I’m Cat Miggs. I’m currently working on 3 scripts. I’m hoping to improve all the scripts to be binge worthy. I am a SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) Survivor so I’m here to make the best of my second life! ❤😃

Hi, I’m Barbara Butler. I’m delighted to find the class. I have a producer attached who wants me to take a trilogy I’ve written & turn it into a Streamer. Not having a clue as to the rules & remedies to accomplish that, I’m anxious to get started. Addendum: I wrote the above on Sun. & missed a few categories. OOPS!

I’ve worked in the Biz @ Paramount Pictures; Summit Entertainment; Red Granite; Showtime; & Lionsgate.

    I’ve written 12 Screenplays.

I look forward to absorbing everything this class has to offer & I wish us all great success as a result of our new found knowledge! 🙃

    Hi Everyone,

    Pauline Gray here.

    I estimate that I’ve written about 20+scripts??

I hope to get an amazing pilot and to meet some wonderful writers, as well.

A little something about me, I love learning languages.

Hi everyone, I am Neil Werenskjold. I’ve got two scripts written but ready for overhaul. I want good direction so I can produce something that producers will see as marketable. I am retired Air Force, married 51 years, spirited, I get the job done, come hell or high water, or today high snow. I live in Utah, but we are selling and moving to the hill country north of San Antonio, Texas, to be with our great grands, and family down there.

Hi, Jan Fantl here, I currently reside in Berlin and Prague, right in the heart of Europe. I have a background in television episode writing, having produced several successful TV shows. Although I have not yet written a produced theatrical script, I have experience in directing for German TV, which eventually led me to producing. I worked in LA for a ten years as a film funds manager and producer, and after 52 theatrical movies and several decades in the industry, I am ready to return forward to a new challenge.

Having advised countless writers on their scripts, I have decided to take on the challenge and experience to develop my own “stuff”, perhaps even taking an action-thriller drama to the midst of Europe. As the industry moves towards binge-watching, I believe that my experience and knowledge will help me create an engaging and successful story.

I am excited to hone my skills and learn new techniques by joining this boot camp. I am ready to work hard, experience both pain and joy, and collaborate with you fellow writers to produce exceptional content.

Hey All – Bobby Sacher here: have taken MSC 4, and a bunch of other SU classes…

    I’ve written 8 scripts

I hope to be able to show the producers I’m currently working with, and am about to sign a deal to develop a TV concept of theirs on spec, that I know what the hell I’m doing! (all my experience thus far is with movie scripts)

Something strange? Um… I have no sense of smell! There’s that. Once fell into the pool outside the Washington Monument (it was college, okay?), that’s unusual. I guess it’s special (sort of) that I teach 7th grade ELA (for now), so I’m always urging kids to not make the writing mistakes I’m constantly trying not to make myself (keeps me honest).

    Can’t wait to get started!

    Call me KZ.

I’ve written numerous plays and screenplays, but I never stopped to count them, and truth be told, many could use a re-write. This year, I pulled an old script out of a drawer, dusted it off and sent it to the Atlanta Film Festival, and it made it as far as quarterfinalist. In 2016, a short film adapted from a play of mine won Best Comedy Short at Worldfest Houston.

I was working on a new screenplay, and a little voice kept nagging at me, telling me it was a TV series. So I hope to use that idea as source material to create a binge-worthy series.

Something unique? I graduated (in Houston, TX) from the High School for Performing and Visual Arts… but in visual art. I didn’t start writing plays until after graduation, when I moved to New York City.

    Hi,

A bit late to the group as I was accidentally placed in the wrong group and it took a bit to sort out. So, playing catch-up here now.

I’ve written approx 17 scripts (features, pilots, new media). Although I’ve developed and written 5 pilots (and bibles) previously, I know Hal always has some amazing insights and methods to the madness worth learning. So, I’m here to see what new and exciting steps I can add to my process.

Unique, special, strange or unusual… I escaped to New Zealand during Covid (after the original strain tried to kill me) and am currently sitting here, in paradise. Love NZ so much! However, I do still go back and forth to L.A. and will actually be on a plane there, once again, next week.

    Hi Everyone,

I’ve written 11 scripts in various formats (feature, stage play, web series, short, pilot). I’ve also done a page-one rewrite of an action thriller for a production company.

I took this class waaaaay back when it was Bingeworthy 4. I’m excited to see all the new bits and how Hal has evolved things over the years. I have said this many times: I believe this Bingeworthy program is the best work Hal has done. I’ve been in MSC and other classes, as well.

Something unique about me: after about 30 seconds with me in the same room, you’ll realize I have Tourette’s syndrome. It’s unusual, it can be a real pain in the ass, but it can also provide some hilarious moments, too. So if you hear me yell, “FUCK” I’m not yelling at you, I’m yelling toward you. Hopefully, anyway!

    Looking forward to working together.

Hello. My name is Chanda Haynes. I have written about 3 completed scripts and several incomplete ones. I hope in this class I can rewrite my first pilot tv draft and craft a more cohesive story. I also want to gain skills that I can reuse in the future. Something special about me is that I am the life of any party. I am pretty damn funny and can control the mood in any setting. You won’t have a bad time around me.

Hi! I’m Wendy Jackson and I have written 9 screenplays. One will air on Hallmark Network this August 2023. I hope to get a better grasp on writing compelling series for television. I’ve written several pilots and they are ok but after watching Succession and White Lotus, I’m like…OK…This is NEXT LEVEL writing and I aspire to be as good or better than these titans of content.

I’m also a documentary filmmaker and that’s a lot easier for me than scripted. I approach writing as something I do a little every day and taking classes from ScreenwritingU has amplified my ability to create deeply flawed and nuanced characters.
