Hi,
I’m Bob, and I’ve written four scripts. What I hope to gain, a sharpening of my skills. Weird factor? So much to choose from. I live in three countries, how’s that?
Looking forward to it. 😀

Hi, I’m Pam.
I’ve written 2 scripts, both are in progress. I’m hoping to improve my action scenes in my Comedy/Thriller, TANGLED UP, and really ramp up the chase and fight scenes. I’m not sure it qualifies as an Action movie… but we’ll see.
Something unique about me? I’ve been a graphic designer for over 25 years.

Hello – I’m Deb,
I’ve written about seven scripts.
Like most people, I’ve seen my share of action movies, but have suspended my disbelief and watched them for their entertainment value. I never took the time to understand the structure and what makes them work. I hope to learn this. I am also looking to elevate an action/adventure comedy I’m currently in the process of writing. And I’m going to begin an action script that’s been rolling around in my head for a few years.
Unusual: I “play” the organ at my church with the help of some pre-recorded music and some old-school floppy discs.
Looking forward to a great class!

My name is Ron Berti. I am the son of a radioman first class on PT528, who served in the Solomon Islands in 1943. This will be my second attempt at creating my first script. The first attempt was the Screenwriting U course on “write your script in 30 days” and while what came out the end of that was unremarkable, I learned a lot.
As a writer of a war movie, I hope to understand the genre well enough to create a compelling story. There has only been one movie made about the PT boats, that was They Were Expendable, a B&W movie made in the late 40s starring John Wayne. It wasn’t a very good movie although I think the soundtrack won an Oscar. I don’t count PT109 because that really wasn’t about the boats, it was about JFK. And I don’t count McHale’s Navy at all.
Basically, you had to be a little bit crazy to serve on those boats. They were fast (~45 knots) and did their work at night (“stealth”) but their torpedoes were TERRIBLE, so the odds of a successful takedown of a Japanese destroyer were lousy. And the boats weren’t armored, they were made from WOOD. A good round into the gas tank (110 octane avgas) would have blown the entire boat out of the water. But men went anyway, the junior officers looking for command opportunities, even on on 80′ wooden boat, and the enlisted doing their duty.
My goal is to tell those stories, to remind Americans what its young men did during WWII that saved the world from autocracy.

4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
I believe in the ancient alien theory!😆

Hello all!
My name is Courtney. I’ve written one and a half scripts, haha. The 1/2 script I’ve written is action, and I hope to learn more on this genre to write a great story. I’m one belt away from being a black belt.

Hi. My name is Emily, I’m from Iran and now I live in Germany.
I’ve written a couple of features, 5 teleplays, and several shorts.
I enrolled in this class because I love good action films but I found it difficult to write action-packed sequences for my scripts, and I’m looking forward to creating better action scripts.Something special… I just graduated and received my MA in Serial Storytelling (writing for TV series) last week :))
