Lynn’s Act 3 the next 6-10 pages
VISION: I am determined to become a great screenwriter capable of getting my screenplays in various genres produced into movies that inspire vast audiences to mitigate climate change.
I LEARNED that by glancing at my 1st draft I see a lot of “talking heads” parts, even though I tried to create more interesting actions and settings. But that’s okay because in future drafts I’ll work on creating more action within those scenes and/or making the settings more interesting. I could include comedic actions, since it’s a RomCom. And maybe some action that has subtext that might contradict the dialogue, or point to other things, or be symbolic.
I don’t have any time for writing or other screenwriting activities now that I’ve finished the script’s 1st draft. Life has piled up. But I’m letting my creative process take over and percolate until we get Module 6 and into the second draft.

Ron’s Continuing Act 3
VISION: I want the success and recognition of being an in demand, A-list screenwriter who writes successful films that are financially profitable, award winning and of enduring quality.
I am in the home stretch, I figured out the plot and made adjustments to the outline. Once I do that the writing is a lot easier….never easy but easier!

Andrew Boyd
Just nailed Act 2. Too long, but will cut it later. On to Act 3!
What I’ve learned from this assignment:
Keep going. I’m boiling down a book to about a quarter length. That’s a lot of darlings to murder. I’m learning to let intuition, backed up by planning, tell me what to merge and what to cut.
-
Subject: Monica Continues Act 3
Vision: I will continue to learn everything I can through all different media to apply what I learn to become the best screenwriter I can be. To be successful in getting my movies made and to win awards in the process.
What I learned from doing this assignment is to keep moving forward.
How it’s going: Wrote the next 1/3 of Act 3.
-
Dana Continuing Act 3
My Vision: I intend to perfect my skills to become a successful screenwriter, scripting acclaimed and profitable films, recognized by my peers, and living an adventurous life.
What I learned during this assignment:
I will finish my script exactly as I have outlined, but I’m going to be short, which will allow me to expand the story by creating a few more characters.
-
Amy’s Continuing Act 3
Vision: I want to become known as an expert in the family-friendly genre and make a full-time living as a screenwriter.
3. Tell us how it is going for you.
I’m making progress. I’m about 7 scenes from the end of Act III. I’m enjoying writing this script though it is definitely first draft quality, which kind of bothers me because I feel like I’ll just have to work that much harder later to fix it all, but I know this is the process, and I need to be okay with that.
-
Renee’s Continuing Act 3
My Vision: I will work hard to become a well-respected writer who gets my movies produced and has enough work to keep me busy and keep the lights on.
What I learned doing this assignment is to keep myself empowered and not allow myself to stall out while writing the first draft. Just get the story down and fix issues as you rewrite.
How It’s Going: I’m still trying to catch up, but I am confident that I will get through these lessons and be back on track by tomorrow.

Page 75 I feel like Im done with first draft, maybe a few more scenes, not obvious now.
-
Marcus Continuing Act 3
My Vision: Get a script made into a movie.
I’m continuing to move along in writing my script at a rapid pace.
-
Module 5 – Lesson 10 Continue Act 3. Next 6-10 Pages
Lisa Long Continuing Act 3
My Vision: I will do whatever it takes to be comfortable saying that I am a writer by creating impactful stories with amazing characters in order to sell my scripts.
What I learned from this assignment is push through even though it’s not great…yet!
-
Dave Holloway Continuing Act 3
My vision: I would like to be a successful writer in Hollywood, with a number of successful movies to my credit that put forward a core belief about environmental, political, or personal values.
What I learned doing this assignment is that using the speed writing rules lets me stand back from the story, rather than being immersed in the details of each line, and this allows ideas for new plot directions and new events to come to me.

MODULE FIVE LESSON TEN
FRAN’S CONTINUING ACT THREE
WHAT I LEARNED: Even during a holiday and no time to myself, I got some writing done!
MY VISION: I want to write great movies. Movies that are magical, movies that move people and tell the truth. I want to write movies that stars will want to be in.
Just sat down, put pen to paper, chose a scene and wrote.
-
Joe’s continuing Act 3
My vision is to persevere and stay the course of building steady daily routine, and disciplines that produce consistent writing of exceptional quality. Ultimately, the fruit of those habits and disciplines will be a track record of great marketable scripts that will make other successful talented pros seek me out.
What I learned: This may be the shortest of all my acts. This was the one section of the script that I was most fuzzy about, and I was worried I’d have to flesh it out more with 3 more scenes to make it work. But when I let my main character just give his “solilquy” I discovered that I can just jump cut to him leaving, without all that necessary hooplah. That was a huge relief. I’m starting to feel caught up with the rest of the class now after being behind for 3 weeks!

Erin Ziccarelli Continuing Act 3
Vision: I am going to create profound scripts that leave audiences remembering my movies and leave me excited to keep writing and moving up in the industry.
What I learned from doing this assignment is: I really like the quote at the beginning of lesson 10. I feel that the pacing of my script is finally increasing as all the setup is able to take off and make for a more interesting and deep second half.
