I’m Susan Schoenthal from Denver, Colorado
I’ve completed 2 scripts and am working on others as well. My focus is on Western places and themes.
What I’d like to get out of the class is to learn build better characters, write and outline faster, and learn the best way to market scripts to producers and others.
I love to play games and have a job where I play bridge, Mahjong and other games. That’s what I love about screenwriting too, it’s like a giant puzzle where you put all the disjointed pieces together to make a beautiful picture. -
Gerry Yukevich – pen name Ivan Cox author website ivancox.com
I live on Martha’s Vineyard, work part time as physician.
Two published novels: Cruise Ship Doctor and Blood Pudding, Confessions of an Immigrant Boy, Pittsburgh 1920
Also two award winning screenplays (but no options, alas!): Death Dose – murder mystery set on Martha’s Vineyard and Mudpuppy and The Scout, a Tale of Baseball and Lynching.
My goal is to create a TV mini-series for Blood Pudding -
Hi Susan and Gerry. My name is Edward, but I go by Ted – a nickname from my mom when I was one.
Apologies for my late arrival into this class.
I've completed 3 scripts, and one needs to be revamped for streaming – the main reason for this particular course.
I run a theater & film non-profit and want to help my students (and myself) see that progress in the industry is possible. I suppose it's my way of writing myself up to the next level.
Unique about me…I've taught theatre and film full-time for 25 years at the university level, and have decided to graduate from college this May! I've chosen early retirement so I can focus on screenwriting, and on my three girls (all 8 years and under).
I regret the need to do the class privately because of my schedule, and an NDA in place for the project I’m working on.-

GREETINGS from Janet Scrivner McGinn. My family calls me GranJan, short for Grandmother Janet, with 5 granddaughers. I am a retired middle school teacher.
STORIES INSPIRED BY THE TRUTH … First draft feature, Widowed Without Warning. Both completed features, Most Wanted Dad and Yard of Love won quarter-finalist awards.
GOAL FOR THIS CLASS, complete a TV binge-worthy drama entitled, Laptop In a Bottle.
STRANGE EVENT … In April 2024, PHOENIX screenplay writers conference, Chris Lockhart was the keynote speaker. During Q and A, I asked if in his early career did he attend a pitch fest in LAS VEGAS in 2003? He addressed the conference… Were you the one with the laptop who showed a video of your dead husband inside a tent? … I have talked about that pitch for years. …. Yup, we took a photo together.-

`I am Madeline Smith. I am just starting to write scripts. I have developed several unscripted shows but I have so many ideas for scripted shows. I chose Screenwirting U as my educational tool to enable me to go beyond just a good idea. I have been a writer most of my life and these courses are honing my gift. I hope to turn this gift into a viable career in TV development including writing. Something unique about me, I am also a fashion designer.

1. Name? My name is Robert Condon. Most people call me Bob.
2. How many scripts you’ve written? I’ve written three comedy scripts and one drama.
3. What you hope to get out of the class? My hope is to gain strategies and techniques to be a solid writer and gives me motivation to never give up until I am able to sell scripts that are unique to the world. I also hope to collaborate with others in the scriptwriting process.
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you? I don’t give up and I will support those in my circle as best as I can. Life threw me many curveballs (happens to all of us), but I come back stronger each time. My feeling is that is is my moment to put my skills to use.
