    Tell us the following:

    1. Name?
    2. How many scripts you’ve written?
    3. What you hope to get out of the class?
    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?

We look forward to working with you all!

Hi everyone ~ my name is Marykay and I'm really excited about this class! I have written exactly zero scripts, but lots of prose, short stories, and poems. I used to write a lot, but haven't written in recent years and I look forward to getting back to it.

In this class, I hope to rediscover my love of writing. Ideally I would love to transform a short story I wrote years ago into a screenplay. It's one of those stories that really stuck with me and my heart says it's neither finished nor in its final format.

The instructions suggested I share something unique, special, or strange about me and I had to chuckle a bit because I think there's a lot unique, special, and strange about me. Picking just one thing to start, I have a herd of rescue and adopted alpacas on an urban alpaca sanctuary just outside Atlanta. Mind you, as much as I love animals, I didn't actually set out to have a herd of rescue and adopted alpacas, so let's just say it all started with my son, his request we get chickens, and the story unfolds from there. It was a serendipitous progression and I have no regrets.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Greetings my name is Elizabeth and I’ve written two screenplays one which I sent to Paramount or rather hand delivered and then they called me and were very generous in their praise but said they weren’t doing that type of subject at that time. I’m looking forward to this class to help me to turn my book children of light, which I’m still working on, into a saleable screenplay. The book is based on healing through prayer and at the time that I wrote the screenplay about it not much was in the media about that subject. I believe it’s time has come at this point though because there have been movies about that very thing, one of them is called breakthrough. Something unusual about myself is that I am a prayer minister and have seen the dead raised, literally through prayer. Looking forward to bringing this topic to the public in a way that makes more people Turn to this solution for answers.

Hey everyone, my name is Copper! I’ve written a handful of scripts, mostly short ones and a few that are in the works. Definitely looking to push myself further in this class.

What I hope to get out of the class: I’m looking to refine my scriptwriting skills, learn more about structure and pacing, and just connect with others who are into storytelling, especially in sci-fi and metaphysical genres. I’m also working on a script for a more profound, layered story.

Something unique about me: I’m really into the idea of astral projection and outer-body experiences, and I like to blend those themes into my writing. I’ve got some wild ideas about parallel worlds and mind-hacking that I’m working on for my sci-fi book.

Also, I have a degree in Creative Writing for movies, TV, and video games from Full Sail. I’m excited about improving my scriptwriting skills! Looking forward to learning from everyone and sharing some cool ideas!
