    Hi everyone,

I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.

To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.

    Tell us the following:

    1. Name?
    2. How many scripts you’ve written?
    3. What you hope to get out of the class?
    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?

We look forward to working with you all!

    Hi This is Kath Hewitt,
I have been a student of Hal’s for several years and love his classes.
Since starting I have written 7 scripts.
I hope to increase my writing skills, especially character development, and learn how to use AI to become better and get a script produced.
Something special about me is that my first script received a double reccommend when submitted for coverage on Stage 32, which I credit to all the great things I’ve learned in Hal’s classes over the years.

    Hi all, Jeff Bassetti here
    I’ve written 11 screenplays
What I want to get out of this class is to learn what I don’t know, or am ignoring, and take my writing to the next level.
I’ve made an indie feature film called F-STOPS, which took 5 years to develop while searching for the funds, 3 months of pre-production, 19 day shoot, about 8 months to edit, and then 19 years to distribute because of that age-old trap of getting taken by sales reps. That journey was both heartbreaking and incredible at the same time. I would not trade that experience for anything. I’m excited about WIM and looking forward to virtually meeting everyone.

Hello! My name is Stephanie Deal.
I've written 5 film scripts, 2 TV pilots+pitch decks and co-written 2 additional film scripts.
I hope to establish a writing regimen using Hal's techniques. I'm currently a bit all over the place with what I'm doing, and I keep changing my mind about projects. I need focus, discipline, and a target. I'm hoping the class assignments will not only provide me with better writing skills but a clearer path from start to finish.
I wrote a rom-com mystery novel on a bet. To this day, it's still my most favorite book to read. I also wrote, directed and produced an 8-minute short that we shot in one day and took 8 grueling, exhausting months to edit. But that one day of filming was the greatest day of my life. I completely understand why people make terrible, cheap movies that make no money whatsoever. It's exhilarating!

    Hi!
Angela Matemotja here, starting a tad late, but I am looking forward to learning! I’ve written four screenplays and self-produced one. I want to learn how to write a script that sells!
I was born in the former Soviet Union and am half South African 🙂

    Hi Everyone in WIM 11,

I’m JON C.CARLSON and although I’ve been writing for many years, I’ve only completed a handful of feature length screenplays. I’ve written TV specs, and many different short film scripts.
I hope to utilize A.I. more efficiently and effectively than I ever have before and create a truly compelling story that will gain some interest in the industry.
I’m a SAG actor, VO artist and musician (bass, drums) I love riding my Harley Davidson and watching movies. I also like visiting ancient sites throughout the world.

    My name is Anne-Laure.
I’ve written several short scripts, two feature-length screenplays, and a TV pilot. I’m taking this class to refine my existing drafts, spark new ideas, and continue developing my skills as a storyteller.
Originally from France, I also have strong ties to the United States, which has influenced both my creative voice and perspective. I’m passionate about all aspects of filmmaking—acting, directing, editing, and especially writing.

    Hi! I’m George Strakosch.

I’ve written 1 screenplay and 2 TV pilots.
I’ve taken several of Hal’s classes and learned a lot. The last few years I’ve concentrated on TV.
I want to elevate my writing. I want to learn Hal’s techniques for screenplays. I want to gain expertise using AI in this process. I need to do a much better job of developing concepts. I need to develop a process that I can follow to stay focused on my writing. And, of course, I want to create a screenplay and market it successfully.
Over the years, most of my writing has been for the stage and I’ve had a number of pieces produced regionally.
I’m looking forward to working with all of you.
