I’m glad you’ve joined us for the class.
To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

an additional new script in 30-days + all that implies
I slipped out of my 2nd period High School Studyhall in Indiana, to run away to Hawaii and in California the car stopped next to me at a red light was a relative. I returned to a Military School. Two years later, I was living in La Jolla and surfing with a well-known surfer. Shortly thereafter, by way of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, I was living in Hawaii where I am an architect and now, Screenwriting.

Hello, I am Stan.
I’ve written about six scripts, completed or in progress.
I am hoping this class kick-starts my next screenplay, and gives me strategies and techniques to write scripts quickly and efficiently.
I will be doing this class privately.
Good luck to all of you!

Hi everyone, I’m David.
While I have written 0 feature length films, I am currently working as both producer and screenwriter for a film based upon a true story. Because I am still researching and interviewing, I am not ready to start writing the screenplay, since it is still being discussed whether it is a single film, or possibly episodic. However, everything I learn from this class will be used toward that screenplay once I am ready.
In the meantime, I do have another story that I have been itching to get out over the past 10 years, and I find this to be the perfect place to do just that.
While my passion for filmmaking has always been editing and post production, I have had a drive to bring new fantasy and supernatural tales to the screen, and considering how bad things have become, some escapism is good every now and then.

Hi, my name is Kathi Wahed
I’ve written 9 scripts.
I’m hoping to complete the first draft of a new screenplay, and generally get me back into the writing process again.
I was 2nd in the nation in swimming backstroke when I was 10. Never made it to 1st but am still swimming 🙂

Hi, Emmanuel, I’ve completed one feature, two pilots and one TV spec.
Look forward to learning more about creating a story outline quickly and the best practices to writing a first draft script in 30 days. Anything under 6 months would be ideal.

Hi Everyone!
My nickname/screenwriter name is Sassy Chan, although my mother still calls me Susan .
I have about 6 scripts in various stages, and wanted to take this class so I can move on to the next script in a quick and healthy manner. I’m trying to kill the beast of perfectionism or at least tame it into a docile pet.
I love animals and astrology, too.

Hi! I’m Lee.
I’ve written a ton of scripts. I’ve been doing it for 20 years now so I guess I’d better have, huh.
I’m hoping to get a kick-start on my first new script in quite a while after spending the last few years either perfecting, updating, and marketing older material which seems to be finding a new audience now and also doing a couple work-for-hire projects through a traditional publishing company.
I had a long career as a 6th grade teacher, and one of my favorite “tools” for classroom management were stuffed animals :).
