Hi, my name is Beverley Wood and I’ve written a dozen (ish) scripts and I hope to get two rewrites (but I’ll settle for one good one) in the next 10 weeks.
Let me see, strange and unusual… haha, where do I start? Here’s the first paragraph of “about me” on Linkedin:
A former blackjack dealer, I;ve played high-stakes poker with outlaws and prime ministers, flipped houses in Canada and Mexico, sold popcorn to China, lived on boats in Toronto and Vancouver and in an old hacienda in Mexico – and never shied away from trouble.
I am very much looking forward to this class, I got a great deal from Profounds Screenplalys and Subtext Secrets.

My screenwriting name is John Allen Duvall I have written full drafts of five scripts and am in development on another screenplay, a limited series pilot, and a continuing series pilot. I am hoping to learn more about promoting and producing my scripts, especially by networking with managers, actors, directors and producers. I am a graduate of the USC Cinema Program and worked in feature sound post-production in Hollywood for over a decade. I am a bit older than most aspiring screenwriters, but my work just keeps getting better and better. Most radical thing I ever did was hitchhiking around Europe by myself for five months in 1975.

My name is Timothy Hicks. I’ve written, and rewritten one screenplay, and started two other screenplays. I’m coming from writing fiction, and hope to finish a screenplay for this course.
My travel experience is much less extensive than Beverley. Working on middle school computers limited my travel to our building and helping other schools.
Something different about me is I worked over twenty years in the school system. After retiring, I homeschooled our grandson for two years. After retiring from homeschooling, I ran for our county school board.
Now, I write fiction after hearing all those stories at school. You’d be amazed at the tall tales from teachers explaining how their laptops were damaged. It was like an adult version of ‘the dog ate my homework’.
