WIM Module 5, Lesson 14
Lloyd Shellenberger Has Finished Act 3 Working on Act 4
My vision: To become the best writer I can be and as a result I do become the best writer in Hollywood.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I really write bad stuff that will require considerable re-write but this is teaching me to trust the process.
I’m hoping the next Modules will clean up the mess!

WIM Module 5, Lesson 14
Lenore Bechtel Has Finished Act 4
My vision: I want to create enough salable screenplays that an agent will want to market my work and recommend me for writing assignments.
What I learned from doing this assignment is that I truly believe Sheryl Sandberg’s quote given in this lesson, “Done is better than perfect.”
I’m certain the next Module will help us all work toward the perfection we’d all like to see.

Alyssa Finished Act 4!
One Sentence Vision: To be the best writer I can be and a go-to writer in the industry, crafting scripts that become successful movies and make a lasting impact on people.
This was challenging at times but I appreciate the high speed writing rules and it clicked eventually, although I did go a little off book with some scenes- however, I still hit all the same turning points and major scenes in my outline so overall I’m happy although it’s shorter than I’d like and there a plenty of gaps to be filled out. Excited to make it better in the next module!

Adrienne Finish Act 4 Module 5 Lesson 14
My Vision: I am going to work as hard as I reasonably am able to succeed at script writing to be recognized by multiple movie producers as a skilled script writer, and to have my scripts produced worldwide.
What I have learned from this assignment is not to give up, even though distractions happen, keep going.
Is going slow, not always able to write as many pages I would like to, but it’s actually fun and gives a sense of accomplishment when I write an act and try to complete it.

Melissa Barreca Finished Act 4
My vision: Melissa Barreca is one of the most sought after writers in the movie industry because of the artistry of her writing, professionalism and exceptional ability to tell important, entertaining, joyful, and heartbreaking stories that inspire audiences and become legendary classics.
What I learned from doing this assignment is/How it’s going: And that’s a wrap on draft one! I have 101 pages and lots of room for improvement and elevating! Solid beginning and I am really pleased with the basic story. I would love to come up with more threads to weave in some of the key themes I am exploring earlier in the script and I think this next few assignments will help with that.

My Vision: I am going to be a professional screenwriter
What I learned from doing this assignment is…
From Hal’s lessons and explanations, it seems like I’ve always been more of a free writer – just write as it comes to me. This structured set-up is more like a business machine to me. I get that since we’re in the process of creating something that sells. So it seems in order for me to do that, I have to in a way detach myself from this and look at this process differently and I think it’s showing in my writing. Especially with hearing about this writer’s strike. It seems like only the strong will survive and everyone else is replaceable. I’m starting to look at this process more and more like the full-time job I have now. Not the same industry but some similar means of survival.
TITLE: DREAM VACATION
WRITTEN BY: H. Vince
GENRE: DRAMA/THRILLER
HIGH CONCEPT: When a retired couple finally take their dream vacation, the husband starts showing signs of rapid dementia and leaves his wife in distress in a foreign country.
