I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.

    Tell us the following:
    1. Hi, All! I’m Susan Arnout Smith
    2. I’ve written four movies for TV that have all been produced and aired in the US and also in other countries. One was a finalist for a Pen-West. I’ve written several plays, some of which have won national awards and been produced. I’ve written a screenplay based on a true story to which I have the option agreement rights to market as a screenplay. It’s won the Grand Prize, International Faith in Film Screenwriting Award.
    3. My intentions are: 1. To get caught up with the class so I’m participating in real time. 2. To finish this class strong by doing each assignment full-out, 3. to get my screenplay optioned and on its way to being produced, 4. To use every scrap of what I learn as fuel going forward.
    4. I’m aggressively pursuing what I call “Radical Self-Care”. It involves Mind/Body/Spirit practices daily. I’ve had ocular proof that my practices are working: I just completed a workup by the Mayo Clinic that shows that my biological age is almost two decades younger than my chronological age, that my hearing is perfect (astounding the specialist who literally called in ‘incredible’, and ‘something he rarely sees in people half my age’, and have had a complete set of tests which state flatly I have a less than 1% chance of getting 50 different kinds of cancers. Knowing these things, I’ve shifted out of believing the lie I had told myself: that my ‘time had come and gone’ and shifted into a state of joy, enthusiasm, boundless energy and bravery.
I am looking forward to working with you all, supporting this group in our journey, and doing brilliant work that can light up the world.

    1. Hi! My name is… Marlon Jones.
    2. I have written several scripts… feature film scripts and television scripts. I have two produced ultra-low budget feature film scripts under my belt and hopefully I will write many more viable scripts as I continue to hone my craft.
    3. I am hoping to learn which decisions will help me create a project that will appeal to many people,, provide quality entertainment, and teach lessons based on my unique life experiences. Learning the new requirements for the series Bible is also very important to me.
    4. My wife and I have 7 kids (2 -21 year olds, 2 – 19 year olds, a 17 year old, an 11 year old, and an 8 year old).

I look forward to working with the group.

    Hi everyone,
    I’m Matt Ferro.
I’ve co-written one produced online series and several un-produced (and un-submitted) first-draft shorts and tv pilots.
I hope to gain greater depth in the underlying dynamics of successful TV series, and how to utilize AI as a partner of sorts.
I have been a multifaceted entertainment professional with many different careers over my lifetime. Somehow, the writer and director in me always stepped aside to produce because I COULD. I’m trying to focus more on writing now know that this course will help me be both a better writer, with more confidence, and also a better producer.

    2. How many scripts you’ve written?
    3. What you hope to get out of the class?
    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

    Hello everyone, I’m a writer-director Bryan Ko.

I was born in the United States and grew up in Taiwan. After receiving formal training at a film school in Taiwan, I spent 8 years directing and producing short films, music videos, and commercials with my production company in Taiwan. Last year, I moved to Los Angeles where I worked on two feature-length documentaries as editor, and this year, I am expanding my career in New York.

I’ve written 1 feature script, 5 short film script. My works often explore reflections on personal growth, and I strive to incorporate elements of Eastern culture and spiritual cultivation into my writing and visual storytelling. Through this course, I hope to learn how to craft compelling scripts that captivate audiences, and I look forward to meeting like-minded creative partners.

    Hi everyone,
Must apologise for my absence, but a situation has arisen which will keep me from participating in the class in real time. I willl have to do the assignments on my own. My apologies from dropping out. I would have loved to been supported by the group and offer my support as well. May you all have a great experience taking this amazing course together!
    My best,
    Matt

    Tell us the following:

    1. Name? Barbara Foxx and hello, life got in the way so I am about a month late to the party.
    2. How many scripts you’ve written? I have written over 20 scripts. Had about 15 produced; mostly TV Movies in the thriller genre. II have worked on 2 series, but they have not been produced and maybe now, I will revive them. I definitely feel this is an area I need to improve in.
    3. What you hope to get out of the class? To keep honing in on the craft of writing. I always feel we can get better and better and with the aid of AI, perhaps surprise ourselves with creation beyond what we have previously achieved. I feel AI will be the ‘two heads are better than one’ vibe. I often write with a partner and find we work well off each other. Wondering if AI will be even better.
    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you? I am an identical twin. She is also a writer but of books.

We look forward to working with you all!
