Lois Setting Up The Future
what I learned …nothing new – Hal already went over this in numerous previous lessons.
What are the key questions I’m going to include in the pilot?
What’s fun about being a skunk?
What’s dangerous about being a skunk?
What’s it like to be a pet? Even a loved pet?
How dangerous is Polly?
What is a Skunk Beauty Pageant?
Will Howland Mann Kill Meff? Owl vs Skunk?

Lisa setting up the Future
What I learned doing this assignment is that I already had some setups included in the pilot to add some mystery and intrigue for future episodes. I didn’t add anything because I didn’t want to reveal too much, but I did add some smaller reveals for the pilot and mystery for future episodes. This assignment was easier than I thought it would be.

Set Ups for Future Episodes,
I learned that I can always place more intrigue into the opening pilot. I am still working on the very opening teaser as I’m not 100% sure whether to add a scene that is in a future episode: eg: Harriet being confronted by Criminal Underworld Boss, who strongly suggests that she must perform a crime in order for her to be trusted. If I add this, then it would point more towards the bigger picture of Harriet becoming involved with crime.
I added a very small scene where someone was behind bushes watching the Molly House being raided.
I also added some intrigue that Rosie’s older sister Tilly was a “bad’un and cavorts with all sorts of criminal low life”
Then the very last scene I added: Rosie & Tilly being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon.

Griff’s Set-Ups for Future Episodes
What I learned: I already have the major trajectory of the future of the first season built into the pilot when two of the main characters disappear without explanation.
I am adding two supporting characters who will motivate future episodes; a migrant laborer who was helped by Marcey’s efforts (although she doesn’t know that) and a mysterious detective who is snooping around Marcey’s desert activities.
Other set-ups:
A. Mystery dad “out-there” somewhere.
B. Brad former band might get back together via a convention in Las Vegas.
C. Randy’s crush on Marcey, which is futile, but he is clueless.
D. Todd and Brad’s surrogate relationship.
E. Stephanie’s ambition to prove herself, similar to Randy’s.
F. The separation of the two brothers into foster homes.
