Lois’ Dialogue 1+2
“What I learned doing this assignment is..I can extend arguments. This technique added a page to my short script. That’s a good thing, since it still needs more pages.

Lisa’s dialogue 1 & 2
What I learned doing this assignment is that I can show more about the show within the dialogue, so that’s what I did for this scene:
Before:
INT. RESTAURANT- DAY
ABIGAIL
These croquettes are amazing.
The SERVER walks by
ABIGAIL
Excuse me! Can I have a refill on this rosé?
SERVER
Absolutely.
Abigail smiles, flirtatiously at Ben.
BEN
So what do you say we head to my place after this?
ABIGAIL
That could be arranged. We didn’t talk about pricing yet, but I’m assuming money’s not an issue for you.
BEN
Excuse me?
ABIGAIL
Oh, you were thinking this is.. a date?
BEN
I was assuming so.
Abigail giggles.
ABIGAIL
Sorry, it’s just… I mean you’re a lot older, and I’m.. Well, you know.
BEN
A prostitute
ABIGAIL
Gosh, no. I’m an actor by trade. This is just what I do to pay the bills.
BEN
(To server) check, please!
ABIGAIL
Good idea. This was starting to get awkward.
AFTER:
INT. BEN’S OFFICE- DAY
BEN BERKWOOD (40’s-50’s) handsome, but aging with dad bod. He pressed a button on his phone to page his assistant.
BEN BERKWOOD
Hey doll, can you come to the office?
ABIGAIL
(O.C.) One sec.
Abigail (20s) extra attractive, walks in. Ben smiles mischeviously.
BEN BERKWOOD
Lock the door.
Abigail locks the door behind her and walks toward the desk. Ben meets her half way and they kiss. He begins taking off her clothes as he does, he brings her to the desk and sits her down on top of it. the continue making out until he is about to take off her bra. She grabs his hands to stop him.
ABIGAIL
Dr Berkwood…
BEN BERKWOOD
Call me Ben, baby.
He attempts to continue. She stops him again.
ABIGAIL
(uncomfortably) Ben. I think, maybe we should keep things professional.
BEN BERKWOOD
What’s the matter, baby? Don’t you like it?
ABIGAIL
(lying) I do…
Ben backs away from her, knowing she’s lying.
ABIGAIL
It’s just… I’m young still and you’re… um…. old.
BEN BERKWOOD
(deflated) I see.
ABIGAIL
I mean. If it was beneficial for me somehow…
BEN BERKWOOD
No thanks. I definitely wouldn’t pay for it with you.

Dialogue 1 & 2
Using these two components I was able to add depth into the scenes with only using dialogue.
eg: 1Attack/Counter Attack
I had the two sisters Tilly & Rosie arguing in a prison cell
eg: 2. Dialogue Delivers Character
I was able to add dialogue showing Elliot’s profile part that expressed his wealth/social position.
