Introduce Yourself to the Group
Posted by cheryl croasmun on June 10, 2024 at 6:56 pmHi everyone,
I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.
To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!dave korr replied 11 months, 4 weeks ago 5 Members · 4 Replies -

HI there, I'm Molly Lord, joining you from Colorado. I've written two scripts in this grand lifetime. Pitched only once at a Las Vegas producers convention years back.
I've had this idea for a TV script brewing for 24 years. Yep. 24. It first stirred back in 1999- during the crazy Y2K time period, but collected dust on the shelf with the 1,000 rolls of toilet paper, batteries, and canned beans. You can maybe understand why it came alive for me once again in 2020. And it won't let me go. Perfect timing for this class.
Something about myself… how about this. Today I pushed SEND to my publisher on my first-ever (and likely last) memoir about walking the 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain in 2019. I'll be editing that while tackling this screenplay with all of you. (is there an "all" out there?)
My secret hope is to write something that stirs and messes with viewers minds, in a way that causes conversations and stirs a question over a beer –similar to how we sat around the teacher’s lounge back in the day after going to see the movie, Cocoon. The question that rolled off everyone’s tongue…. “Would you go?”
Looking forward.-

1. Name? Tom P.
2. How many scripts you’ve written? I have written one script which I entered into a handful of contests many years ago, it was selected as a quarterfinalist (or something like that) in the Blue Cat Screenwriting competition. I have previously written 20 or so sketch comedy plays that were produced by a local acting group. I've taken a handful of screenwriting classes over the years.
3. What you hope to get out of the class? Learn the science, technique, intricacies, and ultimately, the ins and outs of analyzing, preparing, drafting, writing, re-writing, and finishing teleplay/scripts that are binge-able shows, which appeal to streaming services, broad audiences and maybe critics.
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you? I have a book coming out in about 2 weeks (June 25th launch date), self-published. I don't want to distract from this class and project, but if anyone is interested in further details, please let me know.
I am looking forward to this class.
By the way, while my posts going forward may be late, all homework is and will be done by the deadlines. I just don't want to post crap if the quality is questionable. Thanks!

1. Name?
Seth Kuhn
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3 – 1 of which I produced, directed, and acted in after college. Another made it to the 2nd Round of the Austin Film Festival and also won a Silver Lei Award and the Honolulu Film Awards : )
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
I hope to have a process for developing television shows using AI that are undeniably excellent & entertaining…that get snatched up by producers and streamers.
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
In Portland, ME (where I live), I recently played Phillip Lombard in Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.” I also quit my corporate job of 7 years at the end of 2023 and am focusing on getting scripts written, so I can push on getting them made! -
Hi thems! I’m Dave Korr. I’ve written 4 comedy screenplays. I’m currently putting the finishing touches on my 8-episode serial action sitcom called SHARK STANK and have already used the first BWTV lesson to dramatically increase intrigue in the pilot and will soon intrigue-up the other 7 episodes. I have scuba-dived through a school of 50 circling barracudas, though admittedly I was luded out.
