see the doctor.
3rd climax – After a few visits, Ms. Henderson begins to suspect that there are two girls.
Ending – The mad girl appears and kills her with an ax.
3 ACT JOURNEY FOR DR BAINES.
Beginning – Dr. Baines, a kindly old doctor, meets a frightened and docile thirteen year old girl in his office.
Midpoint – The girl has amnesia. He sees that, but sees no signs of insanity.
Turning point – Dr. Baines releases the girl to the custody of her aunt, but instructs the social worker to keep an eye on her.
Dilemma – Dr. Baines begins to suspect that there is something wrong. He is not sure of what it is, but decides to put the girl back in the security ward for closer observation.
3rd climax – Dr. Baines finds himself trapped in his office with a homicidal maniac.
Ending – A mad and twisted girl leaps across his desk with a hatchet in her hand and kills him.

Josh Lee’s Character Journeys!
What I learned doing this assignment is… that I must not know the story all that well because a lot of these I couldn’t answer, simply because of blanks I have in the story. What I did answer, I’m not even sure will stay, but I wanted to complete it.
I’m only posting my main character because a lot of my cast dies and won’t even have anything past Turning Point 2, maybe.
CHARACTER – SAM RICHTER
Beginning – depressed, quiet, introverted, he arrives at the asylum to do his community service and doesn’t speak to or look at anyone.
Turning Point – working with Logan (another comm. service worker) he finds a hunting knife that looks brand new and definitely should not be in an abandoned asylum. He doesn’t tell Logan about it and keeps it.
Midpoint – Realizes others have found various weapons that shouldn’t be in the building and that they’ve most likely been planted there.
Dilemma – will be whether or not he chooses to kill someone to survive, or if he even can kill someone again.
3rd Act Climax – final showdown with a deranged C.J. (who’s behind everything) and I picture Sam getting away without resorting to murder but then again, maybe not.
Ending – He survives! He finally forgives himself for what got him there in the first place which was murdering in self defense.

Heather’s Character Journey
What I learned from this assignment is that I should not omit a personal part of the story because it is necessary for depth, which means I need to add Clara’s biological daughter Michelle into the mix instead of trying to show family dynamic and history via the step-daughter – as a matter of my own self-protection as a writer.
For CLARA, retired widow and artist
Beginning: Clara braces herself for the uncertainty of the world shutting down due to covid. She oil paints nature scenes and still-life to keep herself busy.
Turning Point: Clara hears people coughing in the common areas of her building.
Midpoint: Clara’s paranoia is on full tilt, being manifested in an array of bizarre ways, including a remarkable change in her artwork.
Turning Point 2: Clara notices a crack in her wall that leads her to believe her safety from the virus could be breached. She tries to repair it.
Dilemma: Clara starts rationing her medication and food so she does not have to be in contact with the outside world.
3rd Act Climax: Clara’s paranoia escalates. She is frantic when she overhears a conversation in the hallway.
Ending: Clara drives off into the night and is now a missing person. She is recovered and brought to a psych facility.
For MICHELLE, Clara’s daughter
Beginning: Michelle tries to prepare her germaphobe mother for 2 weeks of national shutdown.
Turning Point: Michelle grows concerned based upon Clara’s nonsensical text messages.
Midpoint: Michelle digs deep within herself to try and to handle her mother’s illness on her own.
Turning Point 2: Michelle grows confused by her mother’s mixed messages that have shifted to address childhood traumas and decides to drive by her home.
Dilemma: Her car is gone. Michelle does not have a way to access her mother’s unit, and she is not responding by phone.
3rd Act Climax: Michelle finds that condition of her mother’s apartment a shocking disaster and her art has grown to be hauntingly abstract.
Ending: Michelle realizes her mom is missing and asks God to quickly determine a path for Clara’s destiny.

Jason’s Character Journeys!
What I learned doing this assignment is that it would be easier to lay out the character journeys if I had a better grasp on the full plot, but this actually helps to develop the plot. I have a good amount of work to do to flush out these journeys.
WIFE
Beginning: Prepares for her honeymoon vacation with her Husband. There’s a tension beneath the surface that Husband tries to joke his way out of.
Turning Point: They lock themselves in the bunker with the others. The honeymoon has taken a dangerous turn.
Midpoint: She reveals that she knows about the husband’s affair. It’s a public outing in front of everyone in the bunker.
Turning Point 2: Her Husband is killed trying to protect her. She’s all alone now in this situation.
Dilemma:
3rd Act Climax: Fights with Prepper, kills him. A tank of noxious gas is damaged and fills the bunker. As the room fills with fumes, she desperately tries to escape.
Ending: She escapes from the bunker just as rescuers arrive.
HUSBAND
Beginning: Prepares for honeymoon vacation but knows something isn’t right with Wife. He hits on the Deaf Girl. This is not a good husband.
Turning Point: They lock themselves in the bunker with the others. The honeymoon has taken a dangerous turn.
Midpoint: He is humiliated in front of everyone for his affair.
Turning Point 2: Prepper goads him into a confrontation. He thinks he has to win back Wife’s trust, so he goes overboard and further agitates Prepper.
Dilemma: Does he try to win back his Wife’s love, but put himself in danger?
3rd Act Climax: In a battle for the gun, and control of the bunker, Prepper gets the best of him.
Ending: Prepper shoots and kills him.
DEAF GIRL
Beginning: Unbeknownst to the audience, she is involved in a theft with a partner, who is inside the bunker.
Turning Point: They lock themselves in the bunker with the others. She discovers her partner is dead in the bunker.
Dilemma: Does she tell anyone that she knows the dead man, possibly diffusing the heavy conflict inside, but outing herself as a thief?
Midpoint:
Turning Point 2:
3rd Act Climax: As noxious fumes fill the room, she is incapacitated. Wife puts two and two together and realizes she is a thief. Tries to save her, but…
Ending: It’s no use, Wife has to get out before she dies. Deaf Girl doesn’t make it.
PREPPER
Beginning: He is chased off by Front Desk Girl. He doesn’t belong at the resort and is an annoyance.
Turning Point: They lock themselves in the bunker with the others. He has a chance to let Front desk Girl in but he doesn’t.
Midpoint: They find Prepper’s gun and he is even more of a suspect now. He refuses to give it up.
Turning Point 2: He shoots and kills Husband.
Dilemma:
3rd Act Climax: Stand-off between him and Wife. Deaf Girl is alive but incapacitated.
Ending: Wife turns the tables on him and kills him.

Don’s Character’s Journey
What I learned doing the assignment
My mind hits a roadblock when I try to envision the screenplay before I start it. I can see an opening that sends my characters on their journey. How they get to the end and what happens to them along the way are unknown.
Lora
Beginning: Happy, at peace with herself and the world
Turning Point: When they realize they are trapped on the riverboat Lora is not overly concerned as she relies on the others to make decisions that will save them.
Midpoint: Running out of water, attacked by mosquitoes and irritated, Lora goes inward and stays calm.
Turning Point 2: After Jeremy is bitten by a snake, Lora tries to heal him, but is thrown by his snakebite confession that he cheated on her with Cassie and knew Donovan had assaulted her.
Dilemma: Stuck on a boat with her cheating dying ex, betrayed by her roommate and flashbacks to her assault, Lora must find inner strength and not shutdown.
3rd Act Climax: Confronted by swamp folk, Lora must band with her enemies to defeat them.
Ending: Lora leaves the riverboat with a new confidence an peace.
Jeremy
Beginning: Happy, the leader
Turning Point: When they realize they are trapped on the riverboat Jeremy takes charge.
Midpoint: Running out of water, attacked by mosquitoes and irritated Jeremy starts to snap.
Turning Point 2: After Jeremy is bitten by a snake, he confesses to having cheated on Lora with her roommate, Cassie, and sent Donovan to take care of her.
Dilemma: Certain of death, he clears his conscious and is at the mercy of his friends.
3rd Act Climax: Confronted by swamp folk who think he’s dead, Jeremy surprises them.
Ending: Dead
Cassie
Beginning: Reserved, happy with reservationTurning Point: When they realize they are trapped on the riverboat steps up to co-lead the group.
Midpoint: Running out of water, attacked by mosquitoes and irritated, Cassie aligns herself with Jeremy and is hostile with Lora and Donovan, who she sees as not helping.
Turning Point 2: After Jeremy’s snakebite confession, Cassie feels shame, but must get Lora and Donovan on her side if they’re to survive.
Dilemma: With Jeremy out of the way, Cassie has the opportunity to become leader if she can defeat Donovan and reign in Lora.
3rd Act Climax: Confronted by swamp folk, Cassie fights.
Ending: Finds that winning is not the high she thought it would be.
Donovan
Beginning: Happy, relaxed, confident, joking and free-spirited
Turning Point: When they realize they are trapped on the riverboat Donovan doesn’t realize he severity of the situation. He’s still joking and having a good time.
Midpoint: Running out of water, attacked by mosquitoes and irritated, Donovan realizes the severity of the situation and looks for possible escapes.
Turning Point 2: Once exposed as a rapist, Donovan unravels.
Dilemma: Jeremy’s deathbed confession sets Donovan up as the villain. He must explain his rapey behavior.
3rd Act Climax: Confronted by swamp folk, Cassie fights.
Ending: Dead

Renee’s Character Journey’s
What I learned doing this assignment is how to think of each individual characters story and make sure that they have their own arc via the 3-Act structure.
For each of your main characters, create a 3-Act Structure of their journey.
Protagonist: Constance
Beginning: She is reluctant to speak her mind because of her acceptance wound.
Turning Point: she knows how to fix the damaged navigation system, but the antagonist won’t listen to her.
Dilemma: Does she continue to push the antagonist to listen to her and risk his violent temper or does she do nothing and risk the entire crew?
Midpoint: the craft’s communication system gets damaged while the antagonist is trying to fix the navigation system, so she has to persuade the other crew members that she can fix the issues.
Turning Point 2: communication with NASA is restored, but they find out the heat shields are damaged, making re-entry dangerous.
3rd Act Climax: she must figure out a way to fix the damaged heat shield.
Ending: She fixes the heat shield with the help of the other three crew members and they make it home safe.
Antagonist: Parker
Beginning: He’s arrogant and condescending toward the protagonist because she is a black woman and because she won her spot on the ship.
Turning Point: He refuses to let the protagonist try to fix the navigation system because he believes he is smarter than her.
Midpoint: After trying to fix the navigation system, he breaks the communication system leaving the four crew members stranded, without help, floating in space.
Dilemma: Does he continue with his old ways and doom the rest of the crew or does he change how he sees the protagonist and lose his sense of self.
Turning Point 2: he reluctantly allows the protagonist to fix the systems, and they find out the heat shields were also damaged making re-entry dangerous.
3rd Act Climax: He must learn to work with the protagonist so they can all make it back to earth safely.
Ending: They make it home safely and he has a newfound respect for the Protagonist.

Matthew Frendo’s Character Journeys!
What I learned doing this assignment was how to create character journeys before writing a script. I learned how important these are in a contained film and why they need to be strong in such a film.
NIKKI – Protagonist
Beginning: she helps a girl she finds in the alley who was beaten and raped, picks her up and takes her to the hospital
Turning Point: sees them kill first homeless person, brings back feelings of war and she starts to run
Midpoint: teams up with addict and makes bomb, starts hunting them back
Turning Point 2: gets away to next building, then sees other hunted person in building still, hears her fiancé’s voice and jumps back over to save him, ruining her chance to escape in the process.
Dilemma: should she escape with her own life or go back and save the addict, listening to voice of dead fiancé
3rd Act Climax: after killing his brother, she fights with the last ruthless gangster, finally killing him
Ending: She kills the gangster, gets out of the building and waves at the girl she saved at the beginning, giving a smile and walking off happy.
DARNELL THE BUTCHER – Antagonist
Beginning: kills old boss in middle of street for letting gang get too weak after street corners were taken
Turning Point: After setting up initiates, he sits in basement with popcorn to watch the action.
Midpoint: bomb goes off and cameras are cut, he sends out his strong man to take care of it
Turning Point 2: finds addict and is about to cut key out of his stomach, when Nikki comes back and fights him off, killing brother
Dilemma: let Nikki leave and live safely or fight her to death to avenge brother
3rd Act Climax: pissed about brothers death, he goes back to killer ways with Nikki
Ending: killed by Nikki after fighting her ruthlessly for killing his addict brother
DEVON – DRAMATIC TRIANGLE LINK
Beginning: addict on street who agrees to a job for a fix
Turning Point: He meets Nikki and other hunted man.
Midpoint: he agrees to help Nikki fight back
Turning Point 2: about to die, finds out key out is in his stomach, Nikki tries to save him and he barely escapes, but is badly hurt
Dilemma: die in peace or make sure Nikki gets out as he goes
3rd Act Climax: comes out of nowhere and jumps in front of Nikki before she is stabbed with thrown knife
Ending: dies saving Nikki and telling her to live again, has his stomach cut open by Darnell to get key when Darnell thinks he’s won

Barbara’s character journeys..I’ve focused on the 2 main characters for now…and I’m still brainstorming…
Mother:
Beginning: She doesn’t want to be on vacation in the first place; doesn’t believe the family tree that she’s shown on the computer at the tourist office.
Turning Point: She accepts the challenge (wants to humour the 2 geeks in the tourist office) of going into the castle to help the ghosts pass over.
Midpoint: She ends up in a battle with her husband and not just the ghosts.
Turning Point 2: She must find a way to bring her husband back: he’s now in the ghost’s camp.
Dilemma: She knows that the local economy thrives on tourism, ghosts stories, and when one is seen people keep coming so killing off the ghosts won’t be a popular thing to do.
3rd Act Climax: Will the ghosts forgive her and her ancestors? Will her husband return?
Father:
Beginning: He doesn’t want to be involved in the challenge/situation of going into the castle to help the ghosts pass over.
Turning Point: He meets one of the unhappy ghosts and realizes they are in pain and wants to help them.
Midpoint: He and his wife end up in a battle against each other.
Turning Point 2: He and his wife end up in different ghost camps.
Dilemma: He’s a doctor and he’d be working against his doctor’s oath if he has to kill the ghosts.
3rd Act Climax: can he find an ethical way to help the ghosts while freeing himself?

What I learned doing this assignment is… limited for the time being.
My focus in taking this course is the ‘contained’ script information. This seems like a valuable exercise for thinking about a character’s journey through a story, but not specific to contained scripts. There are more tools I would use to build my character which are unrelated to this system, and I would employ those before using this exercise to structure a timeline. But I do see the value in this.
-
BEVO’S CHARACTERS’ JOURNEYS
What I learned doing this assignment—-this process was mind-blowing – is the best way to write as you go and finish a story. The things in the various characters’ stories dictated how the story moved, finished out and the ending.
-
Jay’s Character Journeys
What I learned doing this assignment is that a three-act structure for each character journey is paramount.
Eliza (Protag)
Beginning: As a biologist/physician, she is working as part of a team to establish a colony on Mars. She confesses to one of her female team members that she and her boyfriend might go against the rules and try to have a baby.
Turning Point: A storm beyond anything they’ve seen before rolls it. Not only does it cut communications with Earth, but it kills her boyfriend – the team commander. She is thrust into that role.
Midpoint: When they fix the equipment and hear the latest message from Earth, they find out a comet appeared out of nowhere. It’s headed to Earth and is to be an extinction level event.
Turning Point 2: She finds out that God has told Mateo he is to be the father of the new human race and that she is to be the mother.
Dilemma: Give herself to Mateo or not. If the latter, the human race ends with her.
3rd Act Climax: She fights with Mateo and staves him off. He “mother” convinces her to give in, but she ends up killing Mateo.
Ending: She gives birth to the first of the new humanity.
Mateo (Antag)
Beginning: He serves as the team’s theologian, priest, and psychologist. He does a poor job at the latter.
Turning Point: His best friend, the commander, is killed and Eliza is thrust into the commanding role.
Midpoint: He tells the remaining crew that the comet is Wormwood and that this is the apocalypse.
Turning Point 2: He tells the crew that God has selected him to be the father of the new human race. He kills the one remaining male team member.
3rd Act Climax/Ending: He tries to rape Eliza. She gives herself to him. She kills him.
-
Linda’s Character Journeys
I’m learning more about how the characters’ conflicts and dilemmas interconnect with the events of the story.
TANJI
Beginning: Tanji is on his first assignment as a military chaplain in Iraq. Camp Wolf is being evacuated fast after 20 soldiers were killed in a surprise attack on the base. Tanji convinces Major Sloan to let him stay on the base and sort through the rubble to be able to contact fallen soldiers’ families.
Midpoint: Tanji is halfway through his impossible task of notifying families in only 1 week when the base is attacked again by Adiba’s brother, Baqir. Adiba is killed.
Turning Point 2: Major Sloan is determined to send Tanji back to the states. Against regulations about chaplain confidentiality, he recruits Mario to report back to him with information that might help him get rid of Tanji, whom he believes has no skills for serving in a dangerous war zone. Tanji’s father, Rev. Wilkes, has a heart attack at home.
Dilemma: Tanji wants to succeed on his own as a military chaplain and find his spiritual purpose but his father wants him to come home and take over their Southern Baptist congregation where he won’t be involved in a senseless war in Iraq.
3rd Act Climax: Mario attempts suicide. Tanji talks him down. Major begrudgingly sees Tanji’s worth.
Ending: Tanji goes to the next base and chooses to stay in Iraq. He’s found his purpose.
MAJOR RAY SLOAN
Beginning: A hardened atheist who’s seen too much, has to stay on the bombed-out base for a week while Tanji, an inexperienced chaplain, contacts families of fallen soldiers. He tells Adiba it’s not safe for her to return to her village. He’s applying for her to emigrate to America after serving as a translator.
Midpoint: Adiba’s brother, Baqir, attacks the base and accidentally kills his sister. Major Sloan was fond of her and finds himself feeling empathy for Tanji’s grief, but ultimately blames him for her death.
Turning Point 2: In his fury at Tanji over Adiba’s death, Major breaks regulations and recruits Mario, Tanji’s chaplain’s assistant, to report on him. He’s determined to get Tanji out of Iraq before he gets anyone else killed.
Dilemma: In a dark night of soul, Major believes only his toughness and skepticism can help him and others survive but he wants to believe there’s more to life than war and suffering.
3rd Act Climax: Major must back off when Tanji goes alone to talk Mario down from committing suicide. He realizes Tanji is the only one who can do the job. He feels guilty over conflicting Mario.
Ending: Major finishes moving what’s left of the base, along with Tanji and Mario, to the next camp where Mario will get psychiatric help and Tanji will get an award for bravery. Chaplains do have value.
ADIBA
Beginning: She’s a young Iraqi woman who went to a couple years of college in Boston and wants to be an American woman. She returns to Camp Wolf for her job as translator to discover the base has been attacked and 20 soldiers were killed. They are evacuating the survivors. She does a prayer for a Muslim soldier who died. Major Sloan tells her she can’t return to her village. She offers to help Tanji with his task.
Midpoint: Her brother, Baqir, in a suicide vest, blows himself and her up at the camp.
Turning Point 2: Tanji does the proper rituals for burying a Muslim and wraps her Quran. In a dream, Adiba comes to him and tells him she loves him.
Dilemma: She’s torn between Baqir and Tanji.
3rd Act Climax: Something Adiba told Mario helps him in his time of crisis to not kill himself.
Ending: Adiba, in the mist, watches as Major Sloan awards Tanji with a medal for his bravery in saving Mario’s life.
MARIO
Beginning: Mario is a devout, rule-following soldier who joined the military after September 11th. He’s devoted to his job but resents Tanji making him have to stay on the bombed-out base without his buddy, Trey, who he hopes survived the blast.
Midpoint: Mario protects Tanji from getting killed with Adiba
Turning Point 2: He has to agree with Major Sloan that Tanji is a danger to himself and others and will betray him. He finds Trey’s unsent email at the Internet café.
Dilemma: Does he betray Tanji and help Major make the case to send him back to the states or is Tanji winning him over with his strong desire to be a good chaplain?
3rd Act Climax: Mario has overwrought reaction to finding Trey’s effects and tries to kill himself.
Ending: Mario goes with Tanji and Major to the next base to see the psychologist and get help with impending PTSD.

Jon’s Character Journeys!
What I learned doing this assignment: How useful it is to try to outline from a character’s point of view vs from the “story’s” point of view.
– HARSH (Protagonist) –
Beginning: Cancelling his uncle’s recurring appointments with his masseuse. (Would the dairy barn’s customers be on hold for mourning or something?)
Turning Point: Gets a phone call from Madeline, she’s coming up a day early without her husband.
Midpoint: He feels comfortable enough to share how he feels his life has gone off the rails and he’s now entirely at sea.
Turning Point 2: He figures out what she’s up to (i.e.: sussing out soulmate status w/ the “36 questions”), building to 5 mins of staring
Dilemma: Breaking up her marriage or losing out on the love of his life
3rd Act Climax: Her husband arrives.
Ending: Setting up a Tinder profile as he milks a cow / settles in on starting up this new business / Harsh on a local date.
– MADELINE (Antagonist) –
Beginning: Setting up some sort of small plan / task to get the fire going again. (i.e.: the first stimulus)
Turning Point: Calls Harsh and asks if it’s okay if she comes up a day early without her husband, and he says “yes.”
Midpoint: She feels comfortable enough to share how dry her life has felt and how she partly blames her marriage.
Turning Point 2: She tips her hat too much and Harsh realizes what she’s up to (i.e.: sussing out soulmate status w/ the “36 questions”), building to 5 mins of staring
Dilemma: Doubling down on an old bet (her husband) vs placing a new bet (on Harsh)
3rd Act Climax: Her husband arrives.
Ending: Chickening out and going back with her husband.
