To start the class out, please introduce yourself below. That will give you a chance to be part of this group and learn how the forums work.
Tell us the following:
1. Name?
2. How many scripts you’ve written?
3. What you hope to get out of the class?
4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?
We look forward to working with you all!

Hi all,
My name is Avalon, Amanda Avalon 🙂
I’ve finished 3 features, a pilot and 3 shorts. I’m currently writing a new feature (or two actually). I write comedy, romantic comedy and dramedy with a female protagonist(s).
3. My goal is to finish my comedy feature during this course and to learn the fundaments of a profound screenplay.
4. If only I knew before… I could’ve watching movies instead of reading a bunch of law books.
Let’s have fun and learn!
– Amanda

My name is Dale Griffiths Stamos.
I am both a playwright and screenwriter. In theater I have written four full length plays and 20 odd short plays. Most of the shorts have been produced at various small theaters. Two of the full lengths have been produced in Los Angeles. In film, I have written and produced or coproduced 6 short films, three of which I directed. They have gone to multiple film festivals. I have written three feature-length scripts.
My goal is to learn what makes a screenplay profound, since this is what I seek to do in everything I write.
Something unique? I am fluent in French (used to be a French teacher) and speak Spanish well, and some Italian, even a bit of Greek! (don’t ask.) 🙂
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Lori Lance, and I have completed eight feature-length screenplays. During this class, I hope to write a profound Christmas feature!
I’ve recently been asked by a couple of people in the entertainment industry what I do for a living other than writing. And lol, what does my husband do. So, it seems that being a stay-at-home mom that devotes her extra time to writing is unusual or maybe even strange to some, but I have to say that I am incredibly grateful to do just that.

My name is Valerie Getsinger.
I have written two screenplays. They both need work to be better.
From taking this class, I hope to learn how to write screenplays that work, have all the components needed, and are profound.
Something that is unusual about me is that I am half English and half American.
