    Hi!

    Bobby Yan

Director/Writer. Written two feature scripts and several shorts in festivals. Seven Emmy awards as a sports producer. Recently directed my first movie for Lifetime.

Looking to revise an existing feature script. The profound moments and elements of the story are exactly what I am looking to add. I never could put words to it but this came across my email exactly at the right time as I am wrapping up the next draft. I hope to put this film into some labs i.e. Sundance and have it produced as my debut independent feature.

Fun fact: I used to be a singer when I was younger and this script is loosely based on my experiences in a Gospel Choir down South.

    Hi!

Maria Helena Nascimento, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have written telenovelas and series for Brazilian TV for the past 30 years. As a co-writer I worked in more than 10 titles, and as a leading writer in one.

I came to this course because I hope to add depth to my first movie idea. At this point, the story is outlined, but I feel it misses punch, impact.

Something special about me… not so special, but I graduated in Journalism and never worked in any newspaper or magazine. I also have published a novel in the early 2000s.

My name is Terrell Harris. Nicknames Tashi or just T.

I’ve written 3 feature length scripts.

I received feedback from a contest. Writers are given a chance to resubmit after getting feedback. The profound class seemed a match for the feedback I was given, so the timing was perfect.

I had a major stroke in 2016 that I’m still covering from. The last script I wrote I treated like brain therapy and I managed to complete it, after learning how to spell again starting over with 3 letter words. I type with one hand and dictation software. So if my English is a little wonky, please forgive me.

    Hi everyone!

My name is Bob Hucul or you can call me Huculberry!

I’ve written countless stories in my head 🙂 but none finished yet on paper which is all that matters.

I hope to create structure this month around my writing via the course schedule and learn about the profound model/elements to help me propel an idea I’ve had to a finished draft in the next 60-90 days.

Last year this time I had just came out of open heart surgery (to repair an aortic root aneurysm). I’ve always had an interest in screenwriting and since the surgery I’ve vowed to make it happen. Also it so happens that today I was given 60 days notice from my job… so this course has come at the perfect time!

    Looking forward to it!

    Cheers

Theone here. I’m from the States but living in Canada now. Worked 7 years on the same show as a director. Now looking to make the transition to scripted content. Wrote/directed an award winning short a few years back.

I’ve written about 4 scripts but only completed one. I’m excellent at completing projects for other people but struggle to finish my own.

I recently completed a first draft of a new script, looking to apply the principles from the class to do the next draft so the timing of this class couldn’t be more perfect!

I’m obsessed with death – from the spiritual, physical, emotional, otherworldly and real world aspects of this process. I am an expert skier moving in 2 weeks to a mountain town 4 mins from the base of world class skiing. I have been known to be a ham as a performer but prefer to be behind the camera. I wear the same five or so outfits because I hate shopping. I find god in nature, in the shimmering of light and the gentle sound of rushing water.

Hi everybody. I am Dietrich, Dietrich von Oppeln from Germany. You find my work at my website visionq.online

I am a coach and lead seminars about Metaphysics and Consciousness – and my big passion is writing, especially movies. I have written also two novels. One I adapted to a Series »Taifun«.

Also have written several Scripts. One of them I really want to get on the screen. I got it needs something – so I have booked this course hoping to find valuable tips and tools to make this script better. And not only this one.

Non of my stories made it to the screen yet. Partly because I was not really behind it – lacking the confidence, that they were good enough. I hope to find more trust in them after I have completed this course and gave them all more profoundness.

It would be nice to connect. I am looking foward to exciting insights. Best! Dietrich

    Hi, Everyone, I’m Paige Miller.

I’ve written one script, and I have a script in my head that is screaming to get out. I don’t know what the plot really is yet, but I have a feeling about its ‘profound truth.’

I hope this class helps me brainstorm the comic/serious actions needed to bring the audience around to a different point of view.

I used to design software. Now I do digital marketing.

    Hi everyone,

I’m Andrea Cabañas, Brazilian-Australian living in Australia for the past 15 years.

I’m a former TV/film producer. I wrote/produced/directed a short film, worked as a screenwriter assistant and wrote a TV show pilot that ended up going on Youtube long ago. I’ve written two unproduced short scripts in Australia and five proof of concept scripts (POC). Recently, I wrote my first feature film script and finished another draft of my 2nd novel.

I love a good drama and the effect some movies have on me after seeing a good film. When I finished the first draft of my feature script, I noticed that it lacked depth; I just tossed my characters into random situations. I hope this course will help me find the profoundness I need to make this (and others) a successful movie.

I’m a vegetarian, have no kids, and am happily married to a man who supports me — even when this means firing me from my position as the manager of our business so I can have the time needed to do what I love: to write my stories (and make it happen!).

    Hi,

my name is Francois Régis Jeanne, as my name betrays it, I’m French.

Wrote and cowrote 7 scripts, directed many documentaries and co-directed one long feature called “Sisterhood” .

I’m really interested in this “profound” idea as I see works of art like movies as hypnotic metaphor that somehow makes you access to new perspectives.

I see myself as a “stranger storyteller” that’s why I’ve called my company “Stranger Films”

glad to meet you all and to attend to this class,

    Fr Jeanne

    Hi all!

    John Adam White here.

I have a past background in creative writing, since left behind. So new screenwriter, but long time filmmaking participant. I currently work in film and television for a living.

I have 2 partially written scripts.

Looking to strengthen my pre-existing mental framework of screenwriting skill/education built from previous courses and mentors; and have another powerful set of tools with which to draw from and craft scripts/stories that actually impact those who read/experience them.

While I am very passionate about Film, music happens to be my first love, I’m a musician (keyboardist) and before filmmaking, my entrance as a kid was performing. So I’m also an Actor. Those are skillsets I have temporarily but on the back burner to build a strong career foundation in Film. I also have a side-hustle of designing highly polished Pitch Decks and Trailers for various film/tv projects –indie and beyond.

Thankful to be a part of this awesome group and look forward to the rest of this already *incredible* teaching!

    –John
