Lesson 3
Jessica’s Character Profile Part 2
What I learn during this assignment is: the questionnaire allowed me to know my character better. I discovered some secrets and traits I didn’t know she had.
What draws us to this character: she seems helpless, a young student arriving in a small city for an intership. Can she survives the supernatural phenomena in her rented room (that leave her sleep-deprived) and the cut-throat world of her internship (that will drives her to murder)?
Traits: liar (hides the truth). Observe other people and copy their traits, acting and sounding like them, almost unconsciously, like looking into a mirror.
Flaw: she has low self-esteem, so always want to be someone else.
Subtext: it’s easier to just be yourself. Let your real person shines. It’s less work to show your true self then try to hide your demon every day.
Values: extremely hard worker, she’s one of these people who would kill themselves at work, working long hours, etc. One day, falls asleep at work, and continues working in the morning, as if nothing has happened, pulling a 24 hour shift. Works come first.
Irony: she stole someone else’s identiy, slipping inside their life. Now, demon is trying to possess her, slipping inside her body.
What makes her the right character for this role? She’s a vulnerable young woman who discovers he true strength and uncovers her true self when she lets the demon out.-
