What I learned: Even though we did a similar exercise in module 1, revisiting the concept and sub-world helped elevate my knowledge of the project.

A special operations corpsman creates a rogue covert unit to rescue a missing family member while uncovering an extraterrestrial conspiracy behind the disappearance.

2. Tell us the World of this show.

Unique Sub-World: Marine Raider Regiment, Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT)

Previously unexplored: A female Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman assigned to an MSOT that goes rogue.

The unknown: Who or what is behind the disappearances and why so many seemingly coincidental connections to the corpsman.

The unseen: The alien abductors, the miliary leaders that are in the know, and the manipulation of the MSOT.

Unheard of Dangers: The dangers of combat mixed with the unknown danger presented by the aliens.

Reason to explore it: How will this seemingly peaceful healer who is equally a trained warrior confront the alien threat and is it really a threat?

NAVY RECON WORLD:

In the world of Marine Special Operations, the military’s resistance to rescuing their vanished intensifies the risk of facing prosecution for pursuing righteous yet rogue actions, coupled with the unknown danger posed by alien abductors.

What I learned doing this assignment is that AI is acting as gut confirmation/validation that most of my ideas are where I want the story to go. AI is sometimes much more concise in a hook or bullet point. But sometimes it is quite a bit more verbose, rambling or off-target. But all in all, I’m finding that AI is a helpful tool for idea generation and validation of my own creativity.
