Megan Presents Non-Stop Intrigue
What I learned doing this assignment is…that it is important that every single line in my TV Pitch Bible be at optimum levels to intrigue a reader. The first time I read over my Pitch Bible, I underlined every sentence that seemed dull or cliche. The most glaring holes I noticed were in the Episode 1 descriptions. Many of these read more like summaries than pitches and included a little too much B and C storyline. I created a document just for my Pitch Bible cuts (in case I needed the information in the future) and began to cut back on the descriptions, trying to focus on hook, character journey, and cliffhanger. I know these are still in rough draft form, but they seem to read a little better now.
My plan is to go through multiple more read-throughs like this one.

What we learned doing this assignment was there is a lot of fluff and filler still in our bible. Going through line by line is tedious but necessary. We still have work to do on our bible but it’s becoming way more focused and intriguing.

What I Iearned doing this assignment is…I’m never done writing. It’s not over.
I’m no where near elevating to the level I want this to be. Just be patient with me. I’ll get’er done.

Tom Presents Non-Stop Intrigue
After printing out and going through all the work line-by-line, in addition to some “less than intriguing” writing, I observed that there were multiple descriptions that were essentially duplicates. Effort was made to put a unique spin on overlapping material such as episode one and season one descriptions. Also, there was a significant development in one of my main characters that emerged recently and required elements to be updated. Overall, while this process was helpful, it was also very cumbersome. I still don’t feel like I completed the objective of utilizing the methods enlisted for intrigue optimally, but the project has become incrementally stronger.
