I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.
To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

Hello everyone! My name is Mary Emmick. I’ve written one script and have started a second one. I hope to gain insights into what makes great scenes and how to improve my existing scenes. Something unique about me: I enjoy gardening and during COVID I had time to focus, and I wrote and published a book: A Year in the Garden: A Month-by-Month View into my Pacific Northwest Garden.

Hello! I’m Deborah and I’ve written about 10 scripts. I hope to elevate my writing by learning all I can about creating, developing, and enhancing scenes that will make my scripts the best they can be. Something strange about me is that, while all my life I’ve been a “two-creamer,” I just started drinking black coffee.
Looking forward to a great class!!!

Hello,
My name is Isti Madarasz, I live in Budapest, Hungary in Europe.
I’ve written 3 scripts and did rewrites on some more since I’m a director and I like to shape scripts to my own taste.
I’m working on a new project (actually two) which I would love to make in English and start an international career. I know how Hungarian film industry works but it’s time to learn new things.
Unfortunately, English is not my mother tongue, so writing a script in English is already a challenge, but I love to learn and I expect this course to give me a little bit of a taste of the international environment. Plus, I live in a completely different time zone than you, so I might log in at odd times
And finally: my name is actually Madarász Isti, but in Hungarian languange we use the first and last names in reverse order.

Hi, everyone! My name is Sakura “Suki” Jimenez. I’ve written 3-4 short scripts and 2 feature-lenght scripts (all in college approximately 15 years ago). Currently, I’m starting a third re-write of a pilot episode script. I’m re-outlining the story and will be rewriting the script from scratch. I’m hoping to write better scenes in this 3rd rewrite. I am a musician and play a 13-stringed Japanese zither instrument.
