WIM Module 5, Lesson 10
Lenore Bechtel Continuing Act 3
My vision: I want to create enough salable screenplays that an agent will want to market my work and recommend me for writing assignments.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I am unable to speed write while having to come up with extra details not in my outline.
I managed to add one flashback, getting Dire Expectations up to 72 pages. Before I continue, I need to do lots of thinking, so that when I start, I can speed write again.
I have certainly learned how important a detailed outline truly is. I zoomed through my first draft of my Writing Incredible Movies outline of Berlin Rendezvous? Also zoomed through my first draft of the outline I made in the Thriller class for Dire Expectations. But it was inadequate and now I’m in brainstorming mode.
I am looking upon this problem as an opportunity to make the screenplay better. Thinking positively usually works for me. We’ll see!

Margaret’s continuing Act 3
Vision: To be the best faith-based screenwriter
what I learned: I was missing a few scenes in my outline. The flow didn’t make sense without them. I gave myself permission to add them and kept going…

WIM Module 5, Lesson 10
Lloyd Shellenberger Continuing Act 3
My vision Working Hard every day to become the best writer I can be and as a result I do become the best writer in Hollywood.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I missed or put scenes in an improper order which created logic and linear problems. My outline needs to be more comprehensive and on point.
I added or rearranged several scenes since they were not in correct order or inaccurate A detailed outline is king!!!
I see all these mistakes as chance to learn and become better.

Alyssa’s Continuing Act 3
One Sentence Vision: To be the best writer I can be and a go-to writer in the industry, crafting scripts that become successful movies and make a lasting impact on people.
I was running into a few core problems with the serum/bands so I have brainstormed an alternate that is similar but requires a few tweaks to the world and main character (behavior). I am speed-running the rest of my first draft to honor this version of the outline so I can get into the nitty-gritty of problem solving in the second draft. Will need to adjust some of the core elements but hopefully I can keep most of the outline. So in the meantime my dialogue and action lines are suffering but I am not worried about the quality right now- moving forward!

Melissa Barreca Continuing Act 3
My vision: Melissa Barreca is one of the most sought after writers in the movie industry because of the artistry of her writing, professionalism and exceptional ability to tell important, entertaining, joyful, and heartbreaking stories that inspire audiences and become legendary classics.
What I learned from doing this assignment is/How it’s going:
I have found myself tweaking scenes as I go at this stage. Mainly because there are some things that don’t feel like they flow and other things that occur as I’m writing that need to be in the scene to fulfill the outline as it is written. So I am sticking very close to the outline, but improving slightly as I go. It doesn’t seem to be slowing me down at all and is clearly a process of the story, revealing itself to me, aided by the outline. I believe this is still in the spirit of fast writing, and all of the rules!

Adrienne – Continuing Act 3 Module 5 Lesson 10
My Vision: I am going to work as hard as I reasonably am able to succeed at script writing to be recognized by multiple movie producers as a skilled script writer, and to have my scripts produced worldwide.
What I have learned from this assignment is the importance of listening to the audio, and don’t become discouraged. Keep moving forward.
I enjoy writing, especially when I’m not trying to be perfect. My scenes will eventually come together with the final draft, but I have to be content with my 6-10 pages in Act 3.
