Hi everyone,
I’m Rob Cain. I’m currently finishing up my 9th script, 2 of which are TV pilots and the rest–including the current one–are features.
My goal for this class is to take my current script out to the market, as soon as I feel it’s bulletproof, and get it set up for production in 2024.
One thing that’s unique about me is that while doing research for my first screenplay, a story about the 1960s Space Race between the U.S. and the USSR, I sneaked into a Russian military base and was caught and arrested at gunpoint on my way out. No more of those situations for me, thank you!

Hi! My name is Wynona, residing in Hawaii. I have written around six scripts. Hopefully this class will help open connections. Something unusual—our houses are almost always haunted.🙃

Good evening everyone.
My name is David Wickenden.
I have one TV Pilot and 5 feature scripts, with another one on the way. I am also an author of 7 novels; 6 thrillers and one YA Fantasy. My scripts are adaptations of my novels, although I have one near completion that I began in Hal’s thriller course.
I am hoping to learn how to market my TV Pilot, which went through the Binge Worthy course. TV Bible is ready to go. I just need to learn how to present it in the different pitch formats.
Something unique? 31 years with the Fire Service retiring as Deputy Fire Chief to write full time.

Hi guys!
1) My name is Tricia Tribble and currently reside in Reno, NV.
2) I have written three trash scripts, which I value as part of my learning process. But seriously I have three close-to-marketable scripts, two shorts and one TV pilot script.
3) Most of my focus has been learning how to write. It is time to move to the next stage. I am not very good at marketing myself, although can market other people and projects with ease. I need this.
4) We all my look normal, but at the same time are full of weird and wonders. Hum. I am an award-winning jewelry artist and costumer (workmanship) using an ancient Egyptian jewelry-making as my signature technique.

Hi there,
My name is Tasha. I’ve written 3 feature length scripts.
I hope to master the 4 Great Pitches.
Something different about me is I was once grabbed by a ghost…at least I hope it was a ghost.

Hi Everyone, my name is Sheila Rinear. Glad to be onboard with you all.
Until a few years ago, my writing genre was primarily playwriting. I’ve written over 30 play scripts most of which are full-length [some even award-winning], an opera, a children’s musical and I’ve had over 60 productions. I wrote these while teaching theatre and directing but a few years ago I turned to the challenge I finally dared to face: feature-length scripts (I’ve written 3) and TV pilots (I’ve written 3).
I’m obviously obsessed with writing but need to be better prepared to sell my screenplays and pilots which have all placed in contests. I kind of lose my nerve when it comes to knowing the best way to present my work. There are so many suggestions online and everywhere today that it gets intensely confusing. The way Hal laid it out how this class would go, I’m really hoping to be ready to present and sell my work. (no pressure, Hal)
I don’t feel very unique but my writing has kept me aware of who I am and how much I love to write stories about people overcoming life’s challenges and injustices and I can do that with comic as well as historic stories. I think history can be humorous. Maybe that’s a unique perspective?
Okay. Onto the pathway to success for all of us!
Best,
sheila rinear

Hello! My Name is Deb Johnson
I’ve written about seven scripts. I have two polished scripts that are ready for marketing and I hope to learn how to get these scripts to the right people.
In addition to homeschooling my two children, I care for my mother and a sister who has cognitive disabilities. It’s always a busy day around here!

Hello Deb!
Started the class late, there was some confusion as to when the start date was and what my availability to actively engage in the class. I’m now able to engage and hope to catch up before the end of the class. Hope you are doing well.

Deb:
Yes, finally online with the class on Monday, Oct.2. Even though I am behind the class, figure I will complete the lessons by early next week, will you consider exchanging material for feedback on lesson 10, even though you have completed the class ahead of me?
-
Sure thing – just let me know when you’re ready- no rush.
-
Thank you. It should be sometime early to mid-week the second week in October.

I’m Richard Pierre, a writer-director based in Toronto, Canada, though born in sunny California.
Thus far, I’ve crafted 18 features and I’ve been optioned once.
My hope is to learn how to market the hell out of my existing ideas before picking up the pen to write anything new. I’m excited to laser in on the right companies to take my career to the next level.
In terms of what may be unique about me, I’m a mixed-race filmmaker who’s made over a dozen award-winning shorts that have been screened at the St. Louis International Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Yorkton Film Festival, and over 100 other film festivals worldwide. I just finished directing 20 episodes of a true-crime TV series which airs on BET+ and Paramount+.

Hi, I’m Archer
Written about 4 scripts-TV Pilots and one feature. Perpetually rewriting them so I decided to take this class to see what’s possible when I finish… 😋 The AI tools have been so helpful to take my big ball of notes and start to organize so a final rewrite is actually in the works!
I write dramedy/crime—
Look forward to the process.

Hi,
My name is Monica Arisman. I’ve written about 7 scripts and 1 tv pilot.
I will be successful marketing my human trafficking script which I have been working on for a couple of years.
Something unique? I spent a long time working in the oil and gas industry and now work at writing!
Cheers,

Hi Everyone,
I’m Lin Fuentes. I’ve written and rewritten multiple times 2 screenplays as I try to learn this craft I’ve become addicted to called script writing. Screenwriting U has been and remains instrumental in my learning. I have many ideas, but want to focus on learning from trying different things on these two screenplays to enhance my deeper understanding of writing great screenplays that are entertaining and marketable.
My hope for this course is to learn a new skill set that will attract producers to my scripts.
I have a knack for finding the slowest line at the supermarket.
-
Hi, my name is Linda Anderson.
I’ve written 4 scripts.
My latest script has gone through many drafts with coverage and every day, learning new ways to improve it. I hope to pull together marketing materials that will launch the filmmaking and help me get the script to people who share its vision.
I wrote a series of books about animals and people loving and healing each other.

My name is Pam Price. I’ve written eight Feature Length Screenplays and four TV Pilots. I hope to learn strategies about attracting a manager. Something unique about me is I write projects that have animation-style music videos embedded in the scripts. I make the videos myself, writing the songs and doing the animations. You can see my work by GOOGLING “Pam Price Baby Boomers Can Dance” or by going onto YouTube and doing a word search for “Pam Price Molasses Foxtrot”. I am also on IMDb at “Pamela Price (V), Writer; Animation Department; Composer”. Thank you.
-
My name is Terrell Harris. Nicknames Tashi or just T.
I’ve written 3 feature length scripts.
I had a major stroke in 2016 that I’m still covering from. The last script I wrote I treated like brain therapy and I managed to complete it, after learning how to spell again starting over with 3 letter words. I typed with one hand and dictation software. So if my English is a little wonky, please forgive me.
That screenplay won a quarter finalist award, thanks to Hal’s Profound Screenplay class.
Figured is time to address something that terrifies me, the business end of screenwriting, so here I am.

Hi! I’m Liz Janzen. I live in Manitoba, Canada.
I’ve written 7 screenplays. I’m profoundly bad at pitching and if I can develop any skills at all in this area through this class I will be thrilled.
My professional background has been an odd combination of film and broadcasting. More recently I’ve had the opportunity to write scripts for four true crime docudrama series.
Unusual thing: I attended the same high school as Joni Mitchell did in her youth in Saskatoon, SK.

Good afternoon everyone.
My name is Bob Kerr.
I have written four scripts and am in a negotiation for one of them.
I hope to develop skills that will get me past initial interest and get a script sold.
I started my fascination with the film industry back in the 90’s when I was an extra working in Denver. I learned a lot about the industry and the focus on time and money.
