WIM Module 5 lesson 12 Starting Act four
Working Hard every day to become the best writer I can be and as a result I do become the best writer in Hollywood.
What I learned from this assignment is the need to watch and learn the direction the script is going. To me it often seems to have a mind of its own.

Margaret’s Starting Act 4
Vision – to be the best faith-based screenwriter
Progress: Into the best part – the climax. I envisioned this scene earlier so it was easiest to write.

WIM Module 5, Lesson 12
Lenore Bechtel Start Act 4
My vision: I want to create enough salable screenplays that an agent will want to market my work and recommend me for writing assignments.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I can write faster than I can cut something I’ve already written.
Because I’ve already written first drafts for two screenplays for this class, I decided to spend today’s writing time cutting a previously written 117 page screenplay down to 90 pages. Four hours later, I’m shocked to discover what I thought was some serious cutting obviously was not. I still have 113 pages and very little to show for today’s efforts.
So now I’m wondering about the relative marketability of a 113 page script as opposed to a 90 page script. I hope we find that out in this class.

Alyssa Started Act 4
One Sentence Vision: To be the best writer I can be and a go-to writer in the industry, crafting scripts that become successful movies and make a lasting impact on people.
Pushing into act four, which is the shortest act in my outline- I only have a few scenes and the main scene is quite long with a lot that happens in one location. As I fill it out, I may have to change the location once or move people around enough that it doesn’t get stagnant. But that’s a problem for the next draft! Speeding through for now.

Adrienne – Start .Act 4 Module 5 Lesson 12
My Vision: I am going to work as hard as I reasonably am able to succeed at script writing to be recognized by multiple movie producers as a skilled script writer, and to have my scripts produced worldwide.
What I have learned from this assignment is to keep empowering myself, keep writing without going back, and keep my creative juices flowing.
It’s a good feeling to know I can start Act 4 and keep to my concept and outline, while developing structure and dialogue.

Melissa Barreca Started Act 4
My vision: Melissa Barreca is one of the most sought after writers in the movie industry because of the artistry of her writing, professionalism and exceptional ability to tell important, entertaining, joyful, and heartbreaking stories that inspire audiences and become legendary classics.
What I learned from doing this assignment is/How it’s going: I’ve had a lot of productive writing days and very excited to get this draft across the finish line. Not letting the basic dialogue bother me.

Vision: I want to learn to write and market movie scripts.
What I learned writing this assignment: I learned I can keep writing even when I think I can’t.
State/Activity: Putting my characters in the ultimate conflict.
How is it going? It is coming along…I’d love to say it’s sailing along nicely, but there is this moment when I have to force myself to write.
