    Hello!

    1. Julie

    2. I’ve written one script (and rewritten it 1000 times haha)

    3. I hope to get some confidence and writing strategies

    4. Nothing too unique or special about me, but I am pretty good at reading a room, which is good and bad!

I hope you all get what you need from this class –

I’m Rhonda Burnaugh. I’ve written 4 screenplays based on novels I have self-published. My main focus has been on 2 of scripts, which I believe have the best potential of success. However, I seem to never get above an honorable mention or semi-finalist in contests. Clearly, I need to elevate my writing skills. Recently, I retired from working as a psychiatric nurse and moved to Clearwater, Florida. Glad to be here!

hello fellow writers, I’m Judy Abingdon, A European-born American, currently living in Spain.

I have written 2 1/2 scripts and some tv series episodes.

I have been having some success in contests as well and want to kick it up a notch.

I know I can make my scripts better and I really want them to shine.

I like to focus on women’s centered projects so I would like these stories to see the light of day, on the big screen.

I took the Write Your Screenplay in 30 Days course and I believe Hal has a lot of wisdom to pass on, so I am back to soak it up!

    Good luck to us all.

    Hello everyone,

My name is Katherine and I have written one script.

What I hope to get out of this class is how to rewrite it to make it presentable/marketable.

The only unique thing about me is I am a senior and retiree looking to carve a way into the business at this late stage.

Hello, I’m Birgit Keil (beer-git kyle)

I’ve written one sitcom pilot script. But have many rough drafts and premises.

An adult animated series premise came thisclose to being optioned but would have been a good idea to have an agent. That’s why I’m now a graduate of the Entertainment Business School. For this course my goal is to get it right the first time then apply all my learnings to the rest of my library.

I’ve have written children’s book manuscripts and am beginning querying literary agents. Once published, the hope is to take those books and create animated series.

My background as a creative director/Art Director on one of the world’s largest advertising accounts brings in another perspective to visualization, creation, and production.

My brand champions vulnerable but tenacious underdogs.

    Hi – Tita Anntares

I’ve written four full length stage plays (three of them contest winners but so far no productions except Zoom staged readings during the covid shutdown), two film scripts for SU courses, several short stage plays. I hope this course will help me revise a stage play and maybe draft a film script version it. And also rewrite from scratch the play I wrote for the 30-Day course. I had to take a pen name (Anntares) after writing one play about a young Saudi falsely accused of raping, torturing and beating an American man.

I’ve taken many SU courses and PS50 and MSC4 certifications but I am writing stage plays not films. After I completed PS50 and returned to a stage play course led by a playwright, everyone was praising me for writing with so much more action, less exposition. I didn’t have the heart to tell them it wasn’t my work in their workshop, it was the Croasmun’s ScreenwritingU.

Something unique? My day jobs have included putting on corporate drag to design/develop sales and management training programs for major Pharma and finance firms AND putting on hand puppets to write, produce and perform in my puppet company for street fairs, museums, children’s hospitals, etc. I’ve quit both to take lighter consulting gigs and make more time for writing plays.

    Hi,

My name is ZhiMin. I’m an independent filmmaker in Toronto. I have written and directed seven short films and one feature documentary. I wrote two feature fictions scripts, one is optioned and the other one is in development.

We have a writer come in to touch up the script, but it didn’t work out. So, I have to do the re-writing. The first assignment already throw me into a deep hole and I’m trying to climb out of it. It’s amazing. This is the class that I really need at this stage of my development. More challenge means more learning and more clarity as a writer and director.

My goal is to become a director so I have to make three best debut films to set up my base. Script is essential. Please feel free to comment on my assignment, That only helps me to grow as a filmmaker and a person.

    Thanks.

    Good afternoon,

I’m J.R. Ritchie aka Jan. Just realized I didn’t check in here.

It is exciting to understand all the possibilities in creating a rewrite. Several scripts sit, await the challenge of moving out of my ‘normal writing box’ – and being more disciplined to change. Unique and unusual about me – I can’t answer that in this short space and time, as family and friends have always said that “you’re a little different” in a complimentary, but wierd fashion. I’ll leave it at that, and focus on how to improve my writing.

    Hello Friends,

My name is Joseph L. Edwards. I live in Tucson Arizona, and I have been a playwright longer than a screenwriter. I have written about 5 screenplays. I hope to gain more techniques from this class that will make me a more professional writer. Something unique about me is that I am also an actor.

    Wishing us all great success!
