    1. Name?

    2. How many scripts you’ve written?

    3. What you hope to get out of the class?

    4. Something unique, special, strange or unusual about you?

Hi, Ed Lusk from Ohio here. I’ve written 6 scripts. I hope to learn the requisites of the horror genre, which is unknown to me, because …. I’m collaborating with pod cast writer adapting his material into a horror screenplay. I’ve sensed spirits and ghosts in locations where tragedy has struck.

Hi, Sunil from Richmond, I have written three scripts. one is learning script another is okay script and third halfway is going to be profound script. All credits go to Mr. Hall for teaching us in master class 15. He is right you are not going to change your Baby. Finally, did it and I feel like I have to learn more about the horror scripts

I am slow writer, on top of it my script changes or shifted place in the morning by itself. Have you heard the story of ant who climbs and fall down and try again to climb? very strange. But learn from my life don’t give up.

    Hello,

I’m Kevin Mann from Palm Springs, CA. I’ve written several shorts and two full length scripts. The full length scripts I have written are both horror. I am hoping this class will help me take those scripts to the next level.

Way back when, I was an actor in the first holographic arcade game.

That’s cool! I remember that game being really expensive. I played it once, died immediately, and walked away forever. And here we are together all these years later.

Yes! It was really expensive for the time it came out. Trust me, I saw none of that money! LOL I did have the pleasure of watching my nephews shoot my head off and watch as my neck erupted in flames…good times!!

Wuttup, y’all? My name is Micah Delhauer. I’ve written dozens of scripts, a few of which are actually good. Horror is my jam, and I’m hoping this class helps me to better write more focused and commercial stories. I’m currently filming my first feature film (a horror movie, naturally). It’s been in production for the past two years thanks to a certain virus you probably never heard of.

Hi, I’m Julian Brantley from L.A. I’ve written over 10 scripts in different genres, mostly with writing partners. I’m hoping to get a deeper knowledge of what Producers are looking for in Horror material, and how I can elevate my current Horror scripts and those I write in the future.

I am an editor, working in Marketing, Short Films and last year I cut my first Feature Film.

    Hi, Everyone,

    I’m Madeleine Vessel.

I’ve written three scripts and am in the middle of writing a fourth.

Usually, I write thrillers, but because horror has so many similar characteristics, I’ve decided to try my hand at it.

You might like to know that I’ve been a movie buff since I was a kid, working as an extra on the movie, THE MISFITS, starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Montgomery Clift. This was the last movie any of them acted in before they died–eerie back then and eerie now.

I’m looking forward to working with you all!

    Hi,

I’m Letitia Guillory. I’ve been writing most of my life and started in the theatre. I’ve written many plays, solo performances, short films (6), features (4) and episodic scripts (4). I am hoping to start outlining a new horror project as well as foster other ideas for the genre.

Lastly, as a little kid, I enjoyed going to graveyards and reading the headstones of the deceased. Call it, “early character development.” 🙂

    Wonderful to meet you all!

    Best,

    Letitia

    Hi Everyone,

    1. I’m Kathy Gerow, from outside of Boston, Mass.

    2. I’ve written 1 script, two books, and several short stories, none of which have seen the light of day outside of my home. (I think I should also take a script-selling course!) : )

    3. I hope to learn all that I can about the horror genre.

    4. I’m an ordinary person, and because I hold ordinary people in good regard, I’m a happy person.

I’m glad to meet all of you.

This will be a fun class!

    Hey all ,

I’m Dublin Wahlberg. I’ve completed two tv pilots, a short film (in pre-production) and 3/4 of a feature film ( if that counts). I have eight more scripts in various phases.

I’m a big horror fan and I have four concepts I want to flesh out. I’m hoping to learn a new approach to writing with this class.

I’ve had spiritual encounters and my unique talent is that I sound much taller on the phone.

HI everyone, I’m James Burns from Toronto in snowy Canada. I’ve written a few scripts and a few books (a couple published). I also used to write for a TV comedy show. I want to really get into the nuts and bolts of what makes a good horror film, with the view to writing more of them. I love the comedy crossover genres, so Shaun of the Dead and Dead Snow are two examples of the level of horror film I am trying to write.

Hi all! My name is Gregg Guest. I’ve written four feature scripts and numerous shorts. I love history and tend to gravitate toward war stories and action/adventure, but I’m trying to branch out into other genres such as Horror, so I am hoping to learn more about the form and how to truly terrorize people.

For a few years I was Director of Special Projects at Marvel Entertainment in NY. Working for Spider-Man wasn’t easy but it was fun!

Looking forward to some good scares 🙂

Hello, Everyone! I’m Tom Wilson, have written three scripts and taken many SU classes including ProSeries, Binge Worthy, Career Launch and MSC. I’m retired from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and was in the Writers Guild program in which professional screenwriters mentor veterans to write screenplays. I look forward to becoming Horror-Able.

    Hey everybody!

I’m Claire V. Riley from Brooklyn, NY. This will be my tenth script. I hope to come up with a fantastic high concept from this class and get a good start on a highly marketable horror script. And I also hope to meet more great writer colleagues as I usually do in Hal’s classes.

I had an LGBTQ comedy feature produced, THE PERFECT FAMILY. It starred Kathleen Turner and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Hello, and good luck to all of you. I’ve read about each of you fascinating creatures and it’s nice to be in a group full of writers wanting to scare the shit out of people.

I’ve written several screenplays, several pilots, a couple books, short stories, poetry, songs and a bunch of stuff I’m not sure how to describe. I just love to get words out of my hard skull and onto soft flexible paper . I hope to learn as much as possible as I attempt to write my second script in this genre. I loved horror since I was a kid and for most of my, adult life. However, somewhere along the way I decided I didn’t like it anymore. Maybe because of the bad dreams that made me wet. Stop! I know what you’re thinking, but you’d be wrong. I’m talking about sweat. I would wake up drenched. Anyway, I decided it’s time to get wet again. I have a short film making its way through the festival circuit right now. I’ve got all my body parts crossed. Hope two see you all on the scary side. B well!
