Sharilyn’s Dialogue 1 + 2

What I learned doing this assignment is…If I listen close enough I can hear the actual/literal voice of the character and not the just the screenwriting “voice” everyone always talks about.

2. Select one of the scenes and give us a Before and After on how that changed the dialogue.

BEFORE:

The scene accomplished what it needed to cinematically but afterwards I feel like a layer was “peeled back, if you will, on who the character is at her core and why she opposes the protagonist.

AFTER

The scene is more fun.

3. Then take one lead character and check every line of their dialogue throughout the entire pilot to make sure it delivers something from their Character Profile.

4. Tell us how that improved the character’s dialogue.

Both the protagonist and FOIL character kinda sound the same. I had to fine tune the phrasing, like give the latter a catch phrase so you know it’s her talking and not the other. I know actors will pick on this.
