1. Hi one and all, my name is Leroy Kincaide and I am a writer/director and occasional DP from the UK.
2. I have written about 3 feature scripts and have just had my debut horror (The Last Rite), distributed by Samuel Goldwyn films, which released in the states only a couple of weeks ago.
3. My goal from taking the course is to elevate my understanding of the Action genre/conventions, so that I can further develop my writing and story telling ability.
4. For something that’s a littlie different about myself, I would say that some years ago I was a professional wrestler who had a match on WWE smackdown. But now that the dust has settled and the smoke is clear, I have found the passion for the film industry and have not looked back since.
I can not wait to take the course.
Best wishes
Leroy K

Hello everyone, my name is Dwight Tincher. I have written two scripts. With this class I want to learn how to take those scripts and some other ideas I have to the next level. Not all of them are action genre scripts, but they all have sequences of action in them and I figure I can use what I learn here and apply it to those scenes. Now let’s see what makes me unique? Well, I am a forty plus year cancer survivor and a former professional bowler in the 80’s (albeit not very successful). I’m finally at a place in my life where I can devote myself to writing full-time. I look forward to getting to know everyone here and I hope you enjoy my work or at least are not afraid to tell me where it needs improvement.

Good morning,
I’m Cameron Martin. I’ve finished one feature script (started many). I hope to tighten up my action storytelling and learn that the greatest treasure was the friends I made along the way. I’m a black belt in Taekwondo and have Asperger’s.

I have written two scripts and want to expand my writing drama from drama to action and to use the tools and skills that I learn in this class to write great action scripts and elevate my writing to more than one new level.
Something unique – I have been a nursing sister for 17 years. I am teaching for the past 8 years for the local high school and had to relearn, writing, reading etc. after being diagnosed with Covid Encephalitis in April this year. So being able to create again is a huge win for me.
Looking forward to working with all of you.

Hi everyone – I am a retired Internist who has always been fascinated by people and their stories. After all, we are the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves. When I was a newly qualified physician, I went on a skiing holiday and did a pirouette on a fixed right foot. My binding did not give. Consequently, I had a spiral fracture of my tibia, could not work and was in a toe to hip plaster for a long time. I read Michael Crichton’s first book, The Andromeda Strain, enjoyed it enormously, wrote my own medical thriller, got it published and promised myself when I retired, I would pick up the pen once again.
I have written a couple of scripts, but want to up my game.
The stories that interest me involve taking my medical database, looking at it differently, expanding the horizons of my imagination and creating a compelling medical fiction story.-
“The Andromeda Strain” is one of my all-time favorite films and the best to offer insight into the nature of “The Scientific Method” to middle-grade students.

Hi Folks… Diana T. Black.
Three Features – one of which was optioned, but Debut Producer couldn’t accrue the funds for that mid-budget film.
One TV Series – the Pilot is complete, table read, numerous rewrites, currently working on the Bible/Pitch Deck for it.
Three Mini-series for the streaming market, one of which is being rewritten as an Action Thriller, hence my interest in this course
Various other projects including two theatrical plays and two novelizations of some of the above – in varying stages of development
I’m hoping to nail down the conventions for the aforementioned Action-Thriller.
Deep Ecologist (former senior science educator for 20+ years), now a FT spec screenwriter. Actor (when I can get the work). Scuba Diver, Fencing Instructor…Empath.
