Good morning, beautiful souls.
My name is John Zarzar.
I’ve written one script – currently in editing phase. What I would like to get from this class is to write faster scripts – not years from the spark of creation.
My mind goes to imaginary worlds while performing accounting tasks.

Hi, I’m Jan. I’ve written two scripts for PageAwards competitions. They give great feedback, but I want to learn more and do better. The thing I want to give up is perfection and work on speed – the main reason I want this class. Hmm…What is unique about me? I can twist my tongue 360* and I also see faces when I close my eyes. They appear very clearly and morph very quickly into other faces. No, I am not crazy. I don’t hear voices. I just see faces when I close my eyes. I like to attribute that to my great imagination and the fact that I like people. Maybe it simply means I am supposed to focus on portrait paintings with my watercolors. I love that medium and paint as often as I can. I am looking forward to this class.

Hi Everyone,
I’m a little late getting started but I’ve never written a screenplay. I’m creative and work in a creative field but I’ve never actually written a screenplay.
My hope is to write a screenplay which I’ve had the idea for a while. I’m pretty excited about the idea and I’ve written things down so far, but I think in it’s current form, it’s just an idea and there is not yet a solid structure or story arc. So, I’m excited to dive in and see the story and concept take shape.
Something unique about me? I work in advertising. I create ads. I’ve had the honor to work with some of the most creative minds in the world but I still want to create stories outside of ads that are strictly entertaining and not to sell anything.

Hello! I’m Sharlanne. I’ve attempted but never completed a screenplay. I tend to get stuck and then distracted! I am here to get some tools so i can stick with the writing process and finally finish! Nice to meet you all.

My name is Kenneth Johnson, an L.A. native working in television here in Hollywood. I have written eight feature scripts, with two produced some years ago. What I hope to get out of this class is to force myself into completing a script I’ve been meaning to write. Lately, I have to concentrate on writing and producing commercials and promos (to pay the mortgage and buy food), which takes so much of my time when I’d rather be doing features. A unique thing about me is that I run marathons for a hobby and as an excuse to travel, with over 60 marathons completed. I am running the Antarctica Marathon at the end of March.

Hi all, nice to meet everyone, my name is Ayesha.
After a couple starts and stops, maybe I’ve written between 0 and 1/4 scripts at best. Hoping to learn how to map out and know where the story is going, along with follow tips to get words on the page faster. I flunked high-school English, but went into journalism for several years. -
Hi Everyone, my name is Michael. What I hope to get out of this class is to learn a technique to complete drafts of scripts without getting bogged down before the draft is completed. One thing which is unusual about me is that I live and work in the Middle East (Qatar) but I grew up in Papua New Guinea. My chosen genre for script writing is comedy.

Hi,
I’m Karen and I’ve written 2 scripts. I would like to write faster as well, but I wish to strengthen my characters by making them intriguing and multi-dimensional. I just spent the last 5 years completing an online Masters degree and won a high achievement award for the program. But my first love is writing screenplays.
