Posted by cheryl croasmun on April 1, 2024 at 7:40 pmHi everyone,
I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.
To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

My Name is Moses Quainoo
Yesterday, 01/04/24, I was looking to introduce myself at Writing Incredible Movies with AI and sign the confidentiality agreement.
I see WIM 9 – Where am I? Can someone please tell me where I am?
Today, 02/04/24, I successfully logged into Writing Incredible Movies with AI, watched the video, and want to sign the confidentiality agreement.
Am I in the right place?

My name is Michael Fitzer.
I have written three feature scripts and one short.
From the class I’m hoping to get a better grasp on how to navigate the business side of writing (as well as improve my overall skill as a writer).
I have worked in the film industry for nearly 30 years, first as a camera assistant, operator and for the last 15 years as a cinematographer. My work has appeared theatrically as well as on Apple iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, PBS, the Doc Channel and more. I am also currently working on my MFA in creative writing.

My name is William Southwell
My goal is to finish one screen play which I have struggled with for years. This course will hopefully take me through all aspects and at the end I will have it finished.
I am a retired physicist.

Hi everyone!
I had a late start to the class due to technical difficulties. I find most technology difficult. 😉
I’ve only written one script in college. It didn’t go anywhere, but I had a play produced and two novels published.
It’s my intention to learn the craft of screenwriting, and I’m excited to embrace this area in which I’ve never seriously ventured.
I think I’m a natural born writer. I have been creating stories since I was 3 years old after reading my first romance, “Go, Dog. Go!” Two dogs drive off into the sunset at the end of the story, and I made up possible different endings. I wrote my first story when I was six years old. Although I didn’t start writing (and editing) professionally until I was much older, writing has always been my calling and passion in life.
I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hey I’m Susan.
I’ve finished one full length screenplay, and a number of short screenplays.
I plan to finish a brand new screenplay that is wonderful, surprising, professional, and industry ready.
Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
I have a degree in computer science (it’s old like I am), I’m an armchair physicist and have my own theory of everything, and I have some “super” senses… hearing, tasting, smelling (each of which can be useful as well as problematic).

Hi everyone! I’m late to the party because I was sending assignments to the concepts email! Happy to meet all of you. I’m a playwright pretty new to screenwriting. My first feature DEATH IN THE CUL-DE-SAC is due out soon but I really like writing romcoms.

Is the forum open to start submitting work for Module 2?
I tried copying and pasting the forum address listed in Mod 2 Lesson 1 and it won’t connect. It just times out.
Thanks.

Support hasn’t responded and I’ve stopped receiving assignment emails. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on?
-
How long since you contacted support? I haven’t noticed anything except that the forum only has the confidentiality agreement and the intro. I’m not quite up to Module 2. Are we supposed to post something then?
-
I started on Module 2 about 5 days ago. I assume I’m a little ahead and maybe that is the problem however, I stopped receiving emails re: new assignments. They were coming nearly every day and now… nothing for the last 5 days.
I contacted Support on Saturday and then again today. For now I’ll assume this is operator (me) error. If I hear anything from them I’ll let you know.-
You can see the assignments in the class itself, so that’s not a problem. I never receive the emails at all. Just go to your classes and go to WIM and go to the assignments. If you can’t move forward make sure you click the Mark Complete button on each assignment until you get to the one you’re up to so you can move on to the next one. I’m sure they’re really busy right now, so it may take a few days to get back to you. i’m pretty sure CS doesn’t work on the weekends.
-
Hey Susan,
Yeah, I’m following all those protocols, clicking complete, etc. I received a new assignment email this morning with a link to the forums. Still doesn’t work. I’m not going to sweat it too much since I believe I’m ahead by a few assignments but I do hope this gets rectified.
Talk soon!

I just checked the the module 2 forum is up now, just scroll down the page to find it.

Thank you Susan. I posted Mod 2 Lesson 1 yesterday… I think. I had to post it as a reply to the first posting. Couldn’t find any other way to do it.
