Lynn’s Start Act 4
Lesson 12 Avail 11/18
VISION: I am determined to become a great screenwriter capable of getting my screenplays in various genres produced into movies that inspire vast audiences to mitigate climate change.
Finished the script, waiting for Module 6, taking care of my life outside of screenwriting that got postponed and piled up.
RE the empowerment process, I also use other techniques, such as prayer (that would work for religious people).
Reading over the script now, making a few corrections.

Module 5 – Lesson 12 Start Act 4. 6-10 Pages
Lisa Long Started Act 4
My Vision: I will do whatever it takes to be comfortable saying that I am a writer by creating impactful stories with amazing characters in order to sell my scripts.
What I learned from this assignment is it is difficult at this stage to continue with the outline and not let the new ideas that have come up during the writing process to creep into the story!

Ron’s Started Act 4
VISION: I want the success and recognition of being an in demand, A-list screenwriter who writes successful films that are financially profitable, award winning and of enduring quality.
It’s going great. I put the protagonist and antagonist in ultimate. Nowjust got to wrap her up and do a couple of scenes. Then the hard part of rewriting.and revising
I learned that discipline—focus, with slow and steady, will win the race

Subject: Monica Started Act 4
Vision: I will continue to learn everything I can through all different media to apply what I learn to become the best screenwriter I can be. To be successful in getting my movies made and to win awards in the process.
What I learned from doing this assignment is to keep moving forward writing as fast as I can without going to do any revisions.
How it’s going: Finished the first third of the final Act. Had to insert a couple of extra scenes for it to make sense. Ideas are flowing, continue to add script notes so as not forget them.
-
Amy Started Act 4
Vision: I want to become known as an expert in the family-friendly genre and make a full-time living as a screenwriter.
3. Tell us how it is going for you.
I’m plodding along. I have one more scene to write. I think I’m going to finish at about 90 pages, which I think may be a little short, but still in the range of acceptable length.
What I learned from doing this assignment is…I’m still fighting just to write and not criticize what I wrote or to stop to agonize over every little word. I’ve caught myself wordsmithing many times, then I redirect to continue writing just off the top of my head.

Renee’s Start of Act 4
My Vision: I will work hard to become a well-respected writer who gets my movies produced and has enough work to keep me busy and keep the lights on.
What I learned doing this assignment is to keep myself empowered and not allow myself to stall out while writing the first draft. Just get the story down and fix issues as you rewrite.
How It’s Going: Currently I’m at 53 pages through Act 3 with nine scenes to go. I think I’ll end up hovering just shy of 80 pages, but I have a lot of notes for things to add when we start on the second draft, so I think I’ll be fine and may even end up having to cut some pages when all is said and done.

Marcus Started Act 4
My Vision: Get a script made into a movie.
I’m continuing to move
along in writing my script at a rapid pace. -
Module 5, Lesson 12 – Start Act 4
Subject: Rob Ingalls Started Act 4
MY VISION:
To be a Talented writer that delivers quality fast, with the film industry seeking me out.
WIL: My outline for Act 4 was very weak. I had more scene info for the very last part of Act 4 so that is what I focused on for this lesson. I now need to work the outline to go for the beginning and middle part of Act 4. The last part is done.
-
Joel Stern Start of Module 5 Act 4
My Vision: To write eight blockbuster screenplays and to get a speaking line in at least one.
What I learned from this assignment: To continue to speed write and not worry about writing the perfect scene at this point of the process.
-
WIM2 – Dana Started Act 4
My Vision: I intend to perfect my skills to become a successful screenwriter, scripting acclaimed and profitable films, recognized by my peers, and living an adventurous life.
What I learned during this assignment:
Completing all 4 acts of my script, I found myself short 30 pages in a 90-page script. I have been reworking the outline and adding scene and characters to enhance and expand the script.
-
Dave Holloway started Act 4
My vision: I would like to be a successful writer in Hollywood, with a number of successful movies to my credit that put forward a core belief about environmental, political, or personal values.
What I learned doing this assignment is that if you write the broad strokes of a scene in whatever words come to you, you can feel confidence that when you go back to the scene, you’ll be able to come up with better writing to improve the scene’s quality.

<div>Joe Started Act 4</div><div>
My vision is to persevere and stay the course of building steady daily routine, and disciplines that produce consistent writing of exceptional quality. Ultimately, the fruit of those habits and disciplines will be a track record of great marketable scripts that will make other successful talented pros seek me out.
6-10 pages of something of substance really does take more effor than i thought. The passing of time becomes irrelevant once I’m aware of the substance I’m fleshing out, but then I discover, wow, that was 2 hours?
I have totally embraced the “write a little bit, then take a break, and write some more”. I am doing once scene, then doing something else, to let my creative mind mull over it, and then another scene a few hours later, and this gets me through 10 pages by the end of the day. The intent of the outline and the scenes stays the same, but all those details keep morphing and evolving.

Joel Stern Started Act 4
My vision: To write eight Hollywood blockbusters and to get a speaking line in at least one.
What I learned from this assignment:
I’m actually finishing my first draft — got caught up with extra holiday work at my workplace. I have 85 pages and am wrapping it up. I didn’t want to seem like I vanished!
I’m looking forward to begin improving the second draft in the next day or so.

Erin Ziccarelli Starting Act 4
Vision: I am going to create profound scripts that leave audiences remembering my movies and leave me excited to keep writing and moving up in the industry.
What I learned from doing this assignment is: It’s very exciting for me to get to Act 4, since the whole script has been a build-up to the climax scene. Right now, I feel this act is a little too long, but I’m excited to write the next scene where the protagonist and antagonist “fight it out” face-to-face. Writing the whole script is also helping me to solve the “unknowns” that were still in Act 4 – I am sticking to my outline, but keeping some notes for draft 2.
